My deficit yesterday was 409. I've done well at shedding the excess water. I've only got 1/2 a pound to go.

Looks like everyone did well while the server was down! Wooohooooo!!!!!

Dgpebbles: It's called "Dance Off the Inches, Calorie Blasting Cardio"

I have bought 2 other previously, but right now it's pretty hard for me to keep up.

Kimberly - Congrats on those great lab results!! Amazing how we "are" what we eat? I totally agree with the oatmela/choclesterol thing. My DH had such dramatic results - I think from 230 to 180 in 3 months (no medicind). Good luck with TTC too!

Susan - I get so excited when I really have 40/30/30 days too!!! I like to just copy them! It's harder than it would seem - I usually end up more like 45-50/25ish/25ish - still too many carbs. Have you tried the steel cut oatmeal? It's really yummy. Takes about 25 minutes to cook though. Hate the munchies...

I weigh in tomorrow. I have a feeling I haven't lost this week? I just feel bigger for some reason? I've worked out for 90-120 minutes every day this month.

I do not eat bread - but I do oatmeal, yogurt, some fruit, veggies every day - with occasional brown rice, pasta... It's just hard for me to get it at 40%. I do the best if I keep updating my list as I eat and then around 4 pm see what I have to do to cut down carbs for dinner and up protein. My fat is usually not the problem. I do almonds mostly.

Yesterday, I don't think I had any overt carbs, well the bran buds. Besides that, they all came from veggies, fruit and yogurt. It's really hard. I'm not sure I can do that for maintenance.

There was definately no deficit here yesterday. I was so terrible yesterday that my body was literally ticked off at me this morning.

Gotta love (hate) it when your body gets to be smarter than you are!

I am really seeing encouraging results since I did that little reassessment the other day. Who says "kick it up a notch"? They are right. Just be a little more mindful.

Hello, everyone. Hope you're doing well . . .

Ok, I need help. I'm really having a hard time with the exercise thing. I don't know what my problem is, or how to fix it. Maybe I just need a kick in the butt! I just feel like I never have enough time, never get to do everything I want to do, never get enough sleep. It had been nice here weather-wise, but now we're in for a cold-spell. I really hate the cold, and feel the cold more than most people, so it's very hard to make myself get out there and walk in it. I had all these great plans . . . walk an hour a day, do my yogalates video three nights a week, swim at the gym twice a week . . . but I can't manage to do any of it! I feel like such a loser

Wow! I think I'd have stopped before I even started with an exercise schedule like that. Seriously! (Plus I tend to rebel against authority -- even if it's my own.)

Why don't you ease into the exercise schedule? Walk 20-30 minutes a day. Period. Do that for a few weeks and then see about either upping the minutes or adding something else in.

I'm still waiting for the go ahead to do ANY exercise because of my foot. I go in on Friday for physical therapy. I'm hoping they'll tell me I can do light walking or something on the treadmill.

Jen, you're making me tired too. Honey, just move more than you used too. Seriously, it's that simple. Start with somethng easy like Kimberly's walks and who knows what'll happen!

Did the word yogalates makes anyone else wanted a frothy milk drink?

I KWYM! My favorite food sadly is tortilla chips with salsa. I have eaten it occasionally now and will again. Same with sourdough bread. I haven't eaten bread in weeks now, but "in the real world" I know I will again. Occasionally. Maybe my taste buds will totally retrain.

Someone just gave us a gift card to Red Robin. Why not Macy's??? Anyways, I looked on their menu and they have some somewhat healthy options - although they don't list calories and %'s.

Jen - just start doing what you can - 10-15 minutes here and there - and dont' have so many goals regarding exercise until you get into a groove with it. Once you start doing it regularly, believe me, it is addictive. Then set some specific exercise goals. And you magically have time for it. In the beginning I think it is more "just do it" vs. "I feel like doing it"! GL!!

So much for my feelings of not losing weight this week. Down 3 more pounds. It was a month yesterday.

Yogalates = yogurt lattes in my mind. Can you tell I miss my lattes??
