Hi Ladies!

Longtime CC challenger here, but I think I'm going to sit this one out. I was so bad about checking in for the last half or so of the Memorial Day challenge, and with my last day of work for the school year this Friday (yay!), I will be offline a lot between now and July 4th.

Though I didn't quite get to my 100 lbs lost goal as soon as I had hoped, I think I'm still going to take a "maintenance" break for a month or two now and just enjoy my summer. My "bottom line" goal is to NOT GAIN, but if I end up losing a lb or two by August, then all the better :)

I may pop in to say hi every once in a while and I will definitely be joining you guys again in the fall to lose this last 40 or so lbs!

Have a great challenge and good luck to all!!

Thanks for setting up another challenge Lori!

I'm in. I am hoping to be "normal" weight 178 or less by July 4th.:)

Current: 182.6

I'm ready for a challenge I gotta get back on track went MIA for the last challenge. Unforunately startin @ 161 lbs as of yesterday I should prob change my ticker. I wanna be down to 155 lbs by July 4th. I already have my wrkouts set. Startin thurs I will be wrkin out 30 days straight w/ 6 wk 6 pack and ripped in 30 combined. Hoping to see sum good results. Good luck to everybody else w/ this challenge.

fruitlady 05-31-2011 09:00 PM

Thanks Lori!!

I'm back again, but this time instead of focusing on maintaining, I better focus on losing weight. This weekend caused major weight gain, I have 10lbs to lose. I think at this point I'll be happy if I lose just 8lbs. and maintain at that. I want so bad to be close to the weight I was Aug. of 2009 (108lbs.) This August will be my 2yr anniversary of keeping the weight off, it's so important to me to make it to this goal. Anywhere between 108-110 is what I would consider a successful 2yrs of maintenance.
Goals- continue walking or jogging every single day
Keep calories at 1100-1200, I know I have trouble with this.
Stop overeating, especially junk food
Allow myself a 1 or 2 sweets a week so I don't feel deprived, I tend
restrict them, then end up eating too much.
Eat as clean as possible so the weight comes off easily.
Learn some control!

My first challenge too!

1. Lose 8 pounds (179 today so will put me at 171)
2. Exercise 3-5 days a week
3. Drink my water!

love2b150 05-31-2011 11:08 PM

Hi Lori, jiggle, NorthernExposure, fruitlady, Corinne and envelope this was my first challenge last year when I joined 3FC. I remember doing pretty well, but I erased all of those stats.

So I'm in! My goal is to get out of the 170's, stop ALL of my crazy snacking and find something to do when I find myself in the kitchen when I shouldn't be. Get my exercise in check, there hasn't been much.

Today's weigh in 178.8. I didn't do too well today so not sure what the scale will say in the morning.

onagain1 05-31-2011 11:42 PM

Count me in! My goals are: lose 10 more lbs. and to make an effort to drink more water. I've never had a problem drinking enough water, but lately I just can't seem to get in the amount I need.

Ekicna 06-01-2011 01:05 AM

I walked over 3 miles today and burned over 200 calories pushing a double jogging stroller up and down hill. I treated myself to fast food and was still under my calorie limit before the exercise calories.

My weight has been pretty low all day, I'm hoping to see 113.-- (something) tomorrow morning.

jigglefree 06-01-2011 09:18 AM

I had a good day yesterday. I ended my day at 1200 calories and didn't really workout because I was exhausted after work.

Emme 06-01-2011 10:14 AM

'Morning, all! I hope you all have a great day. Happy Hump Day! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-dance005.gif

Hi ladies! Welcome to the newcomers to the challenge. Happy to have you.

Okay, so the last challenge my goal was simply to track my calories. And, I am happy to report that I did a really, really good job with it. In fact, there were a couple days I KNEW I ROYALLY screwed up with my calories. However, sitting down and tracking them all made for a HUGE learning experience. For example, I learned that three breadsticks at Olive Garden were 450 calories. Holy cow! I knew they were bad for me, but not that bad! It really opened my eyes. I think I realized that breads at restaurants really must be a no no for me. Even later in life when I'm in maintenance I'm going to avoid the free bread. There's just nothing to glean from it.

Anyhoo, on to my new goal. This time I am setting a weight goal. I struggled hard with staying on task and eating clean during the last challenge. This time I'm going to make a weight goal so I really have something to strive for. I'm floundering around between 146.5 - 150. So, I'm going to make a July 4th goal of 140. I want to be 135 by my birthday - July 22nd - and in order to do that, I really should be at 140 by July 4th. It's an ambitious goal, so wish me luck.

I also have the goal of completing 60 days of P90X, but I'm assuming that one will happen for sure. :) I've got a thread going regarding my P90X here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/fitn...2311-p90x.html and it's really helping to keep me accountable!

Good luck, ladies! I'm so happy to see all of the familiar faces on board.

Emme 06-01-2011 10:35 AM

Amberelise ~ I just did a quick read of your P90x blog, and I have to give you major props for doing P90x!! It sounds like an extremely intense workout, and I would have probably stopped after day 2. Good for you!!

CorinneIrene 06-01-2011 11:56 AM

Hey ladies! I started off today pretty well, and am going to the movies tonight and plan on eating at the food court. Will be having a salad from Soupman and a smoothie! Thankfully, in Albany county it is mandatory for all fast food places to have the calories listed right on the menu, so I know I'm covered. Yay for an on plan treat!

It's blistering hot here and humid. When I did my workout this morning I was dying. I've been drinking tons of water. So far, first days of the challenge are going well! Let's get this started on the right foot!
