just a little mental note to myself, and a request that you lovelies keep your fingers crossed for me. also, this means that i will be accountable for the execution of this plan tomorrow morning.

i will be venturing out into the world of "fine dining" tonight, with a girlfriend that i used to party with a lot. she's younger, still parties, and i haven't seen her in forever, as she was mostly a "party acquaintance" who would only want to hang out while drinking. we're going for 1 drink, and apps (more like dinner), and by the sounds of the texts, i think she has finally come to terms with my situation. i am VERY excited - we are going to Moxie's (im not sure if that's around in the US, but it's like applebees) no posted nutritional info, no "calorie wise" menu. BUT they do make a fantastic tuna tartare (i love anything tartare'd) my deductions conclude it's 128 cals a serving. given that stuff is added to it, and it comes with crackers, i will count it as 3 servings, and be done for the evening. FINGERS CROSSED!!

results edit: it worked. but i gained a little tiny bit of water weight. hmmmm. SALTY.

I know I am late and new to the site, but would still like to join the challenge. I hope to be down 5 lbs by St Patty's day. It is also the day after my 36th birthday.

Hi everyone. We're counting down to St. Patty's Day.

I had a less than stellar week last week with TOM and snacking but I am looking forward to making the most of the rest of this challenge. I have managed to keep my physical activity on track. I am still holding onto bloat but I look for it to pass soon so there's still a chance for me to make goal. I'll settle for any loss and my tummy and hips have lost some inches even though my weight has been wonky...

I hope everyone has a great week and I look forward to reading all of your posts!

Stimkov's- It's funny 'cus to me yoga workouts are pretty crazy workouts! Especially hearing about your 30 day challenges LOL. It does feel so awesome though to feel sore! As for the bread and butter, you describe it perfectly! I was and still am definitely drooling! LOL. I hope dinner went well for you!
As far as upping my calories I basically looked at the calories in vs. out and I just try to keep it right around 800-1000 cal. deficit. Some days I eat a little more and other days I eat a little less. I've been losing about 2lbs a month, which is slow compared to a lot, but honestly I'm enjoying the journey, the exercise and the food!

On Friday my NSV was jogging outside with my 5 fingers. I ran 4 miles at an average pace of 5.8mph! I was quite thrilled and my calves were still sore today! HA! Today I did my usual run, although my one ankle bothered me so I ran 3.5miles and walked 1.5.

hope ya'll have a great night!

Congrats challengers! I had a really busy week last week but have been reading back through the updates and you guys are rockin!

I am weighing in at 198.6 today and my measurements are a tad smaller. I have been wearing my fitbit and I think it has me eating a tad too much. I wouldn't normally add back in calories to my allotment for exercise but it has me adding some back and my progress is down to a slow crawl. I definitely haven't felt hungry on their prescribed ~2000 cals a day but I am looking for more weight loss so I will chill out on the eating back calories. The fitbit is motivating b/c you get a real gauge of what you achieve in a day and where you can fit in more activity. I like it, I just don't trust it's calorie allotment for my own personal weight loss. It is a cool gadget though...

Counting on down....Woohoo!

I’ve been pretty much staying OP and exercising and saw another 0.5 lb loss this morning My cough is about 90% better, but for some reason my tummy was not happy with me today. Ended up cutting my workout short because it was bugging me so much I really hope it’s just something I ate – I do not want to get another cold when I’m almost through with this cough. I ended up going slightly over my calories today. Oops. I’ll do better tomorrow

jmfan- keep on rockin your plan!

Chele614- there's still time. Welcome!

tdiprincess- I know it's thrilling to make fitness milestones, enjoy it!

Sparklebe and too big- Congrats on the losses!

I am still just shy of my ticker and readjusted my cals to my regular levels instead of the adjusted levels the fitbit was giving me. So hopefully, I will be successful in getting the 3.6 lb loss for my goal in the next almost 2 weeks.

One month challenges are kinda tough for me b/c I bloat mid-cycle and TOM so I have to be very patient and that's not my strong suit. My bod is totally motivating me right now. I am seeing lots of definition in my legs and my waist.

Thanks 4Star. I weighed in this morning and I am still 186. I am at the end of TOM. I am eating around 1200 calories a day and working out every day. No sugar, soda, refined flour. I don't know what else I can do to lose. I need to stop weighing myself every day.
I hope everyone is having a great week.

Yes, I try to never take my TOM weight seriously. I bloat way too much and work way to hard to let those numbers get to me. You won't know until about 3 days after it's over what your "real" weight is so don't sweat it today. I've gained 8 lbs of water weight before and lost it the next week...bodies are weird sometimes. Just keep on keeping on. You'll get where you're going.

ok so I adjusted my calories back down to my 1400-1700 range. The fitbit gives me a range of 1900-2100 but the weight is coming off too slowly for my taste. I just don't think I am meant to eat back calories burned from exercise at this point. When I look towards maintenance, I will check back with their recommendation. I do like the gadget though. It's nice to see your activity charted for you.

Anywho, the scale finally budged and I weighed in at 197.2! :good scale: I just might make my challenge goal yet...
