*Waves to all*
Hi everyone, long time no see! Don't know who here remembers me, been a while since I posted! Anyways, popping in to say good luck to everyone! Last challenge I participated in was Labor Day- and yes I did get to my goal weight by then! Everything got so busy I just kind of dropped off...hope everything is going well!! |
Hi Corinne! I do remember you. Thanks for stopping by :)
So I snuck a peek at the scale today because I wasn't sore this morning and wanted to see if I really was retaining water. Lo and behold, I saw 179.9 this morning! I am cautiously optimistic. I will call it 180 for now and hope I get a little deeper into the 170's on my official WI day Friday before I call it goal. Enjoy your Saturday, ladies! |
I have lost my 4 inches but not like it wanted to lose them. :dunno: I lost 1.5 in my waist, 1.25 in my stomach, .75 in my hips, .5 in my left arm and .25 in my right arm. I just finished my kettle bell workout and plan on a cardio workout this evening. Just depends on how my day of errands goes and I have to go see about my cousin that lost his wife earlier this month. If I don't get my carido in it's okay because I got something in this morning as I ususally will do some jumping or cardio movement between sets of Kettle bells. So for this last week I have to see if I can get that .25 off my right arm and .25 off my hips. So it calls for some running that I'm not too fond of but will do for the sake of results. :running::kickbutt:
Northern - Oh go ahead and call it goal!! :goodscale I would be so excited to see that number because it's close enough. Sometimes peaking is motivating. Corinne - :wave:I remember you. Hope to see you next challenge. :D Ekicna - Eating is the best part. Working out is the supplement. It's easier to eat 100 calories less than work it off so keep up the good work. I work full time, have a toddler and a husband that sometimes sounds the same as the toddler. I get to do my workouts at work on lunch or if I wake up very early before they are moving around. Not always easy. Ohmydogs - That's a lot of water. I thought I was doing something drinking 2-3 liters and it seemed like a lot to me. You are getting it in!!! Lori - You are rocking it. It's encouraging to see you getting to where you are and gives me hope. Fruitlady - Nevermind that you didn't make it to 109 you are still looking good girl!!! :carrot: Lets have a great week and celebrate our great results next Sunday!!:carrot::carrot: |
Thanks, Jiggle! I am going to keep working hard this week and hope to get to 179 even for my last WI of the challenge. My next goal is 174 (100 lbs lost!), so I want to get as close to that as possible before Easter weekend, when I do NOT anticipate being completely OP. Gives me a little wiggle room to hopefully make my 100 lbs lost goal by the end of next month, even if I gain a little over Easter. I want to start summer with a bang :)
Aren't those arms just SO stubborn?! I SO want to be able to wear a tank top in public this summer, but those bat wings will NOT go away. The tops of my arms/shoulders are actually starting to look good due to my lifting. If I could only just kind of "pin" that flabby part back, I'd be rockin' the tank tops, lol. I really wish we could make "deals" with our bodies. Mine would be this: "Ok, body, if we can lose the bat wings and the spare tire now, I'll let you keep the inner thighs and lower tummy 'pouch.' I'll trade you longer shorts in exchange for cute summer tops. We'll re-negotiate in the fall. Deal?" LOL. I'm starting to sound like a crazy woman! |
OhmyDogs Not insane at all, I promised myself when I settle down and get married, I will have an animal house...I love animals and want my kids to be raised around dogs, like I was
Eckina  you can do this...as my granny, "not always on your time, but right on time." jigglefree I would love to lose some inches off my gut...so yay you!!! How often do you measure? I need to get some kettlebells, they sound like they are working wonders for you! NorthernExposure You don't sound crazy, I would love my freakin body if we could come to an understanding...lose the pouch, gain a rounder butt...and I'll just deal with flabby arms for a while...I can live with that :dizzy: See? I'm crazy too! Magenta makes me happy....anyways, I'm still weighing in at 238.8, but I am still a little sore from traversing around half of the Mission (in San Francisco) yesterday in very inappropriate shoes, so yea...I ate waaaaaay better yesterday, but still not entirely OP and with the week I've been having, I'll take my 2-lb loss for the week because I've been very bad this week. Got lots to do today, but this week is the final stretch ladies, we can do it, let's kick in into over-drive!!! |
Jigglefree - yes it is a lot. It's been a big adjustment for me, as I was not a water drinker AT ALL (like none, EVER) before making this change. Now I average 3-4 litres a day. I drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning (some mornings just 1) and 1 can of Coke Zero at night, otherwise it's all water.
Fit4Lyfe - I was the opposite, the apartment we lived in when I was a kid didn't allow for pets (aside from caged pets), so I had a guinea pig and bird growing up, but no big pets. I have always been an animal rescuer at heart. We adopted 2 of our cats from the Humane Society, and I physically rescued the 3rd from the streets of our town. We get extremely cold winters (-40 some days), and this lovely little girl was outside, super thin, so I brought her home, and she's been a lovely addition. Only one of the cats likes the dogs (and when I say "likes" I mean "cuddles with, eats with, plays with, and thinks he IS a dog"), the other 2 stay far away from them LOL. I need a bigger house! I'd like one day, if we ever end up with an acreage, to have a Newfoundland Rescue! |

