LOLOL! Today, I resisted the urge to sit on my oversize rump and do nothing ;-) I got up and did 2 miles of the WATP video and I'm glad I did it...now.

In my college dining hall today, for lunch they had build your own BBQ pulled pork, Buffalo pulled pork and Mexican fajita style pulled pork on a bun or in a wrap. :O I was SOO tempted to eat one. Or two or five. But I didn't.
I had turkey on oat nut with jalapenos, tomato and lettuce and a small side of this Southern pecan rice salad.
They also had buffalo chicken pizza! Now that was just cruel. :P

CHOCOLATE candy. OMG. UGH. WHY? Darling daughter brought home tons of chocolates from work for Valentine's day. It wasn't bad enough having it around the entire month of October....and I managed to leave it alone, ignore it, pass it by, put it out of reach, out of mind. Then over Xmas, I received a large box of Godivas (which my husband and daughter ate after I placed them in the closet to not have to view them) and also a box of Trader Joe's cordial chocolate covered cherries, which yet sit on my front porch waiting for my daughter to take them somewhere away from here (they have real liquor in them and I also don't drink).

Valentine's day, you will NOT get me to eat candy. I can't say I'm proud of myself tho because I did have cheese and crackers, and that is probably worse calorie wise than if I just had 1 lousy piece of chocolate!

Baked two loaves of bread today and have only had one measured & counted slice. I think I must really be testing myself lately with all the baking and okaying pizza for supper.

Marmar09 - Bread pudding! Well done!

For the fried chicken, are you avoiding altogether or trying alternatives? There are some good "fried" chicken recipes that are oven fried instead, including one that covers the skinless chicken with cold greek yogurt then rolls in corn flake crumbs, and another similar using lowfat buttermilk to coat, then corn flake crumbs. As to the mac & cheese, that is one of the things I tend to crave and I've been making the H O M E S T Y L E blue pack by Kraft which gets baked in the oven and topped with crumbs, and I substitute skim milk, leave out the butter (just mix the milk and "season" packet which really is flour as a thickener) and to the cooked macaroni while I'm mixing in the cheese packet, I add 2 cups of cooked broken up cauliflower and I have to say its fantastic. It probably doesn't hurt that I have a family to share the mac&cheese with so as to stop me from eating too much, but definitely its something to think about if you want it. Its less calories and healthier and I promise you it is very delicious. Also, if you make homemade egg salad you can make it a bit healthier.

I don't mean to single you out but these things you're avoiding, I eat...lol....just make them a little healthier, so I thought maybe I could let you in on my little secrets

I resisted, yes resisted, cheese and crackers. Again. Ridiculous. Should just throw the few remaining cheese pieces in the trash!!!!!! The candy is still here too, but that isn't singing to me. Ha.

lol thanks 124, for the suggestions!
And it's a college cafeteria so I can't really cook outside of it. But it's very good to know I have healthy options! I think I will try to make my own egg salad tmrw, as they usually have hard boiled eggs everyday.
BTW, that mac&cheese sounds amazing! I have to try it when I go home.

I'm still resisting the rolls as my kids munch on them in front of me. Good thing it's their bedtime in a minute!

Yesterday, I went for sushi with a friend who was driving through town. The joint's a Kaiten-Sushi place, so it has the conveyors going past. On it are all kinds of delicious foods, and a bunch of super-sweet desserts. The rolls that have cream cheese in them are especially delicious.

I limited myself to half a cucumber roll, two pieces of snow crab nigiri, a bowl of miso soup, some smoked squid salad, and three chocolate covered marshmallows. This meant that I passed by the Philadelphia Roll (cream cheese, avocado, salmon), the winter roll (crab salad, black pepper, and green onion), the dream roll (cream cheese, shrimp tempura, cucumber, imitation crab), the fried Godzilla roll (imitation crab, salmon, cream cheese), the tuna roll, the oreo bar, the mizu manju, the strawberries and cream, and the lemon cake.

It's a good thing I'm on plan, or else I'd be broke.
