Shylah - come on, give the TSP's a try, you might be surprised! It's a great motivational tool.

MissPriss- Thanks for the compliment! I'm glad to know I'm not the only squishy one around here! I kind of like it when the squishies come because I know it's only a matter of time till I can fit in smaller clothes!

Did I tell y'all the story of the jean shorts before I left for the cruise? I looked and looked for some jean shorts that weren't too short and weren't too long, I had the hardest time finding many in the regular misses sizes. Anyhow, I looked at lots of stores and finally found a pair at WalMart! I was in a hurry that night and grabbed a size 12. Well, they were just too tight to wear in public, but they were just perfect in length and style. So I thought I'd just go get a size 14 for the cruise and keep the 12's for a while later. I looked at several WalMarts and no 14's to be found - ugh! I finally found some 14's at a WalMart about an hour away. Well, they're really saggy! I'm shocked at such a big difference between sizes. All that to say the size 12 ones are my next goal piece. I hope to be in them really soon.

Hubby wanted Tacos tonight, so I tried the Fresco Taco from Taco Bell. It was good, it makes me wonder how accurate they are on the calories, it was too good I think. I'm low on calories today anyhow, so if it was higher than it listed (150 per taco) I think I'll be ok. I'd been wanting to try them for a long while. It cured my Mexican food craving, I think.

Ok, off to get things done a bit around here. Y'all are quiet this evening.

jigglefree 07-02-2010 10:20 PM

Shylah - Put those jeans on. When I first got them I was sure they wouldn't fit. I got in them and was able to close them. If you try them on and they don't fit you will at least know where you are, but I bet you'll be surprised at how close you are to fitting them.
Susie - It's really interesting how clothes are made and it's also very frustrating. I would just like to get a brand that will maintain a consistency with sizing. Walmart clothes usually run small to me so I wouldn't shop there. I have a size 14 goal outfit...jeans and tshirt. Can't wait til I can wear them and they look like they belong to me.

I feel really good about my progress for this challenge. I may have missed my days of workout or water but I feel good about it. Getting pumped about the next challenge. Getting from 16 to 14 seems to be taking a lot longer than I anticipated. Hopefully it doesn't take three months to get there.

Hi ladies. Sorry I have been MIA. I flew in to the states on Wednesday night. What an experience! 25 hours of flights and delays. I finally made it to Florida at 1am on Thursday. My family all suprised me at the airport. It was definitely my own biggest loser moment. They were shocked by my appearance.

I went shopping on Friday and bought some new capris and a couple shirts. I can't believe that I now have clothes that actually fit me! It feels great. Before starting my journey when I lived in Korea I was a size 32 bottom, and a size 26/28 top. Now....drumroll please...........I'm a size 22 bottom, and a size 14/16 top.

WHAT!!!!!

Haha. I'm feeling great. I've been able to stay on top of my calories everyday even though my family doesn't eat very great. I bought some fruits and veggies to keep in the hotel with me to snack on. I have made healthy choices when going to restaurants. I'm doing really good! I'm excited to order my Go Wear Fit once I return to Phoenix next week.

I'm going to weigh in on my sister's scale tomorrow morning. Not sure what kind of loss I will have to show, but either way I'm happy because I'm feeling great and I'm staying on plan!!

jigglefree 07-03-2010 06:55 AM

:cheer2::cheer3: YAY Shan!!! That is so wonderful. I'm looking forward to hearing about all the fun you are having with your family. Enjoy your stay!!

I'm going to get my hair done today. If I like it I'll post pics...if not you all will see my face after the Labor Day challenge. :D When I'm in a size 14.

Shylah - Did you try on the TSPs yet???

Well I gotta get going so I can finish cleaning and get ready for the stylist.

susieyarb 07-03-2010 02:38 PM

Shan! Welcome home to the USA and wowzers! Way to go on getting into those smaller sizes. I'll bet you feel great wearing clothes that FIT! It sounds like your doing great food wise too.

Shylah- put on the TSP's woman!

Jiggle- I feel like WalMart clothes are usually way wacky on sizing too, but that is the ONLY place I found shorts I loved and I looked EVERYWHERE! I can't wait to see your new hair-do!

I weighed in on the wacky schizo bathroom scale this morning and it says I'm down to 184.8 (I won't change tickers till the official weigh in tomorrow)!!!! I'll be goodie-two-shoes today and wouldn't it be awesome if my WiiFit says 183.something tomorrow morning!!!! That would be a MIRACLE!! The weird thing is I haven't done a lick of exercise since being home from vacation. With sicky kids and me feeling under the weather, I just haven't had it in me but I've been steadily dropping weight. It makes me re-think my calorie to exercise ratio. I've been staying right around 1400 calorie wise and dropping consistantly all week with no exercise. I may have to tweak a bit when I start exercising again! I'm losing way quicker than I was eating 1600-ish and exercising like a mad woman!! Weird!

I know it goes against everything most people think, but I can't wait to weigh in tomorrow morning "officially" on the WiiFit. I've only been weighing on the Psycho bathroom scale since we got home from vacation. I also look forward to measuring myself and trying on my goal pieces!!

OH MY GOODNESS! I totally forgot alllll about one of my goal pieces and it works right out for fourth of July! It's a Ralph Lauren skirt I wore on my honeymoon. I know that was 15 years ago, but it's classic red/white/blue plaid, a little short wrap skirt. I was really close to it fitting last month on June 4. I can wear it tomorrow afternoon if it fits! If it fits, I'll take a pic. Y'all can tell me true if you think it's way too outdated. I'm not going anywhere tomorrow afternoon, just staying home, so even if I'm out of style I'll feel cute in my honeymoon skirt LOL.

