OK I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, I have been reading alot.

Paleo, Matt stone 180 degree health, Did I say a lot. Plus I watched Fat head the movie that started the whole reading and searching about. Why I have in my whole life been fat struggled fighting fat and getting fatter ever diet I have tried.

First off I found a lot of great info searching Paleo, In fact I rushed out and bought some foods that would be Paleo friendly. Well my peanut butter, and walnuts and chicken not the best choices. Did anyone on any of the diets clue me in on omega 6. BAD in food.

GM did not have time to get back here yesterday life gets in the way lol.

OK I pulled my Body for life book out also and was reading it. I tell you what in the past 6 weeks I have really learned a heck of alot. And the main thing I learn that Dieting does not work. I spent almost 2 years Dieting my self fat again, cutting calories, Lc, FF, LF a little paleo. The body hates this and will do its darnedest to protect itself.

So for the next 15 weeks I will eat 6 sm meals a day going by the body for life routine. Each meal will consist of 1 protein 1 carb and 2 meals will have added veggies. 1 day a week I will have off for what ever I want.
There are a few things I am changing The tbs of added good fat daily will be real butter none of that veg oil that is not good for a rat. and I have added half and half to my protein choices.

Naturally I will probable figure out my calories for just a look see these next few days. He's plan is basically like sft from ww but with the exchange plan feel. eating all clean no processed crap.

Today I will start to eat as planed, but the real start will be Thursday when I weigh. ( the scale will not be my judge because I will start doing lifting per say also Thur) which everyone knows muscle weighs more then fat, and hey when I weighed 130 people actually thought I weighed less and called me a tiny thing lol. loved that.

Exercise will be NO hard core aerobics forget that. don't need it. I will start evening walking with my son when it gets a little warmer and after daylight savings next week (YEA) for the enjoyment and get out of the house and spend time with my son.

Weight lifting, I have know weight do not want to go buy weight and refuse to spend money to go to the gym. I do have resistance bands. that hopefully there not dry rotted (hate to get hit by one if it breaks)It does hurt

Alrighty off to eat yea, and figure out my workout routine. ttyl

Just a little clearer on the food. I'll be eating

Protein will be meat will try to keep it lean (in my case mostly beef) Chicken fat an skin has that omega 6 I want to stay away from. Or sub Half and half for a protein.

Carbs choices will be starches and fruit and the few grain. So I could pick for a meal either a potato or a fruit or oatmeal or brown rice or ff yogurt, 2 slices lite bread or lc tortilla

Veggies anything green I like. for the 2 meals.

fat 1 tbsp daily Mine is butter. Not listed but as I said I don't plan on putting that processed veg oil in my system again lol

I will more then likely pick up my protein powder. I like it and use to use it all the time. and that will help getting in the 6 meals :dizzy:

Wow It only took me 6 years to do what my doctor told me to do when he said I had reactive hypoglycemia (eat 6 meals a day or every few hours). I thought he was nuts. I was big into LC and man they (LC) were right Boy was I wrong. I was wrong about a lot of stuff and Have been looking, But to get to the right stuff you have to dig through the good and bad info. Hopefully it won't take you 6 years of frustration to find your way.

There is good and bad in ever diet I tried or plan. But it is not one glove fit all. This, what I am doing has the good I took away from each plans and have worked it in to my own. The question I asked my self is can I live with this. Yes I can. I am not looking at it and saying (well I can't have that or that or how on earth am I going to stick with it. Boy I cant wait to get this over with).
NONE of that stuff came in to my way of thinking as I was putting this together.

I did Kinda of a calorie count and 1800 will be about my highest and will vary according to my choices.

My Day off will more then likely be on the weekend. I would prefer it to be FRI. That way I will have A week before I weigh in again, Don't know. Well be going out shopping on the weekends so that would be nice to get a Arbys or something. I don't know If it will be an all out binge (Hey in the book he says go for it) I have really noticed that the binging I use to do has pretty much gone. I don't get my moneys worth at all you can buffets anymore lol.

In ten day I well be 53 Wow over half a century old. But I really don't feel it.
Sure I have a few kinks here and there and that makes it a good reason to start moving again and get my eating straighten out. I have not let myself go to total crap, the weight gain is every where just not on my butt or gut. I have always been lucky there. And I still have muscle although covered. So I am really looking forward to see what I can do in 15 weeks. :D

I MAY get my kid to take a pic of me and hide it somewhere lol. I hate taking pics. But it well give me something to compare. :p

Well today looks like it may be pretty out but still to cold to do much outdoors. I did get the 6 meals in will update yesterdays food later. I Know that I am going to need to make or buy something easy to grab to fix into the days meal plans. It wasn't so bad eating every 2 hours (I did not get hungry that's for sure).

