  • Hey ladies!!
Tomorrow is my try on the TSPs day and I'm excited. I'm sure they should fit well enough to wear out with the girls. I will let you know. I got 3 liters of water in but it took all day. A friend of mine come over to visit last night and she was there a while so I told she would have to watch me workout because I had to get it done. So I did. She hadn't seen me since before the New Year and was impressed with my progress!! She kept saying, "You look so thin"! It felt good because she can be hard on me. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone post their progress for the first week of the Challenge!!
Lori - I love it. I think you are looking FAB!! I showed my friend your before and after pictures and it blew her away. She couldn't believe how different you look in your after pictures. Congrats on your progress!! Keep up the good work.
Shylah - I thought about you when I was looking at the TSPs debating with myself if I should try them on or not. I didn't!! I know you said you would be trying to get into an 18 but that's where I was, "Trying to get into and 18" when Susie sent them to me. Think about it!!
Aluxa - That is a beautiful garden!!
Farn - That is great news about your mom. I am proud of you for making sure you were there for her. Congrats on the whoosh!!
Sugar - Glad you heard from your husband. That had to be so stressful but the relief is just as intense, I'm sure. I will be praying that he has a safe return also.

One week down. If you count seven days as the week. I feel great.
We are doing good so far so let's keep eating on plan and moving our bodies for maximum results. Do what you love but get it done!!

Here's a little something for you if you are having a bit of a struggle...
  • Hope everyone is having a fabulous Friday! Can't complain here. Short day at the office. Struggled a little yesterday. They did 3 biopsies and after that I just did not feel like working out so I didn't. But in the middle of all that I did have a small nsv. My sisters bf made homemade Mac and cheese and I only had the tiniest taste of it and man it was good!!!! But I know how I would have felt if I ate more. Now I just have to stay away from it when I get home.

jiggles just wanted to throw a thanks your way. You are so uplifting and motivating!!!

Sorry for any typos. I'm avoiding work and am sending this from my BB. Lol. Come on 2 o'clock.
  • Good Morning Ladies!!

I did good yesterday calories wise. I definetly need to bump up the exercise though. I LOVE doing work out DVDs at home. Does anyone have any suggestions on DVDs that also use free weights? I tend to use my Netflix account to order workout DVDs that way if I dont like them, I didnt pay to buy it, I can just send it back and get the next DVD on my list.

Hope everyone has an Awseome Friday!!!
  • No treadmill today, rough night. Arm was so sore I ended up going to the doctor this morning. 2 torn tendons in my arm / shoulder. HOW? i don't know. All I do is get on my treadmill lol Gonna try it tomorrow if I'm feeling any better, the jogging / rocking motion is killer. I really need another day this week to stick to my challenge of 3x a week.

I REALLY want to start 30DS too. ugh ugh ugh!

Jiggle - the pants are enticing! I'm currently in a stall at the moment though, I'd hate to hold it up. BUT, I'll be next after someone else
  • Lori: They are boxwood shrubs. The picture is from last summer, and they grow a lot last year so although they were trimmed, they were not in their best shape lol. I cannot plant those flowers until next week because of NJ weather, but that is how my garden will look next week. How are you feeling with the spring weather and your new medications?

Jiggle: for your kind words for your achievements, it feels great when someone notice our efforts! And I agree with beachlover you are uplifting and motivating for us. for that too!

Here it is my update for this week. I’m under my first goal weight for this challenge, so I’m ready to work for the 160! 165 was a small goal but after not losing weight last week, it did not look that small! Thanks to all of you for your support and motivation.
    Sw: 167.4
    Cw: 164.4
    Gw1: 165 (done)
    Gw2: 160 (4.4 to go)
    WL: 3.4
  • Hey Everyone.

This has been such an intense week. I was on vacation last weekend and overate (or rather, had way too many margaritas) but mostly worked that off by walking through Disney World from open to close one day, then spending all of the next day swimming (and lounging). Made my goal for the week so it wasn't too bad.

I pulled a muscle swimming on Tuesday though and am visiting my brother in California and have been unable to find some of my usual foods. No exercise other than walking up these incredible hills. I just bought a new bike yesterday and went for my first ride here and am still a little confused on what's considered acceptable since no one seems to signal. Also, I have no idea which way is North yet so my map tracker has me zig-zagging all over the place.

Anyway, I'm just trying to adjust to all the changes and have still been on track. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Oh, and my goal for this challenge is to lose 7 pounds. I'm definitely more suited for the slow and steady route.
  • HOLY MOLY!!! I did level 2 of 30DS AND IT WAS A KILLER!!!! I thought I was literally going to die!!! I hope I'm not too sore tomorrow to keep going...Jiggle you were soooo right!!

