Good Morning Ladies:

Really don't know what good about it as it raining again, and I woke up with a bad sinus infection from {headache to nasal congestion than to a sore throat}Not going anywhere today, not even to church. Can't sleep either I'm blaming it on the weather that we're having.

Well that enough about me,

PRINNY-Congrats on earning a new
penguin on your siggy and get down to 146. You're really doing fab.

Hey Beach, you inspired me to finally get my pic uploaded! Although it took me 2 days to get it to work. I finally found a size it would upload and still look ok. When I used their specs 115x150 or something like that it became a big blur!

At any rate, hello to all from me and my little dog Jack!

Hi, so I'm a new girl...

I happened upon this website while surfing for info about losing weight. I really like the how positive things are here, so I decided to sign up.

Calorie counting really is what it's all about (sorry Hokey Pokey!), and I am glad that there is an entire sub-forum for us counters. Today will be my first day to count...to REALLY count!

So good morning! and have great day!

Welcome Tanna!

Thanks Beach, he's my baby! He's a little shorkie boy. It's like having another kid, he pouts if I leave him for the weekend with my hubby or anyone else for that matter, it's too funny! The only person I think he wouldn't get mad at me is my daughter but she's usually with me if I go anywhere.

I have no idea where everyone is. Did they start a new thread and not tell us?

Hi,
Just a quick note as I'm heading in to a night meeting. I totally binged on Spicy Doritos on Monday night watching Kiera Knightly in Jane Austin film "Pride and Prejudise". I haven't treated or binged like that since I started in Jan. So, Tuesday, I just did my usual 4:45am workout and biked extra hard. To "pay the banker", I added a 4:45am workout this morning too and walked 10,000 steps (with about 2-3000 at a quick pace to get to an appointment). I've got my usual workout tomorrow. I was thinking of putting in another extra one on Friday but worry that I could exhaust myself and shut the whole system down. So, I'll let it go at that and maybe do another extra next week.

I want to have treats (or accidental binge without massive regret) but also "pay the piper" with adding in extra exercise and active living to cover it. I remember hearing someone say years ago that they'd eaten a big lunch so they were going to eat a light salad for dinner to make the balance. It was a shocker to me to realize that these things were connected. Ah, BALance. Okay, I SEE it now.

So, remembering balance, recognizing success (probably weighing in at my original dream weight of 145 on Monday), letting some things go, while keeping up the active living. Ah, right. Balance.

"Very good, Grasshopper," said the ancient teacher on the mountain. "You are learning."

Yep, that's why I like calorie counting. I feel like I can have those treats without it totally wrecking all my hard work and if I eat a little more than planned i just add some extra exercise to cover it.

BTW, GO ME! I just finished day 1 week 1 of C25K! I'm so tired and sweaty! I can't wait to download my bug and see how many calories it burned! Hopefully it burned what it feels like so i can relax the rest of the evening instead of doing something else.

Good Morning Ladies

Back to the gloomy weather again and the predicting that its going to be for the next few day ,thought the weekend and all next week. Its seems the same kind of weather is expected in NY and all the neighboring states. This time I have to go on my bike and hopefully Leo will be able to ride as well.He needs to exercise.

MELWOLFE-He sure a cutie, funny how some animals take to a special person, our kitty cat loved my DD and than my DH,after awhile she took to me.Looked no new thread anywhere. I think they change to a new thread in July. Most of them must be busy or on vacation. What C25K,never heard at that. I know from your earlier post that you mentioned the bug before.

IARADAJNOS-I like country counting also, you don't feel deprived like you do on other WOE.That true when you binge you have the means of exercising to bring the unwanted pounds off. I like calorie shifting also,so when I binge I count it as a up day and move on to the next as a low day.

Have to go out early and get the shopping done,as the US OPEN starts today& all weekend long at 10 AM.and ending tonight at 6PM.

C25k is Couch to 5K. A program I downloaded to my IPOD to help start running. It was so much fun!

Yeah, I guess they're all just busy.......oh well, things will liven up again I'm sure.

Drive out was fairly uneventful.

VERY disappointed with hotel QUOTE fitness room UNQUOTE all they have is a treadmill and an elliptical and I can't use either of those because they screw up my knees. Yeah NOT HAPPY. I have decided to not do a weigh in for several WEEKS after I get back because I know I am going to gain back some. Southern food + no working out = FAT.

Please don't suggest I go 'walk' on the treadmill because it would take HOURS of walking to do anything for me, and I don't have that kind of time. I needed a freakin BIKE so I could just do my hour a day and then go do other stuff. An hour of even fast walking on a treadmill won't do squat for me. Absolutely NO outside exercise is possible, even at night, because it is so hot and humid here. I would pass out. I can't take it.

Yes, this is going to absolutely ruin my ability to enjoy the trip at all. I thought if I could workout it would offset at least some of the crap I have to eat, which is tasty, but it's not possible to stay on plan here and do things with friends and family who all seem to want to cook for me. YOU try and tell your 85 year old Southern Grandmother 'no' to chicken and dumplings and fried green tomatoes she grew herself. GO ON! I DARE YOU! On top of that if you don't eat at least one FULL plate and some seconds she thinks you didn't like it, and it hurts her feelings. There is NO reasoning with Southern cooks, they are a force of nature.

I AM DOOMED!!!

Prinny, glad to see you got there ok though. I know what you mean about Southern cooks. I grew up in Ky. and am going back for a visit next weekend for a class reunion. I'm going to take my Wii and the workout "games" I have as well as try to get in a walk every day I'm there.

Do any of your friends or relatives have a bike you could use? Even if they aren't using it maybe you could or you could always check out yardsales and maybe get lucky, if you got it dirt dirt cheap you could leave it at your grandmas or somewhere for the next time you visit........Just a thought, may not work, but it can't hurt to try.

I think I'm just going to jump up and down on the bed for a few hours a day. It's already uncomfortable so what harm can it do?
