Thanks ladies!!! The sodium did come off (a little) and I weighed in at 239.8 today, so just 2.9 lbs from goal for Sunday and I KNOW I can do it...I am off for my first of my twice daily workouts and my eating was kinda wack yesterday, but I'm slowly bringing myself back from binge city. And I think I'm figuring myself out; I am sabotaging myself, when i get to the 230's (and trust me, I've been here before) I start throwing sh!t down the drain and I start sabotaging myself and NO MORE!!! I haven't seen 237 in maybe a year and I am going to see it by Easter Sunday!!! Off to exercise!

When you work for yourself, your choice is to get it done or go broke! Though I'm going to need to invest in a glare reducing cover for my computer screen. Picking out finishes is not that easy when you can't tell what the color and pattern are! :D

LOL Still no spaghetti squash! My best friend's husband invited me to the ballgame tonight so I will yet again be pushing it out. Tonight is "Guy's Night Out" and I'm taking his best friend's seat. I asked him if there'd be a lot of single guys around us. :p With my luck though, they'd all assume I was with him and not single and looking! :D

Going to have a good night at the ballpark again though! I am planning to eat dinner before I leave. I also have planned to have two beers and have room for a third just in case. I think the two will probably be sufficient though. Now let's just hope the Rockies don't look completely crappy and the rain holds off! :cb:

Planning for 1490 calories taken in and 495 calories burned off today. That number might go down if it's raining when I head to the gym though. No desire to walk in the rain cause this is not how I look when it rains: :rain:

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!!

P H A T - My calories seem to be all over the place when I don't workout but yesterday it went well. I stayed right at 1300 calories and was all proud of myself.
Manders - Sounds to me like he was flirting. He figured that was a good "common ground" to talk to you on and if you would talk to him he may find some other ground to get on. :D
Fruitlady - You are so funny. If you stay on plan all week and loose you will have candy for Easter. If not you can still have candy just have one piece.;)
Northern - I'm so jealous you get Monday off too...a nice long weekend and I would be going to visit someone. I've been a little excited about this last week too. I'm wanting all my goals to be reached and I refuse to sneak a peek. But I think I should be good.:dizzy::dizzy::dizzy:
Ekicna - I had to throw my scale in the garage. It's analog but it makes me anxious and I have a tendency to eat better on the days it would say a loss but on the days there was a gain I would eat badly...psycho I know but it hindered my progress. :?::?::?: I measure now and it is so much more rewarding ;)
Mjluva - Good loss. Keep up the good work. :carrot:
Fit - Just a suggestion but if you drink like 3 liters of water for a couple days you should loose that sodium/water weight quickly without all the excess workout...unless you just want to do them. That usually works for me.
JD -:hug:Just don't quit!!! You will get in your groove!!

I did my kettle bell workout this morning and will be leaving for the gym in a couple minutes. I'm feeling like I'm about to have a GR8 week.

:carrot: I know you can do it! I love that you are so encouraging. I'm even though I formally dropped out of this challenge, I'm still checking for updates everyday.

Measuring makes me crazy because I haven't seen a loss yet on the measuring tape.

I got a loss this morning, I'm down 0.6lbs. :D If I keep this up I'll be 1.8lbs away from my Easter Challenge Goal on Easter.

jdonato 04-19-2011 12:15 PM

Wow thank you ladies for the support, Im almost in tears from it. Thank you it's what I needed :) Hugs to all of you

This morning I was at 144.6 so back down a little. I'm going to have to really look at what i'm eating, and the bf and I agreeded we've been eating out alot so we are cutting back. I really wanted to be 139 by easter, and I don't think that is going to happen. I"m still dealing with TOM so hopefully soon it will puff down a little more.

I was crabby and tired this morning, I woke up and the bf had coffee ready for me and when I went to get my coffee mug to go ready, he had put a note in there saying he loved and wishing me a good day. So between you guys and him this is really motivating me and helping :)

PHAT: Glad your feeling better and lighter, I hope to feel that way soon and thanks again for the encouragement

manders01: I know exactly what you mean, i get so intimidated when i lift weights cuz i'm only at 5lbs and I feel like they look at me like i'm wasting space there. And to what that guy said about you gaining weight from weight lifting...not so true. Yes muscle weights more than fat but us as women don't have enough testosterone to gain muscle like the guys do, so you will never be bodybuilding style and gaining weight like that. the most will be initial 5lbs maybe from water retention and after a period of time it will go down and be normal and the muscle will burn more calories and help you lose more weight. I hope this helps.

fruitlady: as always thanks for you help and support. Im glad you saw a loss and I know i was able to lose it before, just don't know if i can be that strick again initially. When I did that before, I lost the first 25 by counting calories, not working out, and the second 25 by counting, working out and I did the South Beach Diet 2 weeks phase 1 to lose the initial 10lbs to help me get going. Which was the only way i was able to lose the last 25lbs. Well im' back to my last 25lbs again, and I don't know if I can be that strick again for 2 weeks without slipping. any pointers? Oh and I'm trying to look up some stuff for you for peanutbutter...I got some things I found and made me think of you, so I will send you that info :)

Northern: keep up the good work and it's great your exercising and good luck on your vacation :)

Everyone else sorry I can't get to everyone, i'm at work and have to get back to it. I will check back in later. Oh and Memorial Day sounds good to me. Thanks again ladies for the support!

k15g15 04-19-2011 01:16 PM

jdonato-How sweet! He sounds like he is a great guy!

