What did you resist today?

Doesn't it feel good when you say NO! For me, the more I say "No".. the easier and easier it becomes.

Tonight, Hubby meaning well brought me home a pumpkin latte from one of those quickie mart cappuccino machines. I thought it was SO sweet he did that but I quickly told him there is probably 500 calories or more in it! He had no idea. Wasn't tempted at all even though pumpkin coffee is my favorite!

And, when he asked for my order for subway, I just told him 6" turkey but no mayo. (I usually ask for like a bucket of mayo on my sandwich). And when he brought it home I added just a tiny teaspoon of mustard :carrot:

Feels so good to do the right thing!

I resisted ice cream. I resist that every day.

We have Subway a lot too. I used to get the 12 inch roast beef sub with no cheese and just mustard but I think next time I will just get the 6 inch one.

Any ideas on the calories in one of thier cookies?

I haven't had to resist anything yet, but today's my little brother's birthday and we (well, they) are having delicious delicious apple pie, cinnamon rolls, other pastries, and the worst chocolate cake in the world (the entire 9-inch diameter, 2 inch thick cake yields 4200 calories and about 10 servings. crazy wrong.) and I really will not eat any of that at all :)

Because it's Friday, someone at the office will bring in either McDonald's or a breakfast pizza for everyone. I'm going to pass, simply because I know that if I give in I'll feel like I failed and the rest of the day will be downhill. So, my yogurt and my lunch are packed and ready to go. TGIF!

Everyone needs to keep posting, because you are all inspiring me to say no!! It was my boyfriend's birthday last weekend, and I feel like I have been eating like absolute sh** since then. I need to resist!

Yesterday I resisted eating the entire sleeve of saltine crackers as a snack. I counted out my crackers. Yay! (seriously, that's a big deal for me)

The ginormous jar of Halloween candy that my kids have in the kitchen.

Sausage egg and cheese on a bagel. I was so close to getting that for breakfast.

I had a Kashi protein and fiber bar and two hard-boiled eggs instead. Yehaw!

Bahlsen Hit Cappuccino Cream Minis Cookies. There's a whole pack of them in the cookie tin. It's 5 mini cookies for 170 calories. I've resisted them all day but if I have calories to spare after dinner and I still want some, I might have a couple with a cup of tea.

Today the kids celebrated halloween at school. There were treats everywhere, and I resisted snacking on them.

FunSize, I meant to tell you earlier...I LOVE pumpkin spice lattes, so it's been hard for me to totally turn them down this fall. I get the one at Starbucks with nonfat milk and no whip, and while it is still calorie packed, it is significantly less than normal. Tall is 200 and Grande is 267. Like I said, not great, but not horrible. It's nice when you have additional calories left in your plan, and you can give yourself a little treat. :) Just a little sidenote. :D

I resisted - and am continuing to resist - the 8 dozen chocolate chip cookies that I baked. Well, 8 dozen less the 2 cookies I did eat. They're supposed to be going to good homes tomorrow, but it looks like we're going to have a snow storm so I may have to padlock them away somewhere.

For weeks been resisting the bags and bags of candies husband bought for halloween "for the kids" that were "on sale" - cuz you know, 100s of kids are coming (last year about 25 if that many) and ya have to buy early and on sale because now they cost like $50 a sack in his mind.

I went so far as to ask the man to put store them in his car until the 31st, but that isn't convenient. Its convenient for me....lol

I have not had one piece, despite forbidding Mounds, Almond Joy, KitKat and Twix--and KitKat made its way in. Darling daughter and hub have already eaten a full bag of KitKat, but at least they're gone now. He did go replace those with Reeses PB cups.

Last year after halloween, I pretty much singlehandledly ate a bag of leftovers in about 2 weeks. Each one made me sicker than the last!

Where I am getting the self control to resist the candy, I don't know.

After a gain of .6 this week, I'm in a tailspin, but still resisting candies.

I resisted candy corn (my ULTIMATE holiday/fall candy weakness) that my mom brought home today. I used to grab a handful and a glass of milk and sit in front of the tv and keep grabbing handfuls. But nowwww I've decided that when I do eat it im going to count out the 15 pieces and log it in my calorie counter for the day. :)

SweetPeach3388 10-29-2011 01:06 AM

After a long 15 hour day of school and work all I wanted to do was stop and get either a delicious barbecue roast beef sandwich or a cheesy garlic bread, either of which probably would have doubled my calories for the day. But I did resist and ate a small portion of leftovers when I got home. It still isn't good I ate late at night, but at least I didn't splurge.
