Hey ladies

MissPriss I think seeing a doctor is a good idea if you think it is. A lot of people don't want to admit to having problems with anxiety and depression and that can make it worse. I hope you find a doctor/feel a bit better soon - I suffer from depression and I know what it's like - especially with the comfort food thing! I think that's why I used to eat so many fries - and now I can't.

I hope everyone else is doing well!

I know now I won't make my Columbus Day weight goal but I had other goals and they are still going fairly well so I'm just going to keep going for the last few days (and beyond of course!)! However I have reached a milestone of sorts! I have now lost 20 pounds since July 19th! I feel like it's a bit slow...but I think it's ok?

westernsoutherngirl 10-08-2010 10:16 AM

Misspriss - sending hugs your way! Hang in there and know there are lots of chicks here sending good thoughts your way! Do what you have to do to take care of this and yourself!

Be back later to report weigh in!
Have a great day everybody!

Well, my WI was about as expected, no loss. TOM is due to start any minute now and the timing is bad for post-TOM whoosh by Monday. I WILL make my goal, just probably a little late. Better late than never, right?? I've had ONEderland in my sites for a while now, and it just seems to be taking FOREVER to get there! Oh well...it will happen!!

Rainbow: 20 lbs in less than 3 months is great, especially at your weight. Before I took my summer "break", I was losing about 10/lbs a month, but of course I was much heavier and the weight just comes off easier at that point. I got back fully OP in late August but the weight is coming off slower now than it did before summer. I have only lost 6 lbs since we ended the Labor Day challenge. I suppose I should start thinking about lowering my calories now...but I'm really satisfied (hunger-wise) with the level I'm currently at (1500-1700 range.) Maybe next week I'll try a 1400-1600 range. I want to see that 1xx on my scale!

jigglefree 10-08-2010 10:55 AM

I was up until about 2am because my husband downloaded some type of Trojan spy ware and it was a BEAST!!:tantrum: I think I got it though. If you get any message while online and it says Antispy Safeguard...JUST SAY NO!! So I'm really tired, I've been up since 6 trying to make sure all is well...between dropping him off at work and getting my daughter ready and dropping her off. I just ate breakfast and I think I need a nap. :dizzy:

On another note: I saw a infomercial this morning for the 6 week body makeover. I surfed the web to see what my body type was according to the 6wbmo and I'm a type b. Well I hunted down a suggested meal plan for my body type and the calorie count for the day was 700...700:rofl:I would STARVE!!! If the 1200 calories when I started caused withdrawals what would 700 do to me?? I see how people loose all that weight so fast but I will choose the rate I'm at right now. Slowly but surely because I noticed that a few people that couldn't do it for a lifetime gained the weight back quickly. It was very restrictive as well. The thing I can do is eat more lean protein and complex carbs...ie brown rice. Which I love. They also suggest that you drink 100 oz of water which I'm doing most of the time. I will be pushing to drink that 100 oz daily.

I have decided to get a scale...I will try to limit my weighing weekly when I measure. I may not report my weight but maybe pounds lost. I found out something about myself that may cause me to forgo the scale though. Like when I found out that I lost a pound in the week with the doctor, I felt like it was okay to eat...odd since my goal is to lose weight. I thrive on downsizing...LOL

I'm overly chatty and sleepy. So I will come back after my nap and do personals. Hope everyone is having a great day.

westernsoutherngirl 10-08-2010 11:45 AM

Okay back after weigh in: 163! Yay! No decimal point!

Good luck everybody!

ElizabethG 10-08-2010 12:31 PM

I didn't do an official weigh in Wednesday because it was my time of the month and i was up. It ended yesterday so I thought I'd see where I was today. Well I am down almost a pound a half!!! 201.2! I should probably wait til Monday before confirming this, but I'm so excited. I'm sooo close to 199!
:carrot:

priss- my husband has had social anxiety & bouts of depression for 25 yrs. He never wanted to go to a doctor, so he suffered all this time. Now in his 40's, he his finally starting to go out with us more. The more you face it, the better it will get. Please do get help, don't let your life pass you by.

I had 1060 cal. today, really not hungry at all. I had to take Advil last night, I had a killer sinus headache. Everytime I take it, I hold on to water, so i actually gained 2 ounces. To top it off, it didn't even help me feel better. That sucks! I've been doing really well with my calories, but can't seem to lose weight. So my goal is now 106lbs, instead of 105. Might be an easier weight to maintain at. Good luck to us all!

misspriss78 10-09-2010 10:33 AM

Wow, i had no idea so many had commented on my post the other day. Thank you for making me feel so special:hug: :)

Im doing better today. Still deciding on getting medication, my DH wants me to try herbs instead. Im considering my choices right now.

So yesterday i had a great workout. Did heavy lifting legs (4 day split legs premix w/Cathe Friedrich) Then did a very fun step aerobics dvd (lowmax, another of Cathe's) burned 670 calories all together. My eating was pretty good, for the most part all clean meals!!! Im not counting cals right now just estimating...i don't want to put too much pressure on myself but its going well:) Just doing the best i can.

Today i plan on walking the dog for at least 30minutes then doing some core work + step aerobics. I purchased a new step aeroibs download by Cathe yesterday and it looks really fun. Tricky, but fun:) Im sure it will take me a few times to get the choreograph down.

FruitLady-did you get my PM? Sorry to hear about you DH's struggle with SA. That must be so hard to deal with. Great job on your eating girl!

ElizabethG-WTG on your weight loss, thats fantastic!!! Great job!

Westernsoutherngirl-Yay on 163 with no decimal point. No decimal point means alot to us!!!