I don't weigh in until Friday. I reached my Easter Goal last week and did not realize it! I am so obsessed with getting to 178 so I am not overweight on my BMI but that is still at least a month or more down the road so I need to refocus. So I'm hoping for 2 pounds on Friday and go from there!

Keep it up ladies!

OhMyDogs 04-19-2011 01:18 PM

Uggg....last week we had some really yucky weather (sub freezing, super windy, snowing, etc) so I didn't walk for those 2 days...then proceeded to make some good excuses for the next 3 or 4 days as well. So today I dragged myself out and did my 3 mile walk. What sucks is, I WAS at a point where it wasn't a chore, it was just something I did every day. But since I've taken close to a week off, now it's a chore again, and I am having to force myself to do it....blah!

jigglefree 04-19-2011 04:04 PM

Got to the gym for lunch and I am stoked!!! I'm just so proud of myself...of course it's only Tuesday!!!

Have a great evening ladies. Gotta get some stuff done.

Ekicna 04-19-2011 04:43 PM

Great job jiggle!

fruitlady 04-19-2011 05:35 PM

manders- have fun tonight!
jiggle-yeh, isn't that stupid. I'm going strict all week to eat candy on Easter and gain it all back! One piece doesn't happen with me! lol
jdonato- thank you for the P.B info your looking up. Believe me it isn't easy going back into strict diet mode again after your used to maintaining for so long. I mentally beat myself up & call myself names to get myself going, then i feel like a piece of crap and that motivates me to improve and feel better about myself. Am I crazy or what?? It works for me though!
phat- Your funny, next time I step on that scale and see a gain, I am giving it the middle finger! lmao!

Today would have been a great calorie day if I wouldn't have been so nervous about this job interview. Including dinner, I went over my calorie limit by 500. It was all healthy food except for the 7 Hershey Kisses I ate before I left for the interview. My total was 1989! So much for seeing a good number on that scale tomorrow. Rode the bike for 20min this morning, didn't go for a walk cause it was raining and cold again. I'm still full from eating too much earlier but want P.B really bad! I am going to the market tonight, but I'm not buying it!

Fit4Lyfe 04-20-2011 12:27 AM

I am back in it to win it!!! I did both my workouts today and I was under my calorie goal for the day...Easter Goal I'm comin' for ya!!! LOL

Ekicna THANKS!!! I know I need that extra motivation and so I want to give it as much as I get it. And there is no "officially" dropping out girl, you're still trying, so as far as I'm concerned, you're still in it!

jdonato WTG on the loss!!!

jigglefree What do you mean "it's only Tuesday"? Everyday counts!!!

Ekicna 04-20-2011 12:31 AM

Thanks Fit!!

pochamma10 04-20-2011 03:46 AM

Hi ladies! Lots of activity on this thread to catch up on so I think I missed a few things!!! I'm doing well on plan as far as eating, I didn't work out the last two days because my stomach has been bad. ugh

I broke my resolution to only weigh in on "official" days, which are Thursdays for me. I am down 2.84 lbs from last week's official weigh in! This gets me only 3.7 lbs from my 5% loss! :D Let's see what tomorrow's official weigh in brings! Hopefully I am down another 0.16 lb for an even loss of 3 lbs this week!

Fit Sooooooo glad you got rid of the sodium! I am really trying to watch my intake as I can feel that stuff swelling me up! And I totally hear you on the food/drink issue - I am afraid of what will happen when I get back to the states and all of my friends want to constantly meet for HH!

Mjluva Congrats on the loss! 2 lbs per week? That's awesome!!

Ekicna Do you take measurements also? I find that sometimes these show a loss even when the scale is being a bad boy and refuses to budge!

Northern I use WATP the Ultimate Collection, 5 mile fat burning walk, and Walk it Off and Tone it Up,which got some dismal reviews on Amazon but is actually my favorite of the three because some miles you use the stretchie band and others you focus on some new moves -you just have to be willing to do the whole 5 miles because I find the miles individually are not much of a workout. I am thinking about getting the bootcamp when I get back to the States - what do you think?

PHAT Congrats on reaching your goal!!!

Manders WTG on not over indulging at the BP! I don't know if I would have had that same will power!! How did it go the second time around?

I am all in for a Memorial Day challenge! I even have goals established for around that time so I'm ready to go!

Ekicna 04-20-2011 06:07 AM

I don't normally measure but I did today and I lost half an inch. Although, I had not updated my diary so apparently, I am back where I started in December. I guess that's some progress though.

NorthernExposure 04-20-2011 08:48 AM

Pochamma: How long does the 5 mile one take? The 3-mile boot camp is pretty much just the regular walking for the 1st mile, and the second and third miles do a cycle..1 minute of "boosted walking" (kind of like jogging in place), 2 minutes of resistance training with the stretchy bands, and 2 minutes of walking. I think there are 5 cycles like that and then it's the cooldown/stretching. I also like the little 10 minute ab workout at the end. If you do the whole thing, I think it's about 50 minutes.

I had a pretty good day yesterday. 1575 calories and 30 minutes of my biggest loser sculpting DVD. I did levels 2 and 3 (10 minutes each, plus 5 minute warm up and 5 minute cooldown). Level 3 is HARD! I couldn't quite keep up with it, but I was sure sweating and panting, lol.

Tonight I think I might try a 45 minute wii zumba workout. I've done all the 20 minute ones, but then it jumps to 45. I wish there was a 30 minute one in there just to kind of "transition" into a longer workout. (I think there's a 30 minute "expert" workout, but I'm not quite there yet!) It's fun though, so I think it will be ok ;)

Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well! The finish line is just around the corner :)
