April Calorie Counters' Chat

Happy April everyone. Post here. And no jokes. :D

dgramie 04-01-2009 09:29 AM

my april started out with a joke on me. My alarm went off at 5 am and i hit snooze..next thing i knew it was 6;03 and my 1st kid gets here at 6. I grabbed my robe and ran downstairs just in time to open the door for them. So my day started off rough but I refuse to let it ruin my day.
THis is a new month and time to get in shape to look awesome in summer clothing.
retire- GREAT TO SEE YOU!! IM sorry about your fil. Happy about your grandson. Being a grandparent is awesome!!!I can hardly believe my grandaughter is almost 6 months old!! I hope you enjoy your visit on Easter...i know i am looking forward to seeing my little angel!!

beach bum 04-01-2009 09:43 AM

Good Morning Ladies:)

Nothing new, just going to choir practice this afternoon and food shopping this morning.

RETIREThanks for the new chat thread. I can't believe is April why is the time rushing by so fast.

DGRAMMIE-That was a joke on you this morning. I got up early also 6;15 but mother nature called ,so I had to get up. I know the children seem to being getting older as we speak my are all in school. The last one is in kindergarten.

Hope you all have a good morning, will come back later in the day

Vegaspunkermom 04-01-2009 11:33 AM

Happy April everyone!! :)

Retire - WB & Im very sorry to hear about your FIL. I hope your husband is doing well with it. When my FIL passed, my husband took it very hard, and it took awhile for him to calm down. Your grandson sounds adorable! My mom says being a Grandma is awesome, its like being a Mom with only the good moments LOL! Im sure you'll get back on track VERY soon!

Dgramie - Wow, that does sound harsh, but at least your internal clock had you up right when you needed to be, so all is well!

Beach - Thanks for the congrats!

Nicki - Thank you for the congrats as well! I hated every time I grew too small for something because Im cheap when it comes to myself. Ive been re-selling alot of items on Ebay, and saving the money for new items in my new size!

So, things are good here! I lost 1lb. yesterday, which put me at 171, and I havent W-I today yet. I hope to see 170 even and say goodbye to them forever VERY soon!

I went shopping with my best friend last night for the first time since losing the weight. It was very emotional for me. I must have cried about 3 times. I fit into size 10/11 jeans (formerly a 15/16) I bought mostly size M shirts, one was a L (formerly an XXL) and then when it came time to get a pair of spring capris, I started with a size 12, too big, went to a size 1o, too big! I finally went to an 8 and, it fit. I bought a size 8 capris! I am in total and utter shock, and aside from my best friend dancing around for me, I was crying. I did it! I fit into, and actually BELOW my goal size for the first time. I am still amazed!

retiredone 04-01-2009 04:44 PM

Well, I was up early today, too. My DS started his new job today and I wanted to make sure he had his lunch. Ha, ha. I'll always be his mommy. He's the one getting married this summer.

Thanks for the kind words about my FIL. Everyone is getting back to normal pretty well. He had been sick for almost 7 long weeks--just hanging on and lingering so his death was kind of a relief for him and us.

I think everyone loses weight in April. With new life coming up all around us there's a kind of energy that just makes me work harder. And the warmer temperatures lure everyone outside and most people get moving after a long winter.

We got new pictures of Baby last night and he's more adorable than ever. OK, just one brag per post.

CollegeGirl 04-01-2009 05:10 PM

Nothing new here for April I am really gonna try to get in four workouts a week!
Tonight I have to do study tables for my house for two hours but I am going to bring my workout clothes hit up the gym, then come back to the dorms and doo about three weeks of laundry, including spring break laudry that is still in its luggage EW. Well good luck this month ladies hopefully we will all be BIG LOSERS hehe

sassypants01 04-01-2009 06:27 PM

Hi Everyone! This is my first time posting on the Monthly chat. I'm new to Calorie counting. Only 11 days in and I'm kicking a**! I'm working out almost everyday! I did my 30 Day Shred this morning and I'm working late tonight so that will have to do for today's workout. :( Have to call the DH later to have him through my fish in the oven to be ready for me when I come home. YUM! Maybe I'll take the dog on a long walk. Hmmmmm...

