Good morning, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I worked for 3 days straight on our back deck extension with my husband. It got to the point where we were both so exhausted yesterday that we kept making mistakes and had to call it a day around 3:00. It was so tiring. But, we got a great workout three days in a row outside!

I hope everyone has a great OP Monday!

Heyyy ladies!

I definitely think I put a bit on this weekend! What can I say, the strawberry shortcake I made was excellent. And the german potato salad...and the bean salad, and everything else haha. I'm not concerned though! I ate *normally* (for a bbq, anyway) and am back on track today, and hopefully can maintain!

I've been thinking lately that I'd really love to take up Zumba...I love to dance, especially latin style! I'm going to look into classes. I haven't done any cardio the past 3 days, but have used my resistance bands.

Emme- My favorite exercise is doing outdoor work! Productivity and exercise together are always great!

Jiggle- You'll get there!! Keep up the great progress! Let's keep dancing together!

Fruit- At least you had healthy choices! I didn't even really count calories this weekend- too afraid!!

Ekicna- Don't beat yourself up! .8 is nothing! High five for maintenance mode!

Ann- High five! You're doing wonderfully!

K15- YAY!

Glamgirl- Welcome!!

One week to go ladies! Let's do this!!!

Thanks!

I have no clue about maintenance. I guess I should check out that board now.

Emme- I know you got a great workout building a deck, you burned lots of calories! I built my back patio w/ pavers by myself last year. I ate so much those days and didn't gain any weight. that was nice!

jiggle- you will make your August goal, i know you will!

Corinne- I was scared to count them too, but I needed to know. thanks!

I gained 3.3lbs, water weight I hope. How easily you can blow all your efforts!
Walked 30min & had 1192 calories. Back on plan today!

Good morning !!!

I got my 30 minutes in on the treadmill this morning. Yesterday I stayed in my calorie limit but I had a pre TOM meltdown and ate a snicker bar. I was agitated with myself about it but didn't do any damage. Had a good breakfast so I should be fine today absent any disruptions/cravings.

Fruitlady - thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm going to be pushing really hard so keep cheering. You should do well with getting the water weight off since you know what to do.
Ekicna - Keep us posted and let us know how maintenance goes. We will be joining you shortly!!
Corinne - thanks for the encouragement. Take the Zumba, it's loads of fun. If you like dancing you will love Zumba because it won't feel like you're working out...until the next day.
Emme - Sometimes the workout around the house is more strenuous than the gym!! Are you gonna post pictures after it's done so we can see your handiwork? Hope so!!!

Looking to have another on plan day today. So lets get it done ladies!!!

Corinne ~ If you have an opportunity to do Zumba, try it!! It is so much fun and I love the classes. It's a great workout!!

fruitlady ~ I'm sure it's just water weight...it will melt right off!

jiggle ~ Pre-TOM is a beast...at least you didn't eat 10 Snickers or anything like that!! Yes, I'll post pics when we're done...it will probably be in the next week or two. I like working on the deck because I get to be outside and doing something, but now I'm getting tired of the demands of this project and I just want it done already! LOL!

Hope everyone has a super day!

I will!

DH and I hit the gym last night and he made me do lots of squats, leg presses, and ab work outs. I love the way my bum looks today though. TOM is coming up and I'm very afraid. I think I will down tons of water, stay on plan, and try to exercise every day to combat weight gain.

jiggle- thank you- 1 snickers every once in a while, won't hurt. your doing great!
emme- thank you!
Ekicna- Try to eat clean foods, it really helps with TOM weight. Ever since I started eating clean whole food almost 2 yrs ago, I never gain weight when I get TOM.

Walked for 40min. & had 1392 calories. Down a half pound this morning from being 1 day on plan. I'm really trying to lose this water weight, I shouldn't have went over my calorie limit, but I needed the fat grams so I ate 2 servings of unsalted dry roasted peanuts, that put me over. But I have to remember not to do that again, 1 serving at a time. Nuts are harder to digest, too many cause stomach issues. Boy did I suffer.

The fourth is coming soon, I love this holiday(fireworks)! So far no picnics for me, I'm glad. No worrying about eating too much, it's a relief.

fruitlady - I thought of you and your love of cakes this evening. I had 2 different cakes show up at my house this evening...1 from a neighbor who brought it over bc it was from my husbands fav. bakery, and 1 from a close family friend who is making cakes for my daughters' bday next month and wanted to show us how his sample turned out. I realized that if I took 1 bite of either, it would lead to me eating way more than I wanted to. So I stepped away from the cakes, I was so proud of myself.

envelope-Thanks, if two cakes showed up at my house, I couldn't walk away from them. you did a great job!
jiggle- My birthday is August 28th, when is yours?

walked 30min. but ate way too much( 4800 cal.). I was eating food that I normally don't touch & haven't had in over 2 yrs. That's scary, but I also realized I'm not missing much. I like whole foods so much better and that's what I'm meant to eat. I can't wait wait for tomorrow so I can eat my good food again. Here comes more weight gain!

Good Morning. I'm down another pound this morning!!!
I have a little over a month before my birthday so I think I will make it to ONEderland!!! Staying on plan and getting it done!!

Fruitlady - My birthday is August 6.
Envelope - BRAVO!!! That's pretty awesome to recognize the consequences before hand and to stand your ground!!!
Ekicna - Do you have a maintenance weight range or are you trying to stay at 110? I'm a long way from maintenance but I read the maintenance boards when I first started and noticed most of them have a "action weight". That way when TOM arrives you know you have that cushion and you won't need to panic.

Let's make today an awesome day for our health!!

Wow, I can't believe the 4th is here on Monday already!! It gives me that much more motivation to really stay on track this weekend. Luckily we don't have any picnics planned so we'll be avoiding all the delicious food that is brought to get-togethers. My goal for the 4th of July was 169. As of this morning I am 1.5 pounds away...not sure if I can manage that in four days, but I'm going to try my hardest!! Hope everyone is doing great!

Hello Everyone

Emme I'm so glad we don't have any cookouts to attend so I can hopefully stay on point with my eating also.

jiggle I'm confident you'll make it to goal by or before your birthday.

fruitlady and envelope I love birthday type cakes (mainly the white icing) and homemade pound cakes My Moms husband actually brought a cake here the other day, and I cut a 2x2 piece from the middle so not that much icing, boy did I want a corner slice So I couldn't resist either good for you envelope

Corinne I love Zumba it's a ton of fun and a great workout and since you love to dance boy you're a shoe-in, I'm pretty uncoordinated so some of the moves are a little hard for me but I still enjoy it. I'm the one you don't look at while dancing unless I'm doing my own thing

Ekicna Congrats on maintenance

... well my countdown begins ... I had a pretty rough month weigh wise and eating wise, but overall I wouldn't change a thing. Our oldest graduated from high school and joined the Army. Two of them passed their SOL's with perfect scores, one passed advance on his SOL's and the baby is going to second grade. So tons of celebrating.

I weighed in today at 176.2. My goal for this challenge was to get out of the 170's, stop ALL of my crazy snacking and find something to do when I find myself in the kitchen when I shouldn't be and to get my exercise in check. I have finally started exercising again, the snacking has been pretty good the last three days so that's a start ... don't know about getting out of the 170's by the 4th though. We'll see

Have a great day Everyone