Today I am going to find my p90 tapes for the resistance bands so I can come up with a workout routine.

My calories yesterday where a little higher then I'm use to to lose weight (1730 calories). I am one of those lucky people who, my entire life was lead to believe you have to starve yourself to lose weight. But for now i am staying with the higher calories and better food choices. This will be a true test, Does Eating good food and working out let you lose weight? No gimmicks or restrictions other then staying away from processed junk.

Had a great eating day today. I really like having a bunch of meals through out the day, No time to get hungry. Instead of 6 meals today had 5. My dinner was a double meal. So total calories today was 1338 calories. So just depending on my hunger during the day well be 5 or 6 meals a day.

I also got in sprints on my treadmill today 20 min. every 3 min bumped it up and sprinted for 30 sec. Boy big difference. Great workout in 20 min. Faster and better then doing those hour runs. My knee thanks me for it.

Good morning. Today was weigh in day. and I am a perfect example how funny the body can be. my weight was 172.8 YEA I lost all I had gained last week plus lost an extra .6 lbs

And that is from basically cleaning up the food. I can't stress to anyone who has been trying to live off 3 meals a day and a snack and are still hungry and craving give the 6 meals a try. It is the best thing I have done.

Did sprints again today. started at a nice power walk and then every 3 mins hit the speed and sprinted for 30 sec's. then dropped down. 20 mins and it busted my butt lol.

Even tho I am pushing the 6 meals it is harder then you think, If you are eating clean and not grabbing the junk (aka protein candy bar) I look at the ingredients and don't want that stuff in me. So I am still in search of a recipe that I can make my own with the ingredients that will meet my needs.

I eat 8-9 times a day!:D Keeps the metabolism "revved" up!;) Congrats on reaching an all time low.:hug: Stick with it and you WILL make your goal.:)

GoalBound yes give it a try and definitely check out Joyfullosers thread. She is making great progress and has been at it a lot longer then I have.

Joyfulloser thanks for popping in. Feels good it going in the other direction again lol.

Yesterday ended up to be a day off. Well not the whole day. Went out to eat had a great meal didn't over stuff but had some of everything I wanted plus a desert. Today going to try to get some baking in. and get me some go to stuff for some of my meals and trying to still stay as natural as possible.

Also I am not going to log my food for a week. Why? this will give me an idea If I am on the right track as far as portion size and if my body is getting back to normal eating. I do not want to spend the rest of my life writing down and thinking about food. :) Still going to eat 6 meals.

Well get my sprints in here in a bit, well start to try and get the resistant training in sometime this up coming week. I don't want to get burned out tiring to change to much at one time.

8 lbs in seven weeks doesn't seem like a lot, But If I would have continued eating the way I was it could have been easily 8 lbs in the other direction. So extremely happy about it.

The best thing I think, is if you have a bad day, Don't dwell on it, Keep going. Don't over think it. It may seem that I was consumed about changing this or that through out this 6 weeks, But in truth I set my mind to try certain things and forgot about it just followed through. Some didn't work so well, but I kept going forward with out the guilt of a weight gain or a bad day.

Ok got my sprints in this morning. Decided to make the black bean brownies and make up some semi veggie burgers. This should cut down on meal making during the week. The Brownies I will be cooking without any kind of sweetener and add when I eat them.
Trying to cut down on Splenda and other AF sweeteners.
No longer have diet soda in the house and learning Yes learning to drink water. Never been much of a water drinker

Here's the recipe I am going to try, but each burger/steak I will add 2oz hamburger for flavor. This will also cut down on the food cost. Well let you know what I think of them after I cook them. Good or bad lol they will be on the menu. I think they will be good tho.

Yesterday went good, Made the veggie burger/steak not to bad. I altered the recipe and added some hamburger to help with more of a beef taste. Close to the baca burger if I could have cooked them on the grill. Will do a lot of these this summer when grilling starts.

I ended up tracking my calories yesterday, still not comfortable in my judgment on food yet. 1559 calories. I think it will come eventually. Making my bean brownies today. Going by a different recipe then the last one I made. It is amazing how you would never know there was a bean in it unless you were told.

So a lazy day today. Happy Sunday everyone :D