Let's all keep up the fabulouso work we're doing!!

Kate :)

prinny 04-02-2009 02:07 AM

OH NO!!! ANOTHER MONTH!!!

I need to remember to pay bills this week. *sigh*

I am letting dinner digest then it's workout time for me. My TOM is coming in about a week so I am kind of afraid to weight myself due to PMS and TOM bloaties. I do not care for the bloaties, they mess me up for a week and a half a month and confuse me. BAD BLOATIES!!!

I'm going to try and be good though. Must be good. Need to get more penguins for my army!

Mollz 04-02-2009 02:57 AM

I'm kind of new to the area too, though I've posted in (and crashed) a few of the other forums before.

Seems like I've been counting calories most of my life, but never fully appreciated the frustration and rewards until I decided that I must lose weight (my 30th is coming up, I have a trip to the US to visit family for Christmas 2010, and I want to look good when I test for my black belt in karate in about a year).

Today was a cracker of a day, so I took the dog for a walk... and hour and a half later, we were both back home, tired as, but truly happy we went. I'm supposed to be studying Roman history tonight, so I need to get a move-on! :D

DH is in Melbourne Australia for the week, so I've been trying to cook for myself. I cook awesome when it's the two of us, but I can't be bothered when it's just me. Last night's "plate o vegetables" was a culinary disater. I used a sweet thai chili stir-through and added another half a chili and some garlic. Could barely eat the stuff! :flame: :flame: :flame: Tonight, it's another homemade caesar salad (only 2tbsp of dressing with HEAPS of salad, a little chicken and parmasan cheese).

Prinny- it's my TOM too. I've never had PMS while it was actually happening-- only before. But I've got new BC too. I feel like crawling into a cave and crying. :(

Sassypants: glad to hear that you're kickin' arse and takin' names. Great attitude towards it! :carrot:

Vegaspunkermom: congrats on getting into an 8. :carrot: Must feel pretty bloody amazing... I was by myself and started crying in the dressing room when I got to a 16 last month. I need to take my friends shopping more often, but they hate shopping as much as I do. :D

Retire: it's cold down here. I'm in New Zealand, so we're heading into winter. My fingers and toes are numb all the time (bad circulation-- I blame it on my mother!)

Tomorrow's going to be another beautiful day. Perfect for hanging the laundry out to dry.

nomoremcfatty 04-02-2009 03:51 AM

Sassy, I'm with you on the new front. Thanks for letting us newbies jump in on the fun over here.
Well, a quick update on me, I officially started on 3/25 and have since lost almost 3 lbs. I'm so excited. I will admit, it's hard sometimes because I see my family and friends eating whatever the heck they want and I wish I could too.
Amazingly enough I've still been able to eat out at places like Jack in the Box (love their South West Salad), Subway and sushi and still keep at or below my range.
Is it me, or do any of you feel more comfortable with eating out b/c of the portion control/nutrition information/etc. I'm so afraid to really start cooking on my own because I'm afraid that I won't be counting as accurately.
Anywho, seems like everyone is doing pretty good so far. Here's to the best April yet!

dgramie 04-02-2009 07:32 AM

Good Morning!
Calories were great yesterday. Exercise was also!! I even took my measurements and didnt get upset that my hips have increased a bit since jan. I know they will go back down now that im exercising.
hugs

blackbutterfly 04-02-2009 07:36 AM

Good Morning ladies!

I am a very happy girl today! Only 6 more lbs until Onederland! I am beside myself with happiness! This is officially the smallest I have been in 11 years :D... and Also this week we are moving into our first new home :D.. Big BIG week for me ! Hope everyone is doing good

auer~j 04-02-2009 08:32 AM

Vegas ~ WoW girl, you gave me goose bumps. I'm so happy for you. That must have been an AMAZING feeling. I will have to keep that in mind as I have a very good friend that I don't get together with often enough, maybe when I hit my goal weight, I will plan a day for just her and I to go to the outlet malls! I know she would be thrilled, she is my biggest supporter!

Retired ~ I hope your right about everyone losing in April, it makes me look forward to Spring all the more! I'm taking a vacation from work next week and plan to get out in the yard and do some work, hopefully that will show up for me nicely on the scales!

