Jiggle: I'm glad you've found something to motivate you. I know exactly what you mean about not thinking you're making progress. It's so nice when you find evidence to the contrary! BigMamaTX: I hope you feel better soon! Take it easy and heal! Fruitlady: I'm just waiting for the day your hubby has to get something out of the trunk and there's all this peanut butter, frosting, etc. crammed in there...lol! Good solution though! As for me: I've been doing OK this week, really about the same as any other "normal" week, but I just feel like I'm in a rut and not feeling very optimistic about losing right now. Hopefully it's just the pre-weigh in jitters for tomorrow. I think I'm just really ready to get out of this cold weather for a few days! It's not even "officially" winter yet, and I already have the "blahs." We have a Christmas party tomorrow night. We're going to eat before we go, but I know I'm going to have a few drinks...hopefully won't overdo it TOO much!! Can't believe this is the last weekend before Christmas. Crazy! |
Just finished my 30 Day Shred!!! Love getting it done in the morning. I've got to get ready for work but I will check in later. I will be keeping my eating in check since there are no more parties coming up until next Wednesday. I did really well eating at the party buuuut I did have two glasses of wine and that may have put me over to 1220 calories. I will be more mindful today so I can be on plan. I'm happy with my progerss this week. Gotta go or I will be late.

Well, I'm in a much better mood today....got the little "whoosh" I've been waiting for! Down 3.1 lbs to 193.6 (I'll call it 194 on my ticker)...which means I've met my challenge goal!! Woo-hoo!!! 80 lbs lost! Now, the challenge of course is to KEEP it off over the next couple of weeks...gonig to be a challenge, but I'm going to do my best! I think my final WI is actually going to be Wed. (we leave to go out of town on Thursday, but I'm thinking we'll go out to eat Wed. night, so don't want sodium bloat to be a factor in my final WI for this challenge.) So for the final push, I hope to lose the .6 and be 193 even! We do have that Christmas party tonight, but I'm trying to budget for drinks so I can stay at least on the high end of my calories for the day. Nothing else too "tempting" going on until Christmas...so hopefully not too much damage! Hope everyone has a great weekend! |
Good afternoon everyoen. wtg NORTHERN:cheer2:for the weight lost. I can't wait till I see those numbers. Hopefully I will reach that next DEC. 2011. My goal is to be 217 by July. Got a lot of work to do. Feeling a little better today but still my hip hurts when walking but I think I will be ok. I was just told by a nurse that if I bag up some rice and heat it up in the macorwave and put it where it hurts it should help. I've got an uncle that had back surgery and thats what he is doing for the pain now. So i'm going to give it a try. Well todays calories will come to 1108 and I'm weighting in at 253.4 so no change since the last weigh in. Well everyone have a good evening and I will ck back in later. :wave::dust:

northern- Congrads on the 80lb weight loss, that's quite an accomplishment! And what you said about my husbands trunk was so funny. lol It worked for me, so there will be alot food going in his trunk. lol
Had 1360 cal. Lost 2.8 more pounds(the trunk idea helped), almost to goal. I did have 2 servings of fat free chocolate ice cream earlier today( couldn't put that in the trunk, it could be a mess) If I could have put it in my husbands trunk, believe me, I would have. I totally recommend doing this if your having trouble staying away from sweets this holiday. He takes it to work with him & by the time he gets home at 10pm, I don't even want it anymore & am ready for bed anyway. Gotta do what works! |

Thanks for the continual support, it means a lot to me. Stressed out with more work hours in the lead up to Christmas but mostly keeping to my calories. No gaining, which is good, and I'm still positive for another loss before Christmas. |

1195 cal. today, weight stayed the same. My calories were a bit higher( like 60 calories) the past two days, so I maintained at least. I want to lose 1 more pound though. I don't want the relatives to see i gained weight on X-mas, so I'm trying to keep my weight down. I'm sure I'll be craving junk food by tomorrow, it's gonna be real hard. I have this stupid idea in my head that it is the holidays & I should be able to eat junk if I want it, to celebrate. I have to talk myself out of pigging out every day, I'm so sick of it!