Jiggle-I would be eating the furniture @ 700 calories  As a matter of fact i was eating over twice that much and losing. I can't even imagine all the things that the body goes through with such a low calorie count. Its very sad to see people eating that low:( Glad you decided against it. Yay on getting a scale but i agree, whenever i see it going down i feel like i should award myself with food? WTH? Thats one of my problems now. Weighing is a bad habit for me, I wish i had the guts to just put the thing up for a whole month :o

rainbowstripe-20lbs gone since July 19th is GREAT!!!!! Thats a nice weight loss...you go girl:)! Keep up the good work!

1travelchick- I totally agree with you on the sunlight, luckily i walk my doggie for at least 30mins a day and its still pretty here in GA. Nothing like the sunlight to lift spirits! Have a great day today:)

Lori-you crack me up-Im not sure if being in a juicy, sweet pineapple is the best place for me;) teehee. But im no longer under my rock....:hug:to you and congrats on your new low. You continue to inspire me. I thought about you yesterday while shopping at my favorite consignment shop, they had a 50% off sale and i was SO EXCITED TO BE THERE. I thought I bet Lori would love to be in here digging through all these nice clothes with me  I ended up spending 22.50 for lots clothes for my kids and a nice button up shirt for DH. I was tired by that time and quit looking for me (besides, i need a new pair of workout shoes so i figure i would keep $ for that). Have a good day today!

Hello to anyone I missed! And thanks again everybody..you guys are great!:) Have a good weekend!

NorthernExposure 10-09-2010 10:42 AM

Glad to see you're doing better, priss!! Hope you find something that works for you real soon. Just make sure the doc doesn't tell you to exercise more, lol! You're doing GREAT there, very inspiring!

I've got a lot of cleaning to do today...including the RV....we are winterizing it and tarping it up for the season soon :( It is a another beautiful day out though, so I think I'll take the dog for a walk later.

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

jigglefree 10-09-2010 05:37 PM

Hello ladies,
I didn't get the spy ware off so I had to restore it back to factory settings. I have to login from my iPod touch to check in. I will need to get some protection for my computer befor I get on the net. I'm very frustrated.

I did 2 miles on the treadmill today. I'm also on track for 1300 calories today as long as I don't have a meltdown.

Misspriss - Does your husband have EAP benefits at his job? They usually allow the spouse use them and you can get 4-6 free visits. But see someone.
Northern - I think as long as you aren't going up you have something to be happy about...although it is frustrating when things slow down...I so feel you!!
Lori - I'm going to take your advice and keep walking. I also have been using the weights to keep toning. You are so great...much love. I will say this, my 2 yr old leans on me with it hurts because th cushion is diminishing.

For those of you that were plus sized did you get cold more when the weight came off?

Have a great day and let's prepare for the upcoming Challenge!!

fruitlady 10-09-2010 05:45 PM

priss- Sent you a message, I know what your going through. Don't hesitate to message me if you have any other questions. I'm just happy to help.

Had 1600 cal. today. We went to the farmer's market in Kutztown again, everytime I go there, it makes me want to eat. I always buy candy, i stayed away from chocolate this time and got gummy & jelly candy instead( no fat). That's why my calories are higher, but still within my range. Just a little of everything was enough, it didn't lead me to over eat like usual. Not ready to feel sick again I quess. I did have a 3 lb. woosh finally! Good luck to us all!

rainbowstripe 10-09-2010 07:58 PM

Still dropping a little, it's nice. 75.5kg/166.4pounds this morning. I went out last night and got some nice compliments from friends I hadn't seen since about a week after I started my new lifestyle. It's funny how people avoid talking about weight, but they'll still say nice things. They are close friends so I asked them if they were saying I was looking really good just in general or whether they'd noticed I'd lost weight - I wanted to know! They said that they could tell I'd lost weight but it was also the fact that I seemed a lot healthier and had a "glow" of some sort. It was nice to have it noticed anyway.

I'm sticking with eating the right amounts of calories although some of my choices have been pretty dubious - had a few alcoholic drinks last night and wanted a snack when I came home so had a couple of oven-baked vegetarian samosas. They're too tasty. They fit in calories, but I don't think they're offering me much in terms of nutritional benefits.

I'm also getting lax on the exercise, especially this weekend. My energy is fairly low which I'm sure is a result of this annoying depression that seems to be creeping back into my life. I hate it. I hate feeling low and unhappy when I have nothing real to be unhappy about. Urgh.

Sorry for the whine, hope you ladies are having good weekends! Thanks for all the support and encouragement on my loss so far...you always wonder if you're "doing it right" when really it doesn't matter as long as you're doing it!

NorthernExposure 10-10-2010 10:05 AM

Just a quickie as I have a bunch of stuff to get done today...but just wanted to let you guys know I MADE MY GOAL! Someone cue up Bon Jovi "Woah-oh, we're halfway there..." LOL!

I was going to wait until tomorrow to WI, but I didn't think I'd have time just because it's gonig to be Monday morning (I weigh on my wii Fit, which takes a little time...I don't own a regular scale right now because I know I'd get scale obsessed.) Anyway, I'm right in the middle of TOM, so I wasn't expecting much. But the darn thing said 205.5--on the button!

So I know I'm cheating a bit on my ticker as I usually round up, but I thought I'd give myself the "extra credit" today since tomorrow is the end of the challenge and I'm still on TOM...so I'm also guessing at least a 1/2 lb of water weight will come off when it's over. (I know there are tickers that have decimal points, but the ones on 3FC are just easier for me to get to, lol.)

I will try to come back later to do personals...have a great Sunday, ladies!

rainbowstripe 10-10-2010 04:58 PM

Congratulations NorthernExposure!! Awesome job!!

It's the 11th here, I'm 1.2 (ish) kilograms/about 2.6 pounds off my goal. No worries! I'll make it there next week probably! I wish I was as happy as the exclamation marks make my sentence look haha.