Sassy ~ I'm new to calorie counting also! I might have to pick up that 30 day shred and try it, although I have to admit Bob is my fav trainer of the two. I just LOVE Bob.

Blackbutterfly ~ I just recently got down under 200, and let me tell you, it is an AWESOME feeling! I'm really excited for you! Keep up the good work!

As for me, I hope today will be a better day, I let yesterday get to me. Mainly DH, he was being a real butt head and wanted to go out to eat. I was going to make a new diet recipe, and he had no interest whatsoever. He did go to the park with me and we walked, but then I caved and let him have his way and went to dinner afterwards. It's so hard sometimes, when you don't have the support, but he promised he is going to be better so we will see. I'm just looking forward to my vacation next week. I plan on sleeping in every day, getting out the in yard to do some work, going to the park and walking at my leisure, knitting, knitting and knitting, hmmm and well anything else my little heart desires. I might even take a nap in the middle of the afternoon one day <GASP>!

Have a great day ladies!

sassypants01 04-02-2009 10:49 AM

I know this is silly but could someone tell me how and where to attach my ticker. I don't know how to do it?

Thanks

nicki rose98 04-02-2009 11:33 AM

dgramie Way to not get down!!!

vegas What a wonderful day for you!

retire Sorry about the FIL but glad your family is getting back to normal. That is so cute about your DS lol

sassy Welcome to the board. Keep up the fantastic work! As for your ticker, you have to wait 20 posts AND 20 days after you join. In your User CP there will have a link show up for your ticker after that time.

mollz Welcome as well!!!!!

butterfly ONEderland is waiting for you girl!

auer I'm sure he'll come around and be the supportive guy you need. If he doesn't you will always have us!

Doing good so far. Stayed OP yesterday and squeezed weights in between shifts. After work I tanned and went home. Laid DD down and then did 30DS. Then I showered and studied. Got about an hour and a half in of studying. So yeah me!

Did get a good joke played on me yesterday. My friend called me and "read" me an article she found online saying that they were replacing Robert Pattinson as Edward in New Moon by Zac Effron due to creative differences. I was SO mad. I was like "I'm not going to see it if they replace him!" LOL. My BF said you realize it's april fools day. I was like crap! LOL. Good one!

beach bum 04-02-2009 11:33 AM

Good Morning Ladies:)

Was up early as I have to go for a mammogram at 8:30. Hope everything will be fine.I was a little concerned as I had a pain around the limp nodes but didn't feel any lumps.Radiologist told me if the pain doesn't subside I should talk to my doctor at my April 21 appointment.

VEGAS-Wow getting into a small size of jean would make me cry also. That's wonderful, and what a NSV you had. Wish I could get in jeans.I still wearing elastic.

RETIRE-I hope you correct as I have a long way to get to get to my goal.Yes your statement of always being a mom,is right you somehow know that they still need tender loving care.

COLLEGE GIRL-I agree with you hope we'll all are biggest losers for this month. You have a great plan exercising 4 day a week. I will pay off.

You're quite right. I forgot the earth is sphere shaped and not just one hemisphere. Just translate that into spring when it comes your way. We're certainly a multi-national group of chickens, aren't we.

It's very late for me and I'm going to bed shortly. Just waiting for mom to wake up and take her medication. She should have had it over an hour ago but she's asleep and we don't wake her up because she can be difficult and any sleep time is welcome.

This is my third good day in a row. Good eating and exercise. Yes, it's good to be back in control.

Welcome all you new people. Glad you joined in the general chatter and support. I don't do personals very well but I do read everything. Only every now and then I get personal. Ha, ha. :D

I just heard a stirring from mom's room so I guess that's my cue to close down. Have a great evening everyone.

prinny 04-02-2009 11:01 PM

Only did half my workout nyesterday, will do the other half today. Allergies are making me sooooooooooooo tired. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I need to get actiuon packed. I have so many projects to work on, a dress to finish and I just want to take a nap. LOL.

auer~j 04-03-2009 07:53 AM

Nicky ~ What a cruel joke. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Twilight books, however, I LOVED Eward in the movie. Good job on getting your studying in. I'm curious what are you going to school for? It's been a dream of mine to eventually go back to college.

