Hey guys,

Sorry, been MIA most of this week...eek! I have been doing better with my exercise and am hopefully getting back in the habit.

WI was decent, down about 3 lbs since last WI sept. 1. I'm sure my Colorado trip had something to do with the slowish loss, but I am pretty happy with it. My ticker says 211, but it's really 211.4 (I round up at the .5 mark.) So....that means about 6 more lbs to my goal. 2 lbs a week. This is do-able, people! I am motivated!!

Jiggle: better to cheat yourself out of a little water than to over-indulge in certain adult beverages that other people drink when they're mad! Hope he comes crawling back apologizing soon :)

Fruitlady Give it a try! I usually allow for 1 or 2 higher calorie days a week and just make up for it elsewhere. At my size, I really can't afford to go over maitenance much...but if I go over my comfortable "upper limit", once in a while, I don't beat myself up over it. Over the course of the week, I don't think it makes a difference either way, as long as my overall calories are where they should be. A lot of people think "zig zagging" works better than taking in the exact same amount every day. Let us know how it goes for you!

love Went back to read some of the older threads since I was last here....sorry to see you're leaving us for this challenge, but look forward to seeing you in the next one! I know how you feel though...I almost dropped out of the labor day challenge (pretty much did since I was never around, not to mention not doing very well!) If you're like me, it's hard to say you're doing a "challenge", when you're not giving it your all. We all need a break once in a while...you'll come back stronger than ever!

I walked for two hours today around Coronado. It was absolutely beautiful. And so far I've had 65 oz of water and my calories are on track. Today has been a very good day. :carrot:

I thought I'd better go back to the first page to remind myself of what my actual goals for this challenge were, so I copy/pasted them into here:

1650-1700 calories on exercise days
1500-1550 calories on non-exercise days
Lose 3.5kg/7.7pounds

Somehow in my mind I took that to mean "try to stay around 1500-1550 calories every day" - I don't know how I skewed that in my head haha, but it seems to be working?
My SW for this challenge: 78kg / 171.9 pounds
My GW for this challenge: 74.5kg / 164.2 pounds
My current weight as of 19 September: 77kg / 169.7 pounds

So - I'm on track with calories. I had a planned slightly higher day on Friday - involved going out for dinner and a couple of drinks with some friends. I was really proud of myself to sticking to what I'd planned to order for both food and alcoholic drinks.

Have been on track all weekend and am looking forward to exercising tomorrow and the new week - it looks like everyone else is doing pretty well too!

Jelbelle Sorry to hear about your bike! How frustrating!

NorthernExposure- I am gonna try it for a while, I've been naturally doing it for the last 5 days, not on purpose and so far it's working. Thanks!

Today was a higher calorie day, i had 2445 calories. Now tomorrow I'll go up to 1300 cal. , if my weight doesn't go up I'll do 2000. I have been very active lately, i noticed I can go up to 3400 on my higher day. Today wasn't that bad, so I might not even gain. Eating low sodium foods is key for me on my higher days, also I eat mostly in the day, nothing after 4:30pm. This is really working so far to maintain, my weight goes up a little( 8 oz.) after my higher calorie days, then I lose the 8 oz. after a lower calorie day. So, I'm staying between 105.8 & 106.8 , I feel like I'm really indulging every other day, it's getting hard to eat all those calories. When I'm not as active in the winter, I won't have to have as many calories on my higher days. Good luck to all!!

rainbowstripe-- ooh yes >.< it was really annoying =/ but managed to get it fixed today thanks to my family handyman =p

Had an extraordinarilly busy day, on my feet nearly the whole time! But still managed to get everything done, I'm very impressed with myself!

Morning,

Today will be a full body weight workout.

Im a little frustrated right now with the scale. I didn't lose anything last week and this week only a pound. Kinda confused about why its coming off so slow? 2lbs a month isn't what i had in mindhttp://cathe.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif My moms personal trainer told me to bring my calories up a little since i workout a lot.(he looked at my food diary) I may try that...anyways...bbl

I am finally posting...Although in a hurry ~I introduced my daughter into facebook & she is glue So I am limited with my time on here....Amelia~I went down to 2 to 3 pounds a month myself & it sooo sucks.....I do believe when u up your calories it helps when u exercise alot I tried it once & It helped. But I have trouble eating over my 1400 a day I am trying to up them to maintain my weight number...I am not having the best of luck...I eat good & get full easy now...UGH~I just do not wanna get to skinny...I still could lose a few pounds fromt he belly though so If I still lose its ok I guess...ANYWAYS COME ON 160's for u!! U So derserve them.

Been a few days.....
 
but I am feeling more positive every day! The scale finally moved - YAY! I was down two pounds this morning FINALLY! Lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks, although I do know that things will slow down. Am still hoping to be in Onederland by CC Day....optimistic, yes but with keeping my calorie count under 1200 a day and walking at least two miles it just might be in reach! Love reading everyone's posts - so inspirational! Keep up the good work everyone! :carrot::carrot:

Hello everyone!

Today was a lower calorie day, I had 1400 cal. My weight only went up 3 oz. from my higher calorie day yesterday, so I went up to 1400 to compensate. I think i got this maintaining thing figured out. It only took about a year!

Good evening well the scales is not being good today for me but i'm hoping TOPS scales will be better. :crossed: I went over my calorie intake today i try to stay under 1200 but as of right now i ve intake 1556. It my time to get back on track and quit playing around. Cant wait to get to the gym in the morning.:swim: Just hope I feel up to it. My blood presure was up again last night so bed rest for the last 24 hrs. hope I can sleep tonight. Hope everyone has a good week. Oh no hubby takes me out wenesday to eat for my birthday i'm in trouble they have a very good buffet with everything on it.
