This is a great thread.
Tonight I had:
3 oz chicken (slow cooked in chicken broth)
3/4 cup brown rice with one tablespoon of almond slivers tossed in
a salad with a little red pepper, celery, two tablespoons of corn with beans, one tablespoon of pumpkin seeds, and one tablespoon of lite dressing.

Going out for drinks with a friend and having a burger and a couple of beers. Its pushing me above my limit for the day, but I'm doing triatholon training this weekend and need the extra calories (and carbs.) Going to try to avoid fries, but not stress if I eat them. I'll come in around 2000 for the day I think.

EDIT: Changed my mind. I'm having a bagel with almond butter before I go. Not a huge calorie savings, but less of a temptation to eat fries, and a happier wallet!

Seagirl-enjoy your night! Good luck with the triathalon training.

Last night I had a spinach salad with 4 oz grilled shrimp, 1 oz goat cheese, a tablespoon each of dried cranberries and sunflower seeds and 2 tbs. fat free honey mustard dressing. oh, and some really delicious grilled peppers and asparagus. My husband loves to grill so I am lucky to have delicious and healthy grilled chicken, shrimp and veggies often!

Tonight was sushi--I usually love fish but opted for veggie rolls instead-1 small cucumber roll, an avocado roll and an asparagus roll. Figured about 150 per roll as they were small pieces.

Late lunch/Dinner tonight: crab cake burger, french fries and a beer.

really glad I skipped the burger last night because after today's 1/3 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride and 1 mile run I needed it!

Still within my calories for the day!

Great going!

I've been finding having two courses in the evening is making me eat better & slower, and is more satisfying. Tonight:

First course: Buffalo mozzarella, tomato & roast pepper salad with a sprinkle of balsamic vinegar (350 cals)
Second course: Grilled salmon fillet & green beans, cauliflower & potatoes sauteed in garlic (450)

lettuce wrap w/ a turkey burger, tomatoes, and a sprinkle of cheese. Probably another veggie with it, too.

4 oz of lean turkey, taco seasoning, lettuce, salsa, carrots, 2 tablespoon of corn - pretty much a taco salad without the shell.

Just had cheese and crackers. I've got 400-600 calories left to play with. Maybe angel hair pasta with some bbq pulled beef, which is what I had for lunch. But it was so good!

I had a craving so I sort gave in.... wendy's single hamburger no cheese or mayo and took the top bun off...and half a baked potato with butter total calories 500 (weird that it hit such a round number but that is based on fitness pal calculations!)

Brings my total for the day to 1180. My goal is 1200 for the day but I have already earned an additional 400 with exercise. I generally like a snack around 100 calories so I will probably go ahead and do that later....and if I still have the energy I might get another small workout in!

I ended up making a sort of pasta primavera: angel hair, broccoli, chopped roasted red peppers, chopped up bacon and a little half and half.

Tonight was date night with Mr. Husband Man so we went to Buffalo Wild Wings. I don't even want to think about how many calories I ate...well over 1000 probably. We only do this once a month though, so it was worth it! I enjoyed my meal and am trying not to let myself get stressed about it.

Tomorrow I'm making American Chop Suey, but I'll be using veggie crumbles instead of ground beef. We'll probably have a nice salad on the side...total that will probably run me 350 calories or so. Much better than what I ate today!

Hi everyone! I'm new here and I hope you don't mind me jumping in.

Tonight I made pan seared tilapia fillets with a zucchini and red pepper saute. So yummy, super low cal, and filling! Later tonight I'll have a fresh kiwifruit for dessert, yum!
