The details will kill a newbie quicker than a wink! As long as you have a true calorie deficit everyday ... you'll lose weight. The details are for the tweaking as you go along.

So I am trying to have 40/30/30 days and have only achieved it "perfectly" 1 day. I end up with more like 50carb/30fat/20protein. It's really harder than I thought!!! Gotta work on getting more low fat protein into each day.

Anyways, 1,700 calorie deficit today. I've decided to switch up to a minimum 1,000 calorie/day deficit. Just upping the exercise.

-1086 I should probably eat 200 more calories, but I don't feel like it today... Maybe I will save them for tomorrow?

I had a 424 calorie deficit yesterday, would have been more but I ate the rest of the chocolate in my fridge. Oh well!

Yesterday's deficit was 765.

I bought FitdayPC last night. I had been hesitant because the only reason I wanted it was for the recipe calculation ability. DH said, "I think you should get it"...as he shuffles his feet..."I might want to use it too." Men are so funny!

Well, I weighed myself this morning and I was finally back at what I was last Saturday - 199.5.

So maybe now it'll start going down. I've been so good - deficit yesterday was 1476 as I did my exercise video. I'm hoping it's just water retention.

I have another goal ticker all ready as soon as I hit 199 and I can't wait to put it on.

I must say being here has made such a difference to my determination. Last April I got down to about this weight and hit the same plateau and ended up throwing in the towel. But I'm determined not to do that this time. I am going to break through this barrier!!

I didn't track yesterday's intake... but I think it all evened out. I had my normal breakfast but then met a friend and my mom for lunch at PIZZA HUT. I didn't eat anything until supper. I met my DH for supper and had a bowl of soup and a dinner salad. The only thing I hate about working in the office (only twice a month) is that I don't have MY kitchen and food around - unless I pack a lunch. Since I only see "the girls" twice a month, we usually go out to eat. I try to suggest restaurants that have good food choices, but I couldn't pass up Pizza Hut. (I DID pass on the butter garlic sauce and a plate full of breadsticks.)

Today is a new day! (And it is off to a great start!!) Oh, my foot doctor has me wearing that dang boot for another week or so AND I have to start physical therapy on my foot. She thinks three times a week, but I am thinking maybe once week. It's a 30 mile one-way drive. If I lived in the same town as the clinic then I'd definitely go the three times. Well, we'll see. It IS my foot and I DO need it to be pain-free.

I just have to say that I have lost 2.3 pounds since this morning and it's not even dinnertime yet. I bought a new scale today because it does the .2 pound increments. I was all ready for it to say you weight 12 pounds more!