Maryann ~ Good luck on your mammogram. I hope everything is ok.

Prinny ~ Are you sewing a dress? I knit, but I have always wanted to learn to sew. I have a machine collecting dust in the closet.

Well, I was feeling frustrated today, because the scales are inching up. I've been doing ok eating wise I thought, but my hands are swollen and puffy this morning, so I'm hoping it is just water retention. I'm also starting to feel lazy about getting on my elliptical. I did go out and work in the yard yesterday thought, it felt so good. I can't wait til next week for my vacation!

Have a great day guys!

Mainah 04-03-2009 08:09 AM

I am fairly new to calorie counting. I have been using TheDailyPlate but signed up at SparkPeople today to see what that site was like. TheDailyPlate tells me that for my weight loss goals (2lbs per week) I should be eating a little over 2100 calories per day. That seemed like a lot to me! SparkPeople says it should be between 1300-1700 per day. That is a drastic difference in calories and would explain why I'm not losing like I think I should be. Any suggestions?

beach bum 04-03-2009 10:12 AM

Good Morning Ladies:)

Very foggy reminds me of LONDON TOWN today. We decided not go out,as are bones are bothering us the moment the barometer goes down.

Can't believe that I lost all my information from the beginning of the year on fit day. I had charts that I wanted to copy and paste for my doctors appointment this April 21th and now I have nothing.

What calorie counting web site do you use ,on this board and is it reliable???

RETIRE-Glad to hear you back on track.Boy do I know exactly what you went though.I lacked exercising on Wed & Thursday and now I have to get back on the bike and get my exercising done.DH thinks that as long as you eat probably that's enough,I told him you have to exercise also. Can't tell him differently.

AUER-J-Thanks my mammogram went fine, even though I had a pain around my limp nodes she told me that they ex rays look ok,but I should make sure with my doctor this month.

If your hand and feet are swelling Its almost probably that it water retention. I get that from time to time, and that all it is. I'm up this morning but it was from the turkey leg and extras that I had for dinner.Today I going down on my calories is wash this weight off.

Have a great morning

Koshinogi 04-03-2009 01:34 PM

Heya Girls, Although I'm not new to 3FC I am to the calorie counters area, I joined here at christmas and started my Diet Journey, 1st January 09.

I am trying to calorie count and exercise, January started off fantastic, I lost 15lbs, i know alot is water weight but its still gone, so i was happy, I have lost a further 3lbs since then, after a few mishaps and gains here and there so am officially at 18lbs lost.

I really want to be at goal by january 1st 2010, and it is still very doable, so I'm hoping you ladies can give me some pointers, and hel me get back on track.

I use Fitday to journal and it kinda helps but i'm finding less time to get online and log, how do you guys do it, how many calories do you consume and how much exercise do you get in day to day???

I post alot in the chicks up for a challenge bit, which is great and makes me a bit more accountable.

Anyway hope to settle in nicely here, have a great eveing girls and will ttyl

momof4under5 04-03-2009 02:25 PM

WOW there is a lot to catch up on. I havent really been in here because I have been AWFUL with my eating and feel bad. Some of you have it sooo together and I feel like crap.. Then Vegas makes me jealous...LOL...I know she worked for it but I wish I could get with it. I am having such a rough time. I am really thinking of going on a juice fast. They say it cleans you out and your body operates off of the vitamins and things in the veggies and fruit. I dont know I just know that I HAVE to get control of this or before I know it the days will turn in to weeks and weeks into months then 10 years from now my kids are teens and I am still fat. I am not gaining weight but I am eating junk and I know I am going over what I need to be eating for calories.......UGHH.....sorry so down...it took a lot to come in here and post.

Vegaspunkermom 04-03-2009 09:24 PM

TGIF lovlies!! Hope everyone is marvelous! Thank you SO much everyone for the Congrats on my size 8's!! Keep in mind that was ONE pair of capris, and the other 2 pair of jeans I got were 10's. Still :)

Im a moron & forget to subscribe to the new month, so havent gotten any email updates, and spaced the boards. Ugh!

