Hello again! I was in on the Memorial Day challenge and it was so helpful, so i am thrilled to be joining the 4th of July challenge as well! This is also going to be perfect timing to go along with my personal "Country Fest Goal" i have set for myself. Its a music festival im going to on July 9th. This will also put me half way from now till my 100 day challenge goal weight so that's kind of how i set my goal. My goal for country fest is 191.2 lbs. So i'm shooting for 193.5! This will be my first time in ONEDERLAND since i was in like high school too!!
I did set this goal based off of hitting my memorial day goal, which i was 5 lbs shy of hitting so its a pretty tough goal to hit. But, i've said before, i like to set high standards. So, if im not quite there thats still okay with me because i'll know i still did really well! As long as i hit onederland by the end of this challenge i'll be happy! So my goal is to lose 16.3 lbs by the 4th of July (ouch!) bringing me from 209.8lbs to 193.5!! Its going to be tough to do but ill do my best and thats what matters!!! I haven't posted any starting weight pics yet other than my profile picture, but i took a picture this weekend after my weigh in for my first month and it was awesome so here's the pics to show my progress so far. Not sure of the exact weight of the before pic but its at least 215 if not more. The pic on the left is me at my sister's baby shower in november of last year. And on the right is me this past saturday after losing my first7.7 lbs for the Memorial Day Challenge! http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/...efore1-1-1.jpghttp://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/...llenge-1-1.jpg I was kind of shocked to see such a difference already after just a month! But i'll take it! Good luck to everyone! |
My goal will be to lose 20-25 lbs. I am going to a show at northern lights and I'm going to be seeing someone I havent seen in 4 years so I'd like to look good! Also I want to shoot for 6 days a week at the gym (if my work schedule allows me) I normally go 5 days a week and just brisk walking on the weekends. Calorie counting is whats working for me!! So thats what I'm sticking to.
I have a pretty good plan so I'm hoping I can achieve this!! I lost 8 lbs this week so I am super stoked! |
I'm PUMPED. :) I'm so glad to be starting another challenge! Fourth of July is a great mile marker in my opinion. It will be summertime by then, & who wouldn't want to be slimmer! :dizzy:
The goals I am setting for myself as follows! *Get a JOB! *EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE;; I need more! I will do better about exercising & getting even more active during the day. I will take advantage of this heat. Get out & Sweat. *No Fast Food. This is gonna be a tough one, since I am in the habit of ordering out when I don't feel like cooking. I am gonna set a fast food quota for myself; no more than 3 times! *Better tracking of my food, even the most tedious ingredient. *Plan Meals ahead of time. Should help out with the tracking, & cut down on eating out & fast food! *a 7 to 8lb loss for June. Good luck on this new endeavor chicas... |
My goals:
1. Lose 4.4 lbs 2. Maintain at 110.0 and gain no more than 5lbs. 3. Exercise at least 3x a week. 4. Find a job (my kids are starting school, no more SAHM for me) SW: 114.4 (Surpassed my original Memorial Day goal of 114.6) GW: 110.0 |
Hi! THis is my first challenge.
My goals for weight loss are to lose 15lbs by the 4th. I am up to around 224.8 as of today. That would have me down to 209, which is amazing!!! :) I will do toning workouts every other day. Try to drink 4 liters of water a day. |
I am in for this challenge, i'm gonna give my best shot.
As of today i am 215.6lbs and i am aiming for 200lbs. I have to do it, and i will do it. Good luck to everyone else as well :) |
I'm in again.
My goal is to count my calories EVERYDAY!! Stay within 1300 calories. Keep my body moving!! |
You know I'm in!
My goal is to lose 5 pounds to make it to my goal weight. I'm vacationing next week (yikes!) so I'll have a special goal to not gain any weight for then! And finally, continue exercising regularly, 3-5 times weekly. |
I would love to join this challenge! My goal for July 4th is to lose 5 pounds. I need to start exercising more and building more muscle strength. My WI this morning was 174.2, so losing 5 pounds would put me at 169.2. Even if I could see 169.9 by July 4th, I'll take it! I need to stay focused. Good luck to everyone! :)
|
I'm in! I was able to lose 8 lbs the last challenge so I'm going to shoot for 10 this one. I know it's alot but I'm going to increase my exercise and maybe even do Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet. so here we go:
1. Lose 10 lbs 2. Exercise at least 3 days a week 3. Continue to take my alli everyday 4. Keeping within 1200-1400 calories and no more than 12 grams of fat per meal 5. Try to keep to the 2 weeks of Phase 1 of the South Beach diet. There, we will go from here and see how I do :) Good luck ladies! |
Hi everyone! This is my first challenge. I'm hoping this motivates me to stay on track during all the upcoming social events I have planned.
Goal 1: Lose 7 lbs Goal 2: Exercise 5 times per week |
Hey everyone! I look forward to getting to know you all better over the next month. :)
I think my only goal right now is aiming for a 15 pound loss. It's a bit high, but I'm up for the challenge. I just have to remember to appreciate and acknowledge any loss, even if it isn't my goal. |
It is great to be back. I am READY for this challenge!
My July 4th goals Weigh 181 C25K W6D1 I just started up C25K again, and the last time I did it I was shocked at how quickly the weight started coming off me. |
This will be my first challenge also. I'm shooting for 15 lb loss. Continue walking 7 days a week. Add distance to the walking every week.!! Continue eating on plan between 1200 - 1400 calories.

