Thank you Northernexposure!

My new Christmas Goal will be 5lbs total. So, I have 2lbs to lose.

fruitlady 12-08-2010 05:39 PM

Had 1185 cal. today, I am being careful today. TOM came 3 days ago, I've never been so constantly hungry. Usually get cravings a few days before( I think, I don't get cramps, I never know when I'm going to getting it), but not actual hunger pains. This is a first for me, so I didn't know how to plan for it. Yesterday I ate 3300 calories cause of it. I also gained a pound from that peanut butter & ice cream I wanted so badly. So today, I'm fighting the hunger. My personal red line is 110lbs. Other than my usual power walk, I rode the bike last night vigorously for 30 min. I'm doing it tonight again, trying to burn all those extra calories. I hope it works!

Ugh, I haven't been on 3FC in a while - it's been insanely busy at work this week and I haven't gotten home before 8pm for a few nights. But the good news is progress is being made (at work) - the bad news is eating lunches with clients and eating dinner on the go is NOT good for staying on plan. I haven't gone crazy but I definitely haven't been on plan as well as I would have liked. Still, two more days of this level of madness then things should calm down a bit and I can get back on track!

Losing4another 12-09-2010 07:22 AM

ori- Aww Poor kid four fillings for the lil guy  Come on over ...compared to your weather we are nice and warm to you

Fruitlady- I would guess with how active you are that would be why your getting so hungry. Maybe adding more protein would help. I know if I even just taste peanut butter I gain... There is lots of lowfat ice cream though

I'm going to put my goal at 5 lbs :) If I lose more it will just be a bonus

Looks like everyone is making goals and doing it well. I'm better and ready to get my workout done. I don't know how close I will be to getting into more of the size 12s I have in my closet. Hopefully not too far away with two weeks to go. I'm hoping I can remove two inches in my hips and stomach so that I'll be closer to my size 12.

cathyo 12-09-2010 09:45 AM

My goal seems to be going in reverse  Gained a lb instead of losing one. I had a few days of bad eating but the last 2 days went back on track and hovered around 1200 calories, but I think the previous days may have caught up with me today. With luck I will have a major woosh day soon to get me closer to the weight loss I wanted by Christmas :crossed:
Staying on track today also and as soon as I get back from the store will do the 2 mile Walk Away the Pounds video by Leslie Sansone.

Less than 24 hours til WI time for me! Been OP all week (including this past weekend) so I'm really hoping for a loss. Last night I did 20 minutues elliptical, 10 minutes of weight lifting (mostly bench press and pec deck) and 20 minutes yoga. I recently got a new yoga DVD...some of it is a little advanced for me right now, but I did what I could!

Tonight I'm thinking I will give my borrowed Zumba DVD's another shot. The set I have has a "basics" DVD where they just go through the dance steps, but the next level up is MUCH faster and really hard to keep up....but I guess as long as I'm moving, it doesn't matter that I look like an idiot, lol. Does anyone have the "other" zumba DVD set (the one currently available on the zumba website?) I think the one I'm borrowing is an older version. So far, Zumba seems really fun, but I wish they had an "intermediate" level in the set I have instead of going from "basics" right to advanced. Maybe after Christmas I will buy the other DVD set for myself. I would love any feedback anyone has on it though!

Well, ladies...it's Thursday for most of us...almost through another week!

Just finished my workout and feel great. I did 30 minutes on the eliptical. Been eating on plan so something's gotta give. It may be that I was swollen from the Terrible TOM and I may be smaller come the weekend.

I have notes of Christmas dancing in my head. PARTY!!!

Hi everybody, I would like to join you too. I am trying to figure out what causes me to lose weight and I think low calorie def does it for me. I am not exactly counting calories as I think I will feel obsessed but I sort of know what foods are high calorie so i try to cut them down and eat more less calorie - i am planing a salad for lunch tomorrow - a lot of greens with some olives and cheese to keep me full. cut down on nuts and need to cut down on eggs because i just abuse them these days. I am 152 now and I wish to be 150 by Christmas. there is a possibility I might not get it, if that is the case, I will try not to binge eat on it but extend it until end of the year. Also I will really try and do some exercise over the next 2 weeks! Good luck everybody! Thank you for being here!

rainbowstripe 12-09-2010 06:18 PM

Hey ladies! I'm doing well (I think) still having lower calorie days than I should be but I've got my mind into this weird place where I think I should be eating fewer because I'm so short? I don't know... I don't know if I've lost either, and perhaps the loss has slowed down because I've been eating fewer calories during the weeks...but I'm not sure. I'll weigh tomorrow and see what's happening with my weight.

fruitlady 12-09-2010 07:26 PM

Well at least i didn't gain any more from over eating 2 days ago. Usually I gain two days in a row when I eat like a pig. Only gained 1 lb. , I think the stationary bike helped . My weight stayed the same, instead of gaining. Now I know what to do. I pedal at 15 miles per hour( considered vigorous) for 30min. straight & make sure I move my arms also( above my head or like I'm walking). Adding arm movement while riding makes me sweat, so i figure I'm sweating out any excess salt. It was so cold outside today, it was like 18 degrees when it was time for my walk. So I rode the bike instead, I usually don't replace my power walks w/ the bike, so I hope it was as good as power walking. I'd love a treadmill, too expensive for me though. Good luck to all!

Losing4another 12-09-2010 11:51 PM

Lori- Burr 14 thats way to cold... 30's are freezing for us.. We are by the coast though so it's windy so it always feels colder adding the wind. Wow your dentist likes to do those fillings really close together... I'd want to to let the poor guy recover a week or so. I'm still having issues with my wisdom teeth removal... One of them doesn't want to heal. Keeps me away from those hard fatty snack foods though

Rainbow- Hello fellow shorty :D Sometimes a higher calorie day helps when you went over board keeping them to low.

I really don't like this time of year with food. Everytime I gain control someone says lets go eat this or that...nothing healthy of course. Is it january yet?????

NorthernExposure 12-10-2010 08:57 AM

Happy Friday!

Well, I'm down 1.5 this week to 196.7 (I'll call it 197 on my ticker.) I'll take it. 2.7 lbs to go for the challenge. Since my last WI will be on December 23rd, it's going to be close at this rate. Hoping for a mini "whoosh" soon, I need a boost! Lately it seems like I really have to work for every lb. Not that I didn't before, but the weight is just coming off slower. Come January, I think I may do a little re-tweaking. After this challenge, I just hope to maintain until New Years. Christmas, then our trip to Laughlin and of course New Years Eve...none of which are very "plan" friendly events!

Fruitlady and Losing: you wanna talk about cold...we're in for our first arctic cold snap of the year this weekend. They're talking -20 tomorrow night with -40 windchills....brrr! Southern Nevada is looking better and better all the time :)