Alright, personalllllllllllllls...

Prinny - I think we have the exact same TOM schedule LOL! Im right around the 8th, and have noticed that Ive been a bit hungrier today. Ive also been gassy. Alright TMI, but Im right there with you.

Sassy - Welcome!! You dont get a ticker for about 20 days or so. Its a pain, but I just got mine last week, and was so thrilled! Good luck on your journey, these chicks rock!

Black - Welcome also, and HOORAY for being right near the 100's!! DO IT! :carrot:

Beach - So sorry you lost all your info! Damn Dailyplate! I hope everything went well with the mammogram. My mom told me they're an ouchie! Water weight be GONE!

Mollz - Welcome!! New Zealand sounds AMAZING! Im jealous! I also love spicy food, so any low-cal recipes would be great!

Nicki - LMAO @ your April Fools joke! I am a Twilight lover, but all about the books, and so-so on the movie. However, you know Ill be waiting in-line to see New Moon with bells on! Oh, and Zac Effron is super hot to me. Not sure why, but, yeah...

Momof - We all do what we can love! Some days Im exhausted & cant workout, some days I just make all 3 kids have a "rest" time, and take time for myself to get a workout in, and sometimes I go walking after the kids are in bed at 7, while my husband stays home. I dont think the juice fast is a good idea, it'll just make you more hungry, and you'll probably wind up eating more.:hug::hug: Please dont give up, I need you here as my mommy of many buddy!!

As for me, Ive been waiting for TOM to arrive. Moody, headache, gassy, & more hungry, but trying to control it all. LAZY with working out these past few days. Good OP eating. I need to really get off my behind.

Its dinner time... pasta, with some spaghetti sauce & ground turkey!

OH, question before I forget!! Best Low Cal hot dog? My son will be turning 1 next month, and we're having a BBQ. I need some options for me! THANKS!

sassypants01 04-03-2009 09:33 PM

Vegaspunkermom,

I have the BEST hot dog for you to use at your sons party!! Try Hebrew National Reduced Fat dogs. They are 45 Calories per dog and kosher to boot! :) Try them with whole wheat buns, saurkraut, mustard, and onions! You'll feel like you're cheating!! So AWESOME! Let me know what you think!
Kate

Mollz 04-03-2009 10:47 PM

Vegas: I was born and raised in New Orleans, so if it's spicy food you want, I'll send you some good spicy, low-fat recipes. I think Rob Pattinson is much better looking that Zac Efron, who reminds me of Ian Somerhalder (6 degrees of separation: went to school with Ian and he was in my 8th grade science class).

Sassy: I love your avatar. They don't make sexy the way they used to!

I'm making red beans and rice for dinner... after a high-fat dinner last night and lunch today: deep fried camembert cheese wedge, butter chicken and a small slice of strawberry cheesecake for dinner (though to be fair, I did stop eating after 1/2 the meal because I wanted to keep room for dessert!). That was actually 2 goals- not eating the whole meal and not eating a second slice of cheesecake.

Lunch was a cardboard-tasting pizza sub, but the kicker was the Kitkat cookies and cream bar I had afterwards. I've had that kitkat in the pantry for a week and it called my name (a la "The Exorcist") after I finished lunch... "Mollie... Mollie... EAT ME! EAT ME!" So I did. I'm not sure if I enjoyed it or not.

momof4under5 04-04-2009 12:46 AM

vegas= thanks I actually got my dad to get the kids earlier than I needed tonight and got to sit down at the table ALL BY MYSELF and have a meal. It was soooo relaxing. You of all people know what I mean. No fighting, no screaming, no crying, no girls fighting over who sits next to mommy, no boys fighting over who sits next to papa, no teenager complain she dont like something on the table, no spilled drinks, no up and down to the kitchen and back.....LOL....JUST PEACE AND QUIET. Today was one of the worst down days I have had in a LONG LONG time. I feel guilty about my eating, I feel guilty about not excercising, I feel guilty about not playing more with the kids or taking them more places. I just dont always have the energy to dress all four of them get shoes coats, do hair, wipe faces, and get them all to the van and buckled. It takes sooooo much. BUT I really want to be an active mom and do that stuff and I know my weight is in the way so I have to fix it. Sorry this is sooo long. anyways. i am gonna keep trying but I have to do something to break this cycle and fix it!!

prinny 04-04-2009 08:58 AM

I totally vouch for sassypants01's recommendation on healthier dogs. Those are so good!