Hi Ladies!
Longtime CC challenger here, but I think I'm going to sit this one out. I was so bad about checking in for the last half or so of the Memorial Day challenge, and with my last day of work for the school year this Friday (yay!), I will be offline a lot between now and July 4th. Though I didn't quite get to my 100 lbs lost goal as soon as I had hoped, I think I'm still going to take a "maintenance" break for a month or two now and just enjoy my summer. My "bottom line" goal is to NOT GAIN, but if I end up losing a lb or two by August, then all the better :) I may pop in to say hi every once in a while and I will definitely be joining you guys again in the fall to lose this last 40 or so lbs! Have a great challenge and good luck to all!! |
Thanks for setting up another challenge Lori!
I'm in. I am hoping to be "normal" weight 178 or less by July 4th.:) Current: 182.6 |
I'm ready for a challenge I gotta get back on track went MIA for the last challenge. Unforunately startin @ 161 lbs as of yesterday I should prob change my ticker. I wanna be down to 155 lbs by July 4th. I already have my wrkouts set. Startin thurs I will be wrkin out 30 days straight w/ 6 wk 6 pack and ripped in 30 combined. Hoping to see sum good results. Good luck to everybody else w/ this challenge.

Thanks Lori!!
I'm back again, but this time instead of focusing on maintaining, I better focus on losing weight. This weekend caused major weight gain, I have 10lbs to lose. I think at this point I'll be happy if I lose just 8lbs. and maintain at that. I want so bad to be close to the weight I was Aug. of 2009 (108lbs.) This August will be my 2yr anniversary of keeping the weight off, it's so important to me to make it to this goal. Anywhere between 108-110 is what I would consider a successful 2yrs of maintenance. Goals- continue walking or jogging every single day Keep calories at 1100-1200, I know I have trouble with this. Stop overeating, especially junk food Allow myself a 1 or 2 sweets a week so I don't feel deprived, I tend restrict them, then end up eating too much. Eat as clean as possible so the weight comes off easily. Learn some control! |

It would be nice to be able to wear them for my birthday [June 13th] .. Have a nice night, ladies, Ill update manana! :grouphug: |
My first challenge too!
1. Lose 8 pounds (179 today so will put me at 171) 2. Exercise 3-5 days a week 3. Drink my water! |
Hi Lori, jiggle, NorthernExposure, fruitlady, Corinne and envelope this was my first challenge last year when I joined 3FC. I remember doing pretty well, but I erased all of those stats.
So I'm in! My goal is to get out of the 170's, stop ALL of my crazy snacking and find something to do when I find myself in the kitchen when I shouldn't be. Get my exercise in check, there hasn't been much. Today's weigh in 178.8. I didn't do too well today so not sure what the scale will say in the morning. |
Count me in! My goals are: lose 10 more lbs. and to make an effort to drink more water. I've never had a problem drinking enough water, but lately I just can't seem to get in the amount I need.
|
I walked over 3 miles today and burned over 200 calories pushing a double jogging stroller up and down hill. I treated myself to fast food and was still under my calorie limit before the exercise calories.
My weight has been pretty low all day, I'm hoping to see 113.-- (something) tomorrow morning. |
I had a good day yesterday. I ended my day at 1200 calories and didn't really workout because I was exhausted after work.
|
'Morning, all! I hope you all have a great day. Happy Hump Day! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-dance005.gif

