I'm popping in really quick to say I probably won't be on this board until after the challenge ends. I've got an extremely busy next few days with my parent's 50th anniversary dinner and 2 Halloween get togethers planned. I'll be on plan, though, so I have no doubt I'll have a good report when I come back on Monday morning.

Good luck to everyone else! I can't wait to hear how far we all got on this challenge. And I can't wait to start the next one. :D

rainbow ~ I'm glad you likes Zumba, and congrats on going back on eating plan so easily!

MissPriss ~ woo! job! and the timing sounds perfect.

sandcar  and have fun at the party!

Jules ~ I would love to know how you make your fish and chips

jiggle ~ I don't think I could have been as kind if someone who wasn't a close friends talked to me that way. It sounds like jealousy to me.

Lori! you are awesome as always!!

As for me I've had a really great focused week for food (everything else has been scattered and a mess, but at least my food and exercise have been down)! I met the mid range of my challenge goal this morning and if I manage to avoid a stall, I see no problem hitting the bottom of it.

It's Zumba night tonight!

My goals ~
see the mid 160's (163-167) ~ I'm at 165.1 now (challenge start was 171.6)
log all calories (been lax about this) ~ on track!!

julesp313 10-28-2010 04:23 PM

Jiggle - I think you look healthy and well (based on your profile pic) and your friend is a bit of an idiot to even reference anorexia. Wave her off and know how good you look!
JayLei - I am the world's laziest "cook" - my fish and chips are merely oven bake fries (similar to Ore Ida Crinkles but they're a store brand) and Van de Kamps fish sticks. 3oz of fries is 130 cals so I had 6oz, and five fish sticks is 210 cals. Oven bake for 25 minutes and they're crispy and delicious. I usually add a veggie and have a really filling and tasty dinner for under 500 calories.

Me - had lunch at Sweet Tomatoes today (a salad, soup, pasta, muffin buffet if you don't know of it) where I can easily overeat and eat the wrong foods. Today I was super aware of what I was putting on my plate - I loaded up with the raw veggies, added a little hard boiled egg and a spoonful of blue cheese for protein, and avoided all the creamy salads. I had a small baked potato with salsa and green onions, which was so good in the cold. For dessert - oh yes, I have dessert! - I had a mini blueberry muffin and the Dreyers fat free frozen yogurt they have on soft serve. All the nutritional info is online and I came out right around 500 calories. Dinner tonight will be a light salad with tuna, as I'm very comfortably full now and won't want a lot later. I love days like this, when I can really ENJOY my food and yet still keep on track and feel accomplished.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the well-wishes, I'm feeling better now.

Yesterday was my birthday. I was still getting over the stomach flu, so hadn't eaten real food for about two days. The power went out at 6:00 on Tuesday night (big wind storm) and STILL wasn't up the morning of my birthday. It was 58 degrees in my house. So I'm hungry, cold, tried from not sleeping due to freezing all night and I couldn't even take a shower before I went to work. Getting ready in the dark is NOT fun. UGH!

Thankfully, they got the power back on by the time DH and I got home. THANK GOD! Took a hot shower and went out for my b-day dinner. (first real meal since getting sick...still stuck to crackers all day at work because my stomach felt iffy.) At that point though, I didn't care if I threw it up later. I was cranky and it was my birthday, after all!! It stayed down though! I had steak and broiled shrimp. Then they came out with a free piece of cheesecake for my b-day. DH and I shared it :)

Well, lots of stuff to do as we have company coming over for the weekend and our Halloween party on Saturday. Going to see how WI goes tomorrow. Not sure if I will gain or lose by Monday after the Halloween party, lol.

Sorry I haven't done personals in a while, but I do read your posts! Good luck to all for this final push, and congrats to those of you who already made it!

fruitlady 10-28-2010 09:26 PM

jiggle- My sister in law said I looked anorexic too, it hurt my feelings. Some people just can't get used to the new you. It takes a while, don't let it stop you from getting to your goal! You look great!

I don't know what is going on with my body for the past month, It has a mind of it's own. This week my calories are averaging 2000 calories less than usual for the week ( 11,500 for the week), and I'm weighing more. Doesn't make sense to me, I had 2 days that I ate over my calories limit, but the rest were fine, I still am going to be at less calories for the week. Also, I finally got my period for the first time in 11mo. Why? I don't know what I did different, I thought it was menopause. Guess not

rainbowstripe 10-28-2010 09:39 PM

jiggle I'm sorry about what your friend said - people often say things without thinking and that just seems like one of those occasions. I think you look lovely and healthy!

sandcar Hope you have a fun (busy) weekend! Good luck for the last few days of the challenge!

jaylei Thanks! I love that I can just go and get an hour of exercise done without having to worry about it! Well done on keeping your food and calories tracked and awesome and on being in the middle of your goal!

jules Isn't that accomplished feeling just so so awesome!? Go you for eating out and staying on track! I always feel pretty awesome when I do that hah!

Northern Happy Birthday!!!!! I hope you had a good time despite only just feeling better! Sounds like a pretty good dinner! Hope your Halloween party is fun!

~I have had another small loss, which is great! I'm down to 73.6kg/162.2pounds, which is 0.6kg/1.3 pounds away from my goal for November 1st! It's actually possible I'll lose it, considering I always seem to have my losses at the end of the week - then again, TOM just started so that could mess things around. Either way I feel pretty good, and am going to keep on track to see how close I can get to my goal!
I do have a small Halloween box of See's Candy chocolates that my mum brought me back from her trip to America at the beginning of the month, and it has 2.5 servings of 220 calories each - and yes, I do intend to eat some of that chocolate! I'll share it with my boyfriend and maybe his parents - or I'll eat it slowly over the next week or two as treats. But it's not going to waste, it is a treat that I can't get here and I don't buy boxes of chocolates anyway!
Exercise is on track with two awesome achievements this week, first, 30 minutes of nonstop jogging on the treadmill (my previous record was 20) and then I did 35 minutes the next day! It may not be much to some people but it's amazing for me to keep up a pace like that for a prolonged period of time. I felt amazing, and still feel pretty good about myself and my improving fitness!