And thank you! I got to text him last night for a while as well. It has been so great since we hadn't talked in some time. With neither of us being at the jobs we used to be, we went from talking almost daily to incredibly sporadically. So any chance I get has been something I treasure. I think the hammie is about back to 100%. Still a bit tender when I go up stairs but otherwise pretty good. It felt a little too tender yesterday as well when trying to do lunges so I only did one leg. But that helped me figure out a better way to do them. I can go lower if I do one leg at a time, keep the dumbbell in one hand and brace the other hand on the window sill so I can go down lower and keep my balance. Rock hard thighs, look out! :lol3: Quote:

And if you could start working on that pill that we can give to our bodies to get them to start striking those deals, that would be great! :D Quote:
--- So I did my go out night last night. I feel like I did great. Before I even left the house, I was somewhat hungry and wanted something sweet. So I had a Skinny Cow bar. I changed what I usually drink out to be as low-cal as possible (vanilla vodka and diet). It wasn't great since I've moved away from pop and have never been much of a cola person, but they were still good. I really wanted diet lemon-lime pop and raspberry vodka but no diet lemon-lime. :( I wonder if the bars would let me bring in unopened cans of it? :p I also got a slice of pizza on my walk home. One slice, just cheese, though I did douse it with a good amount of Parm. But the key to the evening is that I allowed myself a little bit of freedom with no guilt. I try to look at getting the pizza as allowing myself one slice, every once in a while, is much better than ordering or making a frozen on and having the whole thing sitting there begging to get eaten! Should I probably have skipped it all together? Yes. But did it taste absolutely divine? You betcha! :D And best of all, as much as I wanted to come home and stuff my face, I didn't!!! :cb: That was a great accomplishment for me. Pounds seem to be melting away right now. I'm sure it's a post-TOM woosh but damn does it look good on that scale! Haven't planned my lunch and dinner yet (so having a problem making a decision about those today :)) so don't know where I'm at with calorie intake. Going to walk to the gym, possibly do a bit of weights (it's not my weight day but I'm thinking about putting a little time in), bike and am going to give the elliptical a go today. If I can't do the elliptical yet, I'll hop back on the bike. Big sports day for me...Sox need to get a W, Rockies looking to continue their winning ways with number 8 in a row and Da Bulls start their quest to become NBA Champions. Good luck to all my boys!!! :cb: |
YAY! NORTHERN thats awesome!! Congrats, now you'll start moving... something about those 180's they trapped me for a while.
If I could find a homemade general taos recipe and master it I would be in heaven...:) So yesterday I did 45 minutes on the wii zumba, and I was soaked at the end, gross huh? I also ran 2 miles in about 23 mins, that was a new recent record for me, I was excited then I did some abs, butt exercises. I had to work off that general taos...lol. Feeling so sleepy today like I could sleep all day, If the kids would let me..lol.. I thinks its the rain and the damp/cold humidity that goes right to your bones... I hope I find the energy to exercise today. I cannot believe that Easter is on its way..... |

Manders LOL no no I wasn't upset or anything, not at all! I was explaining why I hadn't had much water (because I am a neurotic water princess ) I am glad you 2 have been able to text a lot lately, and I am SOOO glad the hammie is doing so much better! Last night we had Burger King for supper. I figured out how many calories I had for supper, then had hubby grab me a veggie burger and a side salad! This is a HUGE deal for me because I have never liked veggie burgers. BK's wasn't bad though! While I know the sodium is still pretty high, my supper came in at about 450 calories. I could have afforded a small onion rings as well (calorie wise) but passed on them :D. Also, as posted in another post, I can't keep my panties up...lmao they keep falling down, it's great! |
Oh and Manders congrats on the 100 pound loss.....:)

Northern, you inspired me! Before I left for the gym, I looked up some dumbbell exercises for the triceps and found two that I did today at the gym. They were awesome and I've decided to incorporate them into my Mon - Wed - Sat gym routines. I'm going to banish those bat wings! :drill: Thanks lady! :)
Did hop on the elliptical though went light on time and intensity. Didn't feel too bad and it looks like I'll be back to full strength in no time! :cb: Hope everyone is having a great Saturday! I'm about to move my laptop to the back porch to soak up some :sunny: while listening to the Sox game. |