Read in another thread how 2 weeks isn't a big setback in the grand scheme of things, it IS if you have events scattered all through the summer where you need to fit into specific stuff. Especially with those of us very prone to frustration. I swear sometimes the only thing keeping me honest are knowing I am going to have pictures taken of me every month at a monthly event, at a few events in May and June then one in August and one in October. If there was someway I could be goal thin NOW I'd gladly trade a few months off my life or something. I am seriously that desperate right now.

Trying to be good! Making this post during a little rest in my WHAT time is it?!?!?! Workout. I didn't get up at 5 to do it, I am STILL up. *urgh* SO not into it this week. I have had a harder time working out because of my allergies. When you don't get enough oxygen you sure do get tired faster! :(

Ok back to stretches then bike then shower and finally BED.

Hang in there ladies! I'm trying to hang in there too.

dgramie 04-04-2009 09:03 AM

GREAT news...the scales are slowly moving downward again. So the increase of calories was what my body needed along with increase in exercise. IM pumped!! Cant wait to weigh in on monday morning now!!

beach bum 04-04-2009 10:22 AM

Good Morning Ladies:)

We have wind gust hitting around 40 MPH today. My sister thinks I can walk in this weather,by telling me to wear a ski mask.:lol:

I joined SparkPeople to track my calories yesterday as Fit Day lost all my charts from food, activity and nutritional values that I was going to copy & paste to give to my doctor so he could see what i was up to but all my charts went POOF for some strange reason. I was so mad, all the hard work for nothing.

KOSH-Welcome to the calorie counting board & chat thread.Congrats on your 18 loss. I think counting calories is better than any diet out there. It just the matter of find your balance.I on 1300 to 1500 calorie range.

MOMO-Oh goodness that's the time you should be here for motivation and support.Oh No by all means I'm not near of putting it all together. I still have to find my balance. I'm creeping up to the 170's again for no reason whats so ever,as I write everything down that I eat and I can't find where I going wrong. My exercising hasn't been good as I hurt the cafe muscle and only worked out 2 x's last week.

VEGAS-The mammogram went find the tech told me to tell her if it was to tight. Thanks I guess some times a site might delete thing for no reason, but that computers for you. You're doing great with the measurements.I'm going to take mine on Monday when I W-I.

KATE-I love Hebrew National Franks my self. I use the 93% FF kind.Other than just putting them in a bun I found lots of recipes for the old hot dog,or I just substitute the hot dog for the fat sausage kind.

MOLTZ-I love Cajun foods the spicier the better. We had such a good Cajun restaurant where I used to live in NY but since moving up to the Cape, its sea food up here and I have to rely on my cajun recipes.

Sorry about those kitkats calling your name. The only candy I have in the house is DK chocolate Kisses which I only have 2 right after dinner.Suppose to be good for the heart.

PRIMMY-Your so right when you say that its the event that happen during the summer. Luckily we don't have that much company so my DH & I eat the same all year round.

DGRAMIE-Glad to hear your scale is going downward again. Wishing you a great W-I this Monday.

Have to go,will be back later

Vegaspunkermom 04-04-2009 01:58 PM

Sassy - YOU ROCK!! Thank you SO much! My son's party isnt until May 3rd, but best believe I will be buying some of those! Im SO excited, I havent had a hotdog in MONTHS! BTW, I love Betty Grable with a passion. My grandmother used to look ridiculously like her when she was young!

Mollz - My husband & I have always wanted to go to New Orleans. Someday, for sure! Im glad it isnt right now, because I would certainly gain weight there! I do love spicy food, but especially creole & cajun! I like Rob Pattinson, however, I think Zac Effron's hotter, strictly because to me, Rob seemed more like Edward Sissorhands than Edward Cullen! YUM cheesecake!