Good luck everyone for the last few days of the challenge!!

NorthernExposure 10-29-2010 09:48 AM

Good morning..

Well, I am exactly the same weight as last week. I think my body is just trying to regulate...overate some over my long weekend in Kansas, then got sick and lived off crackers and soda for 2 1/2 days (yep, all empty carbs!), then ate a big birthday dinner Wednesday...haven't been exercising. I guess I'm happy enough to not have gained, and just REALLY glad to be healthy again!

No way I'm going to make 199 by Monday, but I will get there sooner than later. Definitely ready for the next challenge and getting back into my regular routine after Halloween weekend is over!

Rainbow: thanks for the b-day wishes. Congrats on the loss!

Julesp: Isn't it great when you can eat healthy AND feel satisfied?

Fruitlady: I think we've all felt the same frustrations...you do everything right but the scale just doesn't want to cooperate! The body is a weird thing sometimes.

JayLei: hope you had fun at Zumba!

Sandcar: hope you're having a great Halloween weekend!

Everyone else: Have a GREAT weekend. Good luck to everyone who is close to goal...you can do it!!

julesp313 10-29-2010 07:28 PM

Today is a challenge. I worked from home so I have unrestricted access to the fridge! But so far, it's been good - I'm staying on track. The weekends are by far the hardest for me with overeating and the weekend starts on Friday if I'm not careful...

Rainbow - I love See's Candy. I never buy it but my mother-in-law has it every holiday so if DH and I visit, I end up indulging. However I make sure I only eat my absolute favorites and truly savor them - but man, it's good chocolate!

Northern - it's a rare feeling to be on plan, eat well, and eat with satisfaction so I'm for sure enjoying it! :)

fruitlady 10-29-2010 09:06 PM

Well, my weight stayed the same, it seems like I am stuck, even though I'm eating the same foods, calories & exercising as always. Calories were fine again today at 1290. I don't get it!

Lori259 10-30-2010 02:23 PM

Be back for another check in later ~just wanted to say I hope everyone is having a super saturday~I am on my way to the store up town that has all new with tags stuff for cheap to christmas shop~Hoping they have some goodies in there..Will do personals later <3 Ya'll!

memoree 10-30-2010 03:37 PM

sorry I am new and haven't been so active on here this past week. I had back issues and they are in full force this week. I haven't been able to work out at all because of the pain. I have stuck to my diet though so hopefully I'll see a loss tomorrow (Sunday is my weigh in day)

Congrats to all who have made goal! We all know how hard it is. And to those who are just about there, you CAN do it! :)

fruitlady 10-30-2010 04:47 PM

Finally losing some weight, lost 1.3 lbs. Not losing near as fast as I usually do, my body is screwed up. Also, no matter how hard i try, I can't get down to 104, 105, even 106 anymore. Is it possible your body chooses a healthy weight that your supposed to be at after maintaining for a while?? I do have TOM right now, it's pretty bad after not having it for 11 mo. I raised my calories back in August for maintanence, but I would still lose weight. I think that's what made it come, my calories were too low & also my fat intake (5-8g.) Everyone- Please be careful, make sure your getting all the nutrients you need. I lost my period from my calories & fat being too low daily. The only time I had more calories & fat was when I over ate once a week, but then i stricktly went back on my plan. Just be careful!

rainbowstripe 10-30-2010 08:19 PM

I copied and pasted my goals from my first post on the 12th of October to see what I met for the challenge!

So for this goal, not that far away, I'm going to aim to weigh 73kg. I am currently about 75.5, so that's a 2.5kg/5.5pound loss. I keep making my goals high because I'm working towards getting there and even if I don't quite make it, at least I'm aiming for something! Met! Got to 73kg/160.9 pounds this morning!

For a calorie goal, between now and then I'm going to try to eat no more than 1600 on days I exercise (with actual goal being around 1550) and no more than 1500 on days I don't exercise. I'm not yet sure if I should be dropping my calorie levels too much. Pretty much met this goal too. I had a few higher calorie days but I also had a few days where I was between 1200-1400 so I think it all evened out.

I'm also going to try to make sure I get the proper amount of sleep and get in exercise at least 4 days per week, for at least 20 minutes. And if it's only 20 minutes it has to be intense. I think I still need to work on getting enough sleep, and I think I did almost the exercise I planned to, maybe a little less - but I did reach some awesome jogging goals on the treadmill so I'm fairly happy

My last goal is to try to get my depression under control. Oh and to find some new basic clothes that fit as I'm now struggling with finding things to wear! The depression is an ongoing thing, but I've definitely been more proactive in trying to make my outlook on things more positive. The sunny weather we've been having is also helping a lot! As for the clothes, I got a few basic items last week so I guess I win there too haha!

Yay this challenge has been fun! I look forward to the next CC Challenge and setting myself some more goals! Well done ladies!

Good Morning all! These days sure has been busy for me cant seem to have time to come and post. Been cold the last 2 days here but been pretty. I do alot of working out at the gym. I stay there about 4 hours. Work out on the tredmill first and last friday got up to 18 minutes on a 7.0 incline then go to the weight room and work out on 5 different machines in there. And after all that sometimes i do swim laps depending on how i feel. The last time I weighed i was 254 hope it keeps going down.
