Fixed my planed dinner and boy it was a lot of food for the calories. I really need to plan meals more often. plus I still have room in the calories dept. for a nice snack before bed.

Right now I am trying to gauge the amount of food so down the road I can judge the calories with out pen an paper

Having safe choices is always a good plan. There are times that I know if I take a few bites of something, that I just will not be able to stop. Choosing to eat something else altogether is the best plan.

Well last night or should i say 12:10 midnight reared its ugly head. Got up and ate 2 brownies that was in the fridge. I should have thrown the darn things.

Well I have know Idea how may calories they had but I know a lot homemade with icing.
I was kind of bummed about it but will cut daily calories down for the rest of the week to fit them in. It just shows me stuff like that does not need to be in the house.

Today I am finishing my shopping so will look for a alternative for those midnight raids.

Well I am kinda doing a weight watchers version for calorie counting. I did their 7 day free trial to get the goods on them.

So basically I am giving myself weekly calories. In my case its 8400 calories a week or 1200 a day.

just like a bank account I deposit my 8400 calories on Thursday. I know I can spend 1200 a day to last till next Thursday.

Each day I deduct my daily calories from my weekly total. My brownie raid last night was a bum, but I went ahead and took it out of my weekly still giving me a decent total left for the week. So if Im low on some days then its kinda like a savings I can dip into.

Its funny when I deducted those brownie calories out, I got the same feeling as I do with a real checking account and that impulse buy. lol So I think next time I wont be so eager to stuff something into my mouth.

Now I haven't decided what to do if at the end of the week I have left over calories. Drop them and forget about them or throw them into a calorie savings account for a treat down the road. Well see.

Speaking of impulse purchase, today im going to go get Zumba join the party for the wii. It bits into the budget, but heck I need the exercise. lol

I went out and bought the zumba party for the wii. put it in and just looked through it and played around on a few of the tutorials. Heck could feel it in the legs. I most say its going to take some learning on the jiggling everything lol. But really looking forward to doing it in the mornings. That's the time I like to work out.

One thing at my age it has to be fun or am not going to do it. So I will drop a few lines about it as I go along.

Had another midnight raid, but grabbed a 60 calorie string cheese. much better the the brownies lol.
Today I am going to start learning my zumba should be fun.

Well it looks like the string cheese is the food for midnight raids. Got up again. And grabbed one. Not going to worry about it anymore. better cheese then cake.

This morning I am going to play with my Zumba game. No one is home so I dont have to look like a total assss in front of anyone. Now once I learn the steps then I wont care lol. I think I will dive start in to the beginner work outs.

I remember years ago learning all the Richard Simmons tapes, took a little bit to learn them, but now if I hear a song I can still remember the movies.

The days are still going by slow, I am hoping once this first week is over I will stop being so focused on this and just get on with normal daily stuff again.

Hey Surf!

I just wanted to let you know that you motivated me earlier this morning. I was reading through your entire thread and got to the part where you ate brownies in the middle of the night. I was sitting here in a strange funk and mindlessly drinking my second Pepsi of the day, for absolutely no reason...just drinking it because it was there. I dumped it down the sink, popped in my walking dvd and walked 5 Miles, burned 474 calories and saved my day!!

Thanks for the inspiration to ditch the drink and earn back the calories I had wasted!:hug:

Hey Gettin, Thank you so much for posting and Grats for dumping the soda. Yea those brownies made me almost throw the towel in, then I thought to my self just reduce my cals for the rest of the week to fit them in and so far it has worked out and I kept going.

Today I tried out my Zumba for the Wii, Oh my goodness 2 mins in and it was kicking my but. If I master this then I may end up adding calories. In total I did about 5 min of the beginning level and 40 min practicing the tutorials. They can be a challenge in there self's. So I know the fun will be when I learn it and the endurance builds back up. lol it was a killer. I will get my moneys worth

Well my eating has been pretty good I have 1400 cals for today and tomorrow then I start a new week. I really like going by a weekly calorie amount it just feel a little more freeing and at the end of the week (If I've been a good girl) I could have a higher treat, let say like brownies lol.

Did a chicken stir fry last night and I assumed soy sauce was 0 cal, boy I happened to look at the bottle while I was sloshing it on, 20 cal a tbs. Go figure so that added about 100 extra calories. Well had plenty of cals left but kinda pissed me off lol.

kk did my Wii Zumba this morning, lasted a few more minutes, did it in stages between getting the wash done. Im going to be like rocky if I get this down and parade all over the house.

So last night had pizza. But the cool thing is it fit in my calories. This morning tho I am really bloated. salt. Well its a good thing I don't weigh till tomorrow.

Feeling some twinges in the back so will probable play my golf game today and give zumba a rest.

It still amazes me how time slows down when you go on a diet. lol Normally the week would have flown by. I have a feeling today is going to be really slow since it is the last day of my first week.

I know sitting and waiting for it to happen is going to make it a long drawn out affair. I need to get busy doing something and thinking about anything other the food and calories.

Alright y today is the start of week 2 for me. So glad to get the first week over.
It was a little rocky but stayed with in my weekly calorie allowance. Will weigh in a bit, but feel bloated so I'm not expecting much. Had a lot of changes this week so the body may be in shock lol.

OK weighed and I am at 177.6 not a big start like I was hoping for. So a loss of 2.6 lbs

Ok I have decide For week #2 to go back to LC. 10 carbs or less and no calorie counting. to see If there will be a difference in the weight loss. Well be back at the end of the week (next thur) to post my week and compare. I would like to keep the calories some what lower then I normally do.