Hi ladies! Welcome to the newcomers to the challenge. Happy to have you.
Okay, so the last challenge my goal was simply to track my calories. And, I am happy to report that I did a really, really good job with it. In fact, there were a couple days I KNEW I ROYALLY screwed up with my calories. However, sitting down and tracking them all made for a HUGE learning experience. For example, I learned that three breadsticks at Olive Garden were 450 calories. Holy cow! I knew they were bad for me, but not that bad! It really opened my eyes. I think I realized that breads at restaurants really must be a no no for me. Even later in life when I'm in maintenance I'm going to avoid the free bread. There's just nothing to glean from it. Anyhoo, on to my new goal. This time I am setting a weight goal. I struggled hard with staying on task and eating clean during the last challenge. This time I'm going to make a weight goal so I really have something to strive for. I'm floundering around between 146.5 - 150. So, I'm going to make a July 4th goal of 140. I want to be 135 by my birthday - July 22nd - and in order to do that, I really should be at 140 by July 4th. It's an ambitious goal, so wish me luck. I also have the goal of completing 60 days of P90X, but I'm assuming that one will happen for sure. :) I've got a thread going regarding my P90X here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/fitn...2311-p90x.html and it's really helping to keep me accountable! Good luck, ladies! I'm so happy to see all of the familiar faces on board. |
Amberelise ~ I just did a quick read of your P90x blog, and I have to give you major props for doing P90x!! It sounds like an extremely intense workout, and I would have probably stopped after day 2. Good for you!!
|
Hey ladies! I started off today pretty well, and am going to the movies tonight and plan on eating at the food court. Will be having a salad from Soupman and a smoothie! Thankfully, in Albany county it is mandatory for all fast food places to have the calories listed right on the menu, so I know I'm covered. Yay for an on plan treat!
It's blistering hot here and humid. When I did my workout this morning I was dying. I've been drinking tons of water. So far, first days of the challenge are going well! Let's get this started on the right foot! |
I'm new around here so this is my first challenge too. My goals for July 4th are to get below 200 lbs. and to keep going with my daily cardio. Good luck to everyone!
|
Welcome to all of the new people!
1.0 lb loss today! :carrot: I'm down to 113.4. If I keep going like this, I could be in the 112s when my DH comes home! Lots of errands to run today, hopefully, I get a workout in somewhere. |

No work out yesterday but i stayed OP with food. for once in like forever. Today is off to a rocky start but thanks to my protein shake and LOTS of water, i think i can take control! No more snacks today whether im bored at work or not! im hoping once i start a new day job that gives me more to do that i wont be thinking about eating constantly.
|
Phat and love: Best of luck to you ladies! I will definitely not forget you while I take a little mental break from strict CC. I took a break last summer and lost a little, so I'm pretty confident I can do it again (or at least not gain.) I'm naturally more active in the summer, so it's easier for me to eat "intuitively" and not gain. Still going to weigh in weekly to make sure I'm not getting off track. I know that means I will get to my final goal a little later, but right now, that's a tradeoff I'm willing to make.
Anyhoo...best of luck to all of you! I will pop in here and there and I won't be gone long :) Thanks to everyone for all of your support so far along this journey. Couldn't have come this far without you!! |
love2b- Hi, nice to have you back!
It was in the 90's & humid today, still walked for 50min. I was drenched in sweat! Don't mind steamy weather at all, I love it. Calories are 1336, 136 over my limit, too much fruit. Gotta work on getting my calories down, having trouble with that. Been eating clean for 2 days, but the scale is going up. I think my age ( I'll be 43 in Aug.)is effecting my metabolism, which means I should be lowering my calories even more. I'm gonna try lowering them to 1000-1100 instead of 1100-1200. This will be difficult, getting old sucks! |
SOOOOO...the beast that is known as "college finals" that swallowed me up? Yea, it finally spit me back out LOL and I gained 3 freakin' pounds!!!! Well, anyway, back on the wagon, and July 4th goals are pretty much as follows:
-Lose 8 lbs -Count everything I put in my mouth -At least 100 oz of water a day -Continue at least some form of physical activity 5 times a week I really missed you ladies and I am super excited to get my head out of the books and into my weight loss goals!!! |
Yesterday was an ok day. I went over my 1300 calories by 30. Very frustrated, started my cycle yesterday so I feel swollen and tired today. I don't want to be at work and I'm thinking I may fall fast asleep at my desk. I will work hard to stay awake. Well that's all folks. Too tired and sleepy to do personals...Yea I know it's only 9am for me and I want to got to sleep right now.
|
Hi Lori Thanks for starting this Challenge! You are looking Awesome!
I'm having trouble staying on my food plan. Plus, I'm done working out with my personal trainer. I need to do more cardio. I'm hoping joining more challenges will help. SW: 227.8 CW: 230.8 ( + 3) I was out of town weighed in on 7/5. GW: 215 :beach: |
