  • Ate 1566 calories, my range is 1250-1400, I went over cause of these huge breakfasts I've been having( i just enjoy it so much). It's a bad habit i can't break. I hardly have any calories left for the rest of the day and end up eating very small lunches & dinners. It's healthy food at least and I still lose weight. Lost 3 lbs this week, so now I have to stay on plan. Rode the bike for 20min , then had some running around to do. No walk, it was snowing this morning!
  • Fit- Sorry you lost your ring...but don't give up hope! A friend of mine lost her wedding ring and found it a year later in her lawn.

Megems-Ouch! I hope your honey is getting better.

    Tired- I LOVE wallyball.TOOO FUN!

Northern- You are amazing every week on here! I'm embaressed to admit how lazy I have been about exercise lately. But my staying in my 1500 calories a day totally speaks to how calorie counting is the answer to weight loss.

Last night I raked the lawn and set up my chicks in there new bigger home. They are sooo cute! I guess there not chicks any more, there more like teenagers in chicken years. Today will be bulb planting and getting ready for my son's first mx race of the year.

    Everyone have an awesome weekend!
  • I'm happy to say mojo = results!!!!! I just finished measuring and taadaa 2.25 inches total this week!!! So I'm about at goal!!! I was uber excited to pull out the tape today. So I will be doing my weight on Friday. Long as I stay focused I will be happy with that as well. My arms are usually very stubborn but was pleasantly surprised with those too.
K15g15 - Maybe after hanging out with you and Lori I may get in the yard before long. I'm really not into the whole outdoors playing in the dirt thing. But sounds like you are having a great time with it.
Fruitlady - You are doing it. At least you aren't eating heavy late in the evening. So by the time the day is over you have burned off those heavy breakfast calories.
Northern - What's going on with you...are you in snow too?
Lori - No good jokes from me either. Looks like things are getting better with your daughter's choices...for now!!!
P H A T - I'm sure you will see a loss and quite frankly when I weigh myself I do it first thing in the morning after my first pee stark naked.
Fit - Stop looking for the ring. I know it's going to drive you crazy but the more you look the less likely you are to find it. If there is something else you have lost and haven't seen in a long time look for that...the ring will turn up. I thought I lost my current set, I turned my house upside down and shook it but when I stopped looking for it sad and scared to say something to my husband. I then couldn't find a pair of earrings he gave me for Christmas that he noticed I hadn't worn in a minute I went on the hunt for those and found the wedding set. I don't wear a lot of jewelry so keeping up with it is not my forte. So now I have them both!!

Well ladies lets have a great day. I think with everyone getting good results this challenge it's contagious!! So lets keep spreading the good results!!!
  • Hi Ladies! I think I'm a bit late but, if it's okay, I'm all in!

    My goals are:
    1. Stay on plan each day and eat within my calorie range
    2. Exercise at least 4x per week
    3. Be out of the 250s

Jigglefree Wow! 2.25 inches lost in a week?! WTG!

Lori259 I played a little prank on my brother (not sure it's that funny but it made me laugh!). He's coming to visit me here in Africa and we're going to go on safari. I told him that the only trip available with our safari company was for newlyweds so we had to pretend to be married for 12 days and share a tent! The look on his face (via cam) was priceless! He's very squeamish about relationship issues so he kinda freaked out a bit! I didn't keep him in suspense long though - I just couldn't keep a straight face!
  • Morning ladies! Hope everyone had a great Friday! I had a blast but I'm definitely feeling it today. Not as bad as I thought I would be though. Made a big batch of chocolate chip pancakes topped with strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast...have to get rid of the rest of the pancake batter! So just a light lunch. I bought some tamales the other day that I want to have for dinner but there are no cooking instructions on the package! So if I don't find online how to prepare them (which I'm guessing I will), I'll have my leftover spaghetti squash. Fully anticipate being at or under my calorie allotment today.

No gym today since the Sox game starts in a few minutes and my gym will be closed by the time it's over. But I'll go on a long walk this afternoon to make up for it. It's supposed to be almost 80 today so I'm thinking it will be a really nice afternoon for a walk.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
  • PHAT Oh no!!! Sorry for the gain, but you know, it's amazing how clothes really effect your weight. I have this slip of a nightie I wear and I've been weighing in it every morning, this morning I took it off and the scale went down another freakin' .6 lbs, that's over half a lb. for that little piece of cloth!

NorthernExposure Yea, I am still freakin' out days later! I have zero patience and I am over-reacting like crazy. I know I'm not married anymore, but the ring still means a lot to me and...I'm just soooo frustrated b/c I know it's in the house

    k15g15 Thanks...I hope I'll find it eventually

jigglefree I am stopping today, if I don't stop obsessing over it and turning my house upside down, I won't be able to function anymore. I'm hoping it turns up, thanks!

I'm writing in red since dreaded TTOM is still knocking on my door lol. Anyway, I'm down to 243.8 today and I'm super pumped!!! only 2.8 more pounds until my Easter goal!!! I'm am just praying to God I can stay on plan and stay under 1500 calories this weekend, since Monday is my "official" weigh-in and I'd like to squeeze one more pound out of me, but even if I just stay where I am, that will still be a 2.7 pound loss for the week and I'll take that...because I'm a slow loser
  • I'm having trouble losing weight. I'm eating healthy (I need more veggies) and I stay within my calorie limit most of the time and I work out every day or at the very least, every other day. I ended up gaining the 2lbs that I lost. I'm hoping that I lose the last 1.6lbs before weigh in on Monday. At least then, I will be back down to my 2lb loss.
  • Hi there, I'm fairly new -- figured I needed a new goal to keep my motivation up, and an Easter goal sounds perfect. I'm currently at 133lbs, I would love to see 130lbs by Easter.

