MzHopeful Grats on your weight loss. Cant weight to see that number again. And thank you so much for the encouragement.

I Made and tried the bean brownies not to bad at all. Heck the batter was great licked the bowl. lol OK my pan was to big so they were thin I would use a small square pan or muffin tins next time. Also they are dry, but that could have come from over cooking.

Another thing I just thought of is to use some of the batter in a smoothie of freeze it and eat it like cookie dough lol. Who knows. lol

I cut them up and got 8 which is 100 cal each. I ate 2 for brunch since I got busy and did not eat till 12:20 pm and I am satisfied not wanting nothing else. So will see if it sticks with me for awhile.

I just thought of adding sf ff choc pudding to this. Humm I could add chunks to the made up pudding or use this as a pie crust. Choc pie with bananas and whip cream. filling desert. OK guess What I will try later. Put my chunks in the bottom of a pie pan, whip up the pudding. OK thinking out loud here. lol

Need to save my yogurt container with plastic lids this would work great.

Alrighty took 10 foil cupcake liners, broke up the browines and put them in the bottom of each. made up the ff sf pudding and poured it over the top of the brownies and stuck them in the freezer. will pull one out tonight and try that for a 64 calorie snack. Wow I can really see some possibilities here.

Next time I may make the brownies without sugar and crumble them up and add real sugar (don't like the splenda taste) plus it wouldn't take them up to high in calories. It would also be more like a choc. graham cracker crust.

Buy the way I still feel full and its been almost 3 hours since I tried those. Hummmm I'll take it.

Yesterday was another good day. It was fun playing in the kitchen, cooking.

My legs are a little stiff this morning from walking on the treadmill, but can be expected. The days are speeding by again and so glad I managed to stick it out the last four weeks. I hate that start over stuff and wasted time spent between the start overs. The best thing is, it is starting to feel like a normal life style.

The one common thing in all four weeks, even tho I was bouncing on and off different plans I was keeping an eye on the calories.

I did the middle of the night raid and yes grabbed a bean brownie out of the freezer and almost broke my teeth. set it out and hit it later in the night. Put in fridge more user friendly lol.

I am cooking up another batch today and maybe some tweaked oat bars and store them away. I rather have something ready for when I raid.

Did my treadmill and was thinking going to make a Oatmeal
bean choc brownie (cookie) If it comes out good then will post the recipe.

Gm all. Really liking the days I have been having. Not stressing over food. Yesterday Had pizza for dinner, a lot of points but no biggie my calories where good. One thing about pizza is it bloats (salt) and I really don't get full on it. So don't eat it to often.

Slept the whole night so no food. Yea a good thing.

Going out to eat tonight but know what they have and its a free meal so will eat what I know is safe and if I don't get enough then will eat when I get home.

Alrighty sat and figured out the damage OUCH lol,

You know I have really come along way in these 5 1/2 weeks. In the past this would have made me feel like crap and boohoo I blew it. But Its not there. Just the feeling OK it can be fixed and no reason to start over.

Well since my points went out the window, not real concerned about it since I have been keeping tabs on my calories. Probable won't continue with the points thing. I don't know. They do have the usefulness of showing at a glance the garbage I'm eating and by using them Or rather tiring not to use them helps to learn to steer clear of the crap. either way I am still wanting to eat clean. I will still go by the SFT list I have.

Eating last night was not a total failure. We have eaten there many many times and I could easily put away 3 plates of food and 3 or 4 different deserts. Just multiple x 4 of last nights meal. Yep I was a true all you can eat buffet person. Another thing I was overstuffed and was very uncomfortable.
Well guess where I am going friday same place all you can eat crablegs lol.
That happens to be the 2nd day of a new week for me. So will try to plan it out during the week. The meal part is not so much the problem its getting past the deserts and when I eat out I don't want fruit for a desert. They do have the no sugar added diabetic pies, need to look up calories for them.

Well time to move forward. Not at all sure what I am going to eat today. Keep it simple maybe oatmeal some fruit. Not really hungry yet, so a plus.

I figured basically if I cut back 200 calories out each day for the next 3 days then I will be pretty good. And that really isn't that much.