Been doing well but it's getting hard. What do you ladies do when you are on teh edge of falling apart. Got a call that my mom had a stroke yesterday but she's doing better today. Thankfully I haven't over indulged. I don't like to eat when I'm too emotional. But I get lazy. I've been okay but a little discouraged. My progress has gotten very slow almost stalled. Never been here before...the tape usually moves somewhere and I've been working so hard. Any suggestions how to get my loss moving again. I'm really needing some help today.

Jiggle- sorry to hear about your mom, I hope she'll be ok. Stress can make you hold on to weight, maybe that's part of the stall your experiencing.
1145 cal. today, I wasn't too hungry, my weight stayed the same. I made up a recipe for a yogurt pie, it felt like a treat or dessert, but it really wasn't. I ate it after breakfast, I wasn't hungry for the rest of the day. It's made of just any kind of yogurt you want( 4- 6oz), knox gelatin mixed w/ 1/4 cup boiling water.( I used 1 packet, but next time I'm gonna try 1/2), fresh fruit( as much as you want) with no crust. Just mix in a bowl and pour it in a pie pan & put it in the fridge for 4 hrs. It's easy, quick & feels like your indulging in a treat. Alot of protien in it, so it fills you up for a long time. You can make a different flavor everytime to keep it interesting. I don't know how the gelatin will effect me w/ weight loss til tomorrow. It seems when I eat anything processed, even though there is no fat & 20 calories a pack, I gain weight. My body is very picky, there's just certain things I can't eat even though they are healthy that make me gain weight. If I gain, it will be the last time I'll make it! |
Jiggle, I'm sorry to hear about your mom.
We just got word yesterday that DH's grandma passed away. He's lost both his grandmas this year. It looks like the funeral will probably be Thursday. Not that there's ever a good time to lose your grandma, but it's especially hard during the holidays. She hadn't been doing well for a while, but she recently got pnemonia (sp) and went pretty quickly after that. I too, have been getting lazy. Haven't exercised since Wednesday. Had a few drinks at the Christmas party Friday night, but only went about 100 cals over the top end of my range. Ate normally the rest of the weekend, but didn't count. Today we had a catered lunch at work. I ate reasonably, but way more than I normally do when I bring my own lunch. No idea how many calories (Caesar salad wrap and chicken wild rice soup were the main components.) I passed on the potato chips but did indulge in a chocolate chip cookie. Going to try to get at least a couple of days of exercise in this week before we leave for the funeral/Christmas stuff. Looks like our trip to Laughlin is still on for the day after Christmas. I am glad about that...we both need a break. Still going to WI Wednesday morning. Was hoping for a modest lost, but will be happy if I'm still 194! |

Hey ladies.. just checking in quickly, work is driving me insane and leaving me exhausted basically. Have no time for much else, and a lot of stuff I need to do. Not sure how to fit it in!! Down to 68 kg / 149.9 pounds, which I'm happy enough with, will see if there is another loss before Christmas, but if not I'm still fairly happy! Aiming to hopefully just maintain over Christmas./New Year as I am going away for a week and won't have internet access. |

Jiggle ~Hope your mom is doing well now. Sending My hugs to u & her & Prayers. ~Only thing that helped my weight loss take off when I got stuck was a change in calories ~up or down & different amount of exercise.~I was exercising daily~Now to 5 days a week & the weight is dropping off. More so than I wanna have it too..So I am upping Or trying to my calories....Maybe give that a try~<3 Ya girl. I think u look beautiful By the way!! ~HUGS TO ALL ~My daughter just got home from a date & I am sleepy~Off to bed I go ~geesh kids will keep ya busy~especially a teenager daughter ~WHEW I AM WORN OUT!!