I think it's pretty attainable if I stay away from peeps and cadbury eggs (easier said than done, I'm afraid - I am an admitted candy freak)

In the meantime, I would love to start feeling better about myself. That might be harder than resisting the candy, ya know? But in the end, maybe more important.
  • jiggle- congrads! you work so hard, you deserve to lose some inches! And yes eating your biggest meal for breakfast, lightest meal at dinner does work. I make sure I eat most of my carbs before 3:30pm also.

Dorian5- I know how you feel, all you see is Easter candy everywhere you go, it's so hard to resist. I'm a chocolate lover, so if you have to have some, just buy one Cadbury egg at a time, then you can't go overboard. I like the Russell Stover carmel marshmallow egg. They are only out for Easter, thankfully!

Weight is dropping, ate no peanut butter for 4 days. Rode the bike for 20min. no walk today. I got up too late and ended up eating breakfast at 11am. Had alot of running around to do at different stores, I was right on target with my calories, had about 1150 total with breakfast & lunch. Only three hours after lunch (6:15pm.), I was about to make dinner & I got so hungry it hurt. Felt drained and sick, had to force myself to stand and make it. So w/ dinner I'm at 1495, went over cause I had to eat more dinner than usual to feel better. I hate to feel sick & I knew I had to go to the market after I ate. It took about an hour to feel better, that sucked! Guess I have to remember to eat more on days I'm more active!
  • Weight yesterday was 230.0. Lost 1.5 pounds since last week.
Easter goal is 225. Next weigh in I should be in the 220's.
    I can do this!
  • Hey everyone. So far I have been doing really well with sticking on plan, and while I had been planning on alternating my walking distances (3 miles one day, then 1.6 the next) I have actually been sticking to 3 miles every day for the last 4 days. Today I break the streak though because I will be going to the gym this afternoon, so I will just do 1.6 miles. Tomorrow is my weigh in, so NO sodium for me tonight!!!

Dorian5- When I saw your avatar, I thought it was mine...on another site I go to my dog is my avatar, and my dog looks A LOT like your dog, and it messed with my head for a minute!

fruitlady- it's nice when the weight comes off! I have the opposite problem, a lot of times I have too many calories for me to eat with my usual foods, so I use a tbsp as a quick calorie/protien source! I wasn't overly fond of it, but am learning to enjoy it more.

diet4me- WTG on the loss! You're doing great!!
  • UGH! Stupid PMS! Can't seem to fill up and when I think I am, I still have massive urges to eat! Did pretty good all day yesterday until the evening. Hopefully I can refrain from eating all the groceries I bought yesterday in one fell swoop today.

Going to try to keep the calories at 1589. And hopefully the storm that's supposed to roll in will wait till a few hours after the ballgame so I have time for a walk. Otherwise, I might try to find some workout videos online to take care of getting some exercise in.

Is anyone else not wanting this weekend to end?
  • I second no end to the weekend! The sun just came out here, go figure - 5pm on Sunday?? Lame about the PMS, drink drink drink!

I'm having company over tonight for pudding, but I'm trying to keep it light. It's an off day from exercise, so I can't indulge too much. I have some apples and blueberries, I think I'm going to make mini tarts. LOVE that summer is on it's way! Fruit always seems more appealing to me in the summer... Weigh in day is tomorrow - if I'm in the 140's it's new perfume day!!
  • Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are!)

Didn't count yesterday and indulged in pizza for dinner. It's kind of my belated anniversary "cheat" to myself since I came down with the stomach flu last weekend and obviously didn't enjoy much food then! Back OP today though.

I did have a bit of an NSV yesterday. Just for giggles I tried on a pair of size 14 jeans when we were out shopping. A bit too "muffin toppy" to wear in public right now, but I was thrilled that I was able to get them zipped up! Perhaps by the end of the challenge (and after TOM is FINALLY over), I will be close!

One thing I really need to do soon is the dreadful swimsuit shopping. (DH are planning a little getaway to a waterpark hotel over Easter break.) I have a suit I bought from Target last year that I just loved, but it's just too big to wear anymore. They have some of a similar style, but I really don't like the colors/patterns they have. They do have one online that I like, but I'm a little leery. It's the same cut as the ones they have in the store so it *should* be fine, but ordering clothes online just seems to be such a craps shoot.

Jiggle: we were under yet another winter storm warning last night, but they downgraded it. They've really been off these past couple of "storms" (which is fine with me...SO tired of snow). We just have a little slushy stuff on the ground this morning. Looks like it's going to be in the 50's this week, so it should melt soon. Oh, and congrats on your loss!!

Well, I have some errands to run so I better get my butt in gear. Hope everyone is having a relaxing end to the week!

Edit: Jessica--I second the summer fruits! Can't wait for strawberries and melons to come into season...mmmmmmm!
  • Fruitlady - great ida, my honey and I split a chocolate covered peep about a week ago (he said "because you will not stop talking about them") Turns out, they aren't as good as I hoped. In fact, they're awful. Didn't stop me from eating every last bit of mine (while declaring how awful they are) and the rest of his half. The first step is admitting you have a problem.

OhMyDogs - how funny is that! That's Dorian, he's like my baby. I worked as a manager at Petsmart, he was abandoned there at 8 weeks. Can you imagine? Now he's 100lbs and lives like a king.

I weighed 132.6lbs this morning. Then the boy and I went to Golden Corral breakfast and I ate everything. Hustling backwards! Sheesh.