Not getting on the treadmill today, giving the legs a break will get back on tomorrow.

Well since I wrote a book today its time to get some dishes done. Its going to be a good day.

If I can keep today real low can go ahead fix my over calories from yesterday and then can forget about it.

surfnmom 02-22-2011 09:36 AM

Tried to stay lower yesterday but was hungry, I did made a dent in my overage in calories. Today will well keep it lower. Need to start getting busy, getting my self busy. Dieting some days is like watching a clock or waiting for water to boil.
Still debiting if I well stick to counting points. I am kinda going toward the NO.
With the cost of food tying to it right is hard but well stay as clean as I can.

Will cook ham, green beans, and potatoes today in the crock pot. The ham is lean so will be pretty good.

OK had a great day yesterday, kept the calories low without really tiring. The longer I do this the more normal it gets. Tomorrow is my weigh in day and hopefully will see a lb drop. Always would like more but heck it all adds up in the end.

I am feeling so much better and not that slug sitting around. I am moving better and starting to feel like my old active self. Can't believe how quickly I deteriorated this past year and a half.

When I go out I see so many people my age or younger that are grossly over weight, dragging them self's along. Its a shame. I don't want to be that way. I don't want to set around pop pills and complain about hurting.

What is working this time? Writing down and counting the calories.
If I go over no big deal just cut back during the week.
Don't start over, no reason for it. I hate start overs. just keep trucken
Don't stress over it.

Well keep it low again today. Been thinking about my up coming dinner out. I pretty much have an idea what I'm going to eat, so hopefully I will follow through.

Been Thinking (oh no) yep Read the thread about cheat days I prefer day off. Since we don't eat out that often anymore, Now maybe a few times a month to nice places (I can do with out fast food) After trying to figure out what to eat Friday if we still go out, I have a little voice in the back of my mind saying (enjoy don't worry about it).

Sure it may slow down the process a bit but I have and need a doable life time plan.
When I got on the 50 lbs this year loss, I met what I said 1 lb a week will get me there. I had no problem getting back on plan when we ate out this past Sunday. In fact after today I made up for the overage in calories. Well see what the scale says tomorrow (all tho I don't plan on living by it) It is a tool only and can not be the master.

OK let me re word myself a meal off not the whole day off.
And indulge in yep a desert that I never get a home or cook or buy. I gave up butter so will not have any of that again. Descent choices that yes they will be healthy but bigger portions of good stuff, and a treat.

Well just found out its next Friday we are going out lol
So that will work out even better. I could be thrifty through the week for the occasion. Then I feel I saved for it.

surfnmom 02-24-2011 10:40 AM

weighed this am 173.4 a loss of 1.8 total in 5 week 6.8lbs
weekly calories total 9668 averaging 1381 a day.
slow and steady sucks lol but going down.

Well today another new week. Yesterday mainly in the evening/night I had hunger issues. manage to stay within my calorie range. Maybe due to my 2 past lower days. Hope today is back to normal.

Will not go back to counting points, think calorie counting is way more accurate then trusting points and my eyes on serving size. Maybe in the maintenance stage but that's down the road a bit.

So will keep calories in the 1200-1400 area. Hopefully I wont have the hunger issue.

joyfulloser 02-24-2011 11:13 AM

Slow and steady wins the race!;) Congrats on your loss!:D

surfnmom 02-24-2011 01:01 PM

OK still dealing with a hunger, Just had a huge breakfast oatmeal, apple, banana, milk. For me that's huge. Think I am over kill on the carbs in my system. feels like the old days. may need to convert to the cader protocol 2 low carb meals and save the higher carbs for dinner to see if I can get a handle on it. Sill counting the calories, not changing anything other then when I eat certain things. Will have protein for lunch and possible dinner with a Lc veg.

alrighty its a few hours later 4 pm now, been stuffing in food, all good for you type stuff and now at 1408 for the day and finally feeling full. but still in a way want food.

could it be from virtually no fat in my diet for a few weeks. just the body fighting the weight loss? Don't know. To many carbs causing my insulin to be going crazy. Maybe my full button is broke today lol. Well if I don't need anything else to eat then no foul.

I just don't know.