Momof - I understand the guilt feelings! Even since losing weight, its still hard for me to get all 3 of them dressed, ready, loaded, unloaded, etc. and since James is still under a year, he doesnt do well out for long periods of time. He loves his schedule. I try to take the kids somewhere fun, by myself, once a week. Then we go out again once a week when Daddys off. Im SO glad you got some you time! Dont forget how important that is!

Prinny - Just let the pictures be your motivation, and take it as much as you can. Someone once told me, its a marathon, not a sprint, but you'll get there. Im still getting there. I want to be my goal weight SO bad I can taste it, but Ill be damned if Im giving up now. Ive worked TOO hard to stop until Im there, & so have you!

Dgramie - YAY! Kick that scales butt! I cant wait to see your W-I
too!! :D

Beach - Windy here too! The temperature changes are ridiculous! One day its gorgeous & low 80's, the next its windy, cloudy, & low/mid 60's. I cant remember it ever being like this changing wise ever! Glad the mammogram went well, and Im anxious to see your measurements change!

Alright, off to do my 45 minute cardio/sculpt walk. Tomorrow is my best friend's daughter's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. NO pizza or cake for me, but I will have a salad plate from the salad bar & a diet coke :) Ive got to get this weight off!

Thanks beach & vegas...it helps to know there is support. Right now I am with a sick baby. I was up all night fell asleep at like 5:30 this morning. She slept on and off this morning. This is the first chance I have got to get up cause she is sleeping...A friend of mine took my 2 year old to their house which helps because the girls fight over me and push each other off me and punch each other. So with the lil one being sick it works better! Ok well I gotta get going...lata

Beachbum: Sometimes we need a little treat; I eat chocolate maybe once every 2-3 weeks as a way of keeping my mind on top of the loss. I can lose weight and still enjoy a chocolate bar! My frequency of eating them has gone down: from twice a week to one every 2-3 weeks. But I won't give them up. Why force yourself to give up foods you love in the name of losing weight? Maybe I'm more optimistic about these things, but even if I gain 100 grams from eating it (that's about 1/4 of a pound), my overall weight has gone down. As far as I'm concerned, I'm still in negative territory! :D:D:D:D

I still managed to get on the scale this morning (I weigh everyday and keep track online of what my weight does) and it was 88.4 with a trend of 89.3 (BMI: 32.8 down from 35.2 in October). I'm 100 grams closer to my goal. That puts me at an 800gm loss this week- I'm stoked!! :carrot:

Hi ladies! I'm just checking in. We just got back from meeting my inlaws to transfer our son off for Spring Break with his grandma hehe Bad news is we've been on the road and eating out. I tried to make healthy choices, but we know how that goes, but I'm ready to get back with it ASAP!

Hello everyone. Welcome new people. The weekend is just about over and I managed to do pretty good except for the cheese cake (sigh...so good). I did put on weight the two or three weeks I was madly on the go with Baby born and funerals but the good news is I'm sure I lost most of it as I was only up 1.5 pounds from the middle of March. I can handle that. I'm 139.5. I'm so glad the scales didn't weigh me in the 140s. I wouldn't have taken that as well. I should probably go change my ticker to reflect my true weight. I've lost and gained these couple of pounds over and over since January.

Ladies....I've had a tough weekend! Yesterday wasn't so bad but I didn't work out and i had no reason not to. Today was BAD! I didn't work out AGAIN and I had a burger and fries and then tonight I had grilled cheese, chips and a Dr Pepper. I don't even want to try and count the calories. I'm going to try and pick myself up tonight, not judge myself and start tomorrow with a fresh workout and clean slate.

ARGHHHH! Why is food such a big freaking stumbling block?? It's been two weeks of solid calorie counting, clean eating and working out! I will NOT let this derail me but it's hard not to feel discouraged but this.

I've lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks and I know I have so much more to lose and more work to do to get there.

Sorry to unload, but if not here where else right?

Kate

According to the daily plate:
If you successfully lose 2.0 pounds/week, you can expect to achieve your target weight by July 19th, 2009.