As for my measurements....not much difference...it was kind of depressing...it's weird bc I can feel the difference in my pants...maybe I measured in different places? or pulled the tape too tight last week...who knows, but there were like .25inch different in my legs and about an inch in my hips and belly...I guess I was expecting more! oh well, atleast I can tell in my clothes......

With TOM supposed to arrive any day now, I've been grazing WAAAY too much! I've been right under 1500 every day this week, but I was really wanting to stay closer to 1200 the first half of the month bc I know I'll be off plan when I go home next weekend...maybe this bump in calories will "trick" my metabolism and send me into a big whoosh!?!? haha there I go "wishing" again!!! haha

Hope everyone has a GREAT WEEKEND!!!
  • Quote: Fitin10--sounds like you are at the gym ALOT! GO YOU!!! how do you find that much time in the day?!?!?! I've been thinking about getting a HRM...what type do you have??
I have a sportline HRM, its fantastic once I figuered out how to get it to display the calorie burn! I go to the gym almost everyday. Sometimes at night, sometimes when my son is in school and other times I take him to the kids club there, which is fantastic!

jigglefree Good luck with your calories, its tough to be on the low end. I got my HRM from the running store where I buy tennis shoes. But the selection online is much better. I've also been looking at this thing called the fitbit, looks interesting. Also what is a TSP?

zoochick777 Congrats on the weight loss!

I am disappointed with this week. I worked so hard and only a single pound came off. I'm crossing my fingers that its due to the impending TOM, and hopefully I'll have a rockin' wi next week.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
  • I feel great today, I lost 5 lbs of water weight in 4 days which is a new record for me. That Sunday and Monday binge really made me sick, I averaged 1150 cal a day for the past three days which 100 cal. higher than normal for me. I am a walker, I've been taking 40 min a day( everyday) power walks for the past year and two months ago I started including some jogging in w/ my walks. That really torches the calories, so I noticed I'm a little more hungry. I can lose weight alot faster now when I overeat, I gained much more muscle in my legs which really helps. Today I had 1160 cal., I can't wait to see what the scale reads tomorrow.
  • Just wanted to check in and say I am still here, still on plan. It's been a quiet week here, so I don't really have much else to report on.
  • Jiggle~Have I ever said haow much I adore ya baby girl?THAT MADE MY DAY!
    THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH & its nearing my "tom" So I am back up to 157.2 again today~UGH!
I usually drop a few pounds though once I start it.~so nothing new much for me to report for the week~OTHER THAN I ADORE U!

aluxa~Loved it! I think boxwoods are so nice! I have none though I truly need some~LOL I wanna buy some & Create Shapes with them~such as cartoon characters & Hearts /stars ,Stuff like that! It would be art to me & so fun! I can draw cartoon characters well But wonder if I could trim them into a strub~I am so curious! hehehehe

Well Off to walk~I am so tired but gotta do it & were getting ready to get horrible storms here in OHIO So pray for us all here.~Dropping form 88 to 50 degrees in a matter of a few hours so storms are On there way! HUGS ALL TAKE CARE!
  • Lori~ hope the storms bring just enough to keep your flowers growing, and don't cause any trouble as the pass through

jiggle~ your posts are always so motivating; they help keep me going.

I have been doing very well at staying op. Since the 31st is a Mon. I am sliding my WI day to Mon. as well. I went to the track this afternoon for some exercise...I jogged 3/4 of a mile without stopping. I went REALLY SLOW (took 11 min), but I jogged the whole way. I have never jogged continuously for that distance or time. I am so proud of myself. I noticed that since I started jogging (about a month ago) the dimples on the back and side of my thighs are less pronounced (still there, just less noticable).

I am so greatful for all of you. I know I don't post much, but I read your posts everyday and they really help keep me moving in the right direction. Thank you all.
  • Good Morning Ladies!!

Im feeling really discouraged this morning. When I started counting calories at the end of April I decided to stay within the 1500-1700 calories range. Ive been eating between 1500 and 1600 calories most days. I take my dog on 2 15min walks a day, and I do a workout DVD everyday and the scale isnt moving. Should I drop my calories lower, to like 1300?

At my highest I weighed 215 and I went from there to 148, I didnt stay at 148 very long, Ive been maintaing in the 160's for the past 2 years. Im SO ready to get out of the 160's but it feels like I always get to 162, then TOM comes and it jumps to 164, and then it starts all over again.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the scale moving (down lol) again???
  • mkyice~All went well Stormed but bad ones was away from where i lived...Now just gonna be cold for a few days...off to get something to eat

GOOD JOB WITH JOGGING!! Bye Bye dimples!

    TTYL!