Ok, I'll run now. Y'all have a great weekend!!

fruitlady 07-03-2010 06:46 PM

Ok, I gave higher calories a try, I gained 1.2 lbs. in 3 days, very gradually, not sudden. Now I know I can't be eating 1500 or 1600cal. a day. I had 1485 cal. today, we'll see what happens. I think to maintain at 105 I'll have to have 1350 cal. a day, I'm going to start with that as soon as I get back down to my goal of 105lbs. I'll never make it for the challenge, can't wait for the next challenge!

ShylahEQ 07-03-2010 09:59 PM

Sorry ladies I am here. Had a VERY busy day since I first posted.

I tried on the TSP's and they don't button, but I didn't care because they actually went all the way up my booty. Of course they are tight everywhere, but they went up over my butt.

haha I love it. The first time ever pants didn't button and I didn't care :p

They are now hanging on the outside of my armoire. I WILL get into these pants.

susieyarb 07-04-2010 08:17 AM

Woooo Hooo Shylah! That's great, didn't it feel awesome?! Yes, my dear, they definitely will button and sooner than you think!

susieyarb 07-04-2010 08:39 AM

Happy with my challenge results!

Happy Birthday America! And good morning challenge friends!

I did not reach my goal of 183 but I'm really happy to report that I weighed in this morning at 184.5.

I'm pleased with that after my gain on the cruise. Plus, I finally went over that 185 hump that was tormenting me!

Come on Labor Day challenge - it'll take me to my goal!!

ETA: I just took my measurements and I lost a total of 2.5 over the past month. Of that, 1/2 inch off my waist and .75 off my hips. I was a bit disappointed in that, but I guess as I get smaller, the numbers won't be as big as they were when I was bigger.

ETA#2: I just tried on my goal size 10 jean capris and they came all the way up and buttoned!! Of course they're still skin tight and zipping is out of the question. 3FC is giving me a fit about adding a pic :O( I am also wearing my size 12 skirt from my honeymoon, its way high waisted and not a bit of stretch, I do love our 2010 stretch fabrics, y'all! But it fits. I probably wouldn't wear it out and about, but I'll wear it today to celebrate July 4th at home! Have a great day everyone!!

NorthernExposure 07-04-2010 10:06 AM

Hey guys...

Been MIA again, just so busy having fun in the summer :)

Unfortunately, I've been slacking off a bit with my counting/exercise lately, so I didn't quite meet my goal today. I haven't gained since last time, so I guess I can't complain too much given my slack-age...still holding at 220.

Hope everyone in the US is having a wonderful holiday! And to those of you who are serving, who have served or have loved ones serving, THANK YOU!!

susieyarb 07-04-2010 10:34 AM

Glad you checked in Northern. At least you haven't gained and you can start with new gusto on the next challenge!

jigglefree 07-04-2010 11:07 AM

YAY!!! I tried my goal size 14 jeans and they look better. I was able to close them and my stomach wasn't in my bra this time. I said a muffin top would be okay, so I made my goal. I'm confident I will make my bday goal of size 14 as long as I stay on task. For sure I will be doing a lot of running this month.

Shylah - I am so glad you tried them on!! It's an awesome feeling huh? Trust me it won't be long!! I'm so excited for you :carrot: :carrot:!! Keep going :D

Susie - You did a great job only missing goal by little over a pound considering you went on a cruise :D!! With it being travel and cookout season we are doing a wonderful job!!

Northern - I am way proud of you holding steady with you have had going on this summer. Alot of people would have quit and started over after the summer is over only to have more to loose! So just be proud!!

Let's get mentally prepared for the next challenge and push hard through the rest of the summer! Longer challenges are more difficult for me because I have more time I tend to slack off. I will have to be more aggressive with my goals that will require 100 percent effort.

Lori259 07-04-2010 11:56 AM

Congrads to all & HAPPY 4th Of July!!!

Northern ~U will make progress this next challenge & as susie & jiggle says at least u didn't gain u maintained! Thats an accomplisment in itself!

I am spending the day with the kids the hubby so I started the Labor day challenge A little earlier than I usually get to do ~So just click below to get to it!! I will try to check in from time to time if possible~HUGS*

Heres the way to the new challenge:

KDM322 07-04-2010 05:00 PM

well, bad news here...I did NOT maintain as I had challenged myself to do!! Nor, did I get my exercise in!!! It's all my fault and I'm not going to sulk over it! I weighed in today at 173.0...technically only 2.2 over my "170.something" goal...

I was good the very first week...exercised AND in my calorie range...then went to the conference, didn't exercise, but stayed pretty good w/eating...came back to "real life" for a week and was right back OP and got back down to 169.something...but then came beach week...yes, I'm extremely proud that I actually exercised while on vacation, but I TOTALLY OVER ATE!!! and since I didn't watch closely on vaca, then this week has been really hard gettin back OP...I haven't wanted to exercise OR eat right! but tomorrow is a new day and I'm gonna try my darnedest to get back OP!

CONGRATS TO ALL YOU GALS WHO MADE GOAL!!! You guys ROCK!!!

Northern--good job maintaining! Wish I could've done the same!!!

Jiggle--Can't wait to see the new "Do"!!! And keep up the good work!!