I need to dye and do my hair this week. Might not sound like a big deal but it takes a few hours to dye then 6-8 hours to put my extensions in. The good thing is my hair becomes pretty much zero maintenance for styling it after that for almost a month. It's a pain to workout with extensions in but I'll do it anyway. I can manage.

I think I might be able to get another penguin this week if my TOM doesn't mess me up too bad.

Oh hrm, just realized I have no idea how much the extensions are going to weigh. It is possible that it is a pound or more. Uh oh. Need to figure that out.

Good Morning Ladies:)

Wasn't feeling well yesterday, that's the reason I was MIA.Had a bad weekend not sleeping and having muscle problems on my left leg. It feels better today,I think I pulled a ligament or a tendon,if it doesn't get butter in the next couple of days I going to the doctor. Don't need this when my DD and DGC are planning to come up here to the Cape.

Had a semi bad W-I this morn went up .4 I have a feeling its the lousy sodium again.

VEGAS-We're lucky than most of the country we had rain and wind comparing to other area where is snowing again. My measurement aren't good at all, even though, my pants are loose. Leo says that my lost inches but the tape measure don't lie  or does it.

MOMO-That's what we're here for is support.Sorry :sorry:about your sick baby, I feel so sorry for the little ones know they are feeling good and don't know why.But that again the poor moms losing night sleeps.Hope she better and you'll find your ZZZZZ's again.

MOLLZ-By all means I know that we all need treats. Don't give them up as if we do the body starts craving and eats whatever is in sight.Big congrats on the scale showing a loss.

AUER-J-When you on the road and not being able to control your eating just do the best you can,and that's all is expected.

RETIRE-Glad:carrot: to hear that the scale is finally going down hopefully your bod is getting used to your new calorie counting range.

KATE-You lost 5 lbs in two weeks that great.Give you body a chance to get used to the clean eating and exercising. Its only natural for day when we want to eat everything in sight and the next day we behave again. If we know the answer to the $64 thousand question we wouldn't need this board.

PRINNY-Hoping you get your next PENGUIN I switched to Sparks people when I lost all my charts and food journal on Fit Day.

DGRAMIE-:carrot::carrot:BIG CONGRATS on your 91.6 total weight loss your doing fabulous. :carrot::carrot: Keep up the good work

Good Monday to all!

Momof - Im sorry your little one was sick! Thats never easy. I hope she's better, and everything is going well with you now!

Mollz - This is probably going to sound ridiculous to you, but I have NO clue of grams & kg, etc. I do understand BMI though, so CONGRATS on your loss & great BMI! :cp:

Auer - I know how hard it is to make good choices when out. Im going to be facing my first real slap in the face with that in 2 weeks, when we go to California & Disneyland. I am SO SO nervous about it!

Retire - Kick that scales behind! Its good that aside from your heck few weeks, you're right back at it!

Sassy - Im sorry you had a hurdle hon. You know for me, every single choice, day, minute is a hurdle. Everytime I feel myself wanting the urge for something high cal, fattening, or something bad that someone around me is eating. I say the line below my ticker over & over, think to myself that NO food is worth killing this for me, and stay strong. A big part for me is the guilt factor. Thats the only thing I can offer. Whats done is done, dont beat yourself up for it, just keep going!

Prinny - Im a cosmetologist, LOL, although now Im a stay at home Mommy, Im still licensed. I miss the days of my extensions. They arent cheap either. I miss the money most LOL! :D

Dgramie - HOORAY for breaking that plateau!! :cb::cb: I know how long you've been stuck, so this is a huge breakthrough for you!! Wooo Hoo!!

Beach - Sorry you didnt feel well. I hope everything is better now! Seriously who cares about what a tape measure says? Your clothes fit differently, you feel better, thats ALL that matters! Drink that water & lose that salt!! :cheer3:

I am so proud of myself, because I resisted ALL temptation at Chuck E Cheese yesterday! No pizza, wings, cake, or cupcakes! I stuck with my salad (which was SO yummy) and had a diet coke as my treat.

My goal for today is to drink ALOT of water (it might be TOM coming, or it might be because I feel a bit dehydrated, but I feel bloated) Im also planning to do a 20-30 minute cardio workout, arms strength video, & abs today!
