Calories for today~ 1477
Fiber~ 23 grams
Sodium~ 2963mg

I think fitday is wrong on my calories. We went out for Japanese. I only had one roll and I did get one without avocado and mayo, but I still think the number should be higher. Oh well! I even said that I had 10 pieces vs the actual 8. My sodium is, of course, high because of the Japanese food. I do love miso!

Coolmom~ I'm glad you were able to at least get the calories in! That is the most important thing after all.

I think I may have done something tonight that will sabotage my calories on Sunday. We are having friends over for dinner on Sunday and tonight I bought some lovely looking imported cheeses to do a cheese plate (this is just the appetizer.) :o The entree I'm making isn't too bad (pasta & a veggie sauce with shrimp), but there will be wine and dessert as well. At least the dessert I'm making is only 171 calories per serving. I hope I have the will power to eat very small portions on Sunday!

All calorie counters~ I finally added a picture to my profile. It's from our anniversary. :D

WoW! Zenor,
You look Great!
and you look so thin already!

Are you staying safe and away from the fires out in California? Be careful!!
My prayers to all who has had the fires or awful weather.

Love Ohio. Safest place in the country.

Wow I guess I'll have to check in here every day! You guys are busy posters! I have been in other support circles where I could go in once a week and check the posts and only have 4 or 5 to read, not here! Congrats on the losses! :carrot: Keep up the good work! Thanks for the support everyone. I am feeling better now for the most part. 2 of my kids have some weird stomach virus. My son (3 1/2 yo) has been throwing up for 5 days (today makes 6) and my youngest daughter (will be 6 this month) has been throwing up for 3 days. They both have low grade fevers. I had to steam clean my carpets the other night cause it got so bad. I called the doc Tues. and she said just keep them hydrated and as comfortable as I can, that she's seeing alot of kids with the virus but if they're not any better on Mon I'm going to take them in cause a week of throwing up ain't normal. Other than that things here have been good. DH signed us up for a summer bowling league. We bowled on the winter league for adults and our 11 yo daughter bowled on a youth league but the summer league is a family league so we can bowl on the same team. He also signed up our other 2 kids for a pee wee league so that they don't feel left out. (They are to young to bowl on the family league. It's ages 7 and up.) That'll start in June so I'm looking forward to that. Well I'm off to finish the grocery list and go to the store. Take care everyone. TTYL

Littlered~ Thanks! I know how to tilt my chin in photos. :D My old roommate was a pro photographer and taught me all the tricks. I do wish that the fat on my belly (which you can't see) would go down as fast as the fat on my face has. Lol. On day at a time...

timmmyshawn~ I hope the little ones feel better soon! I don't ever remember being stomach sick for that long! That must be a doozy of a virus! Bowling sounds like a fun league to be in. My mom always used to watch bowling on Saturday mornings and I always remember thinking that it's more fun to play than watch on TV.

Good Morning~! Woohooo! Happy Saturday! Well I got my house cleaned, but got to fold laundry. DF and I are going to a 8 year old's birthday party today! So, going to eat light for the morning, since I don't know what is being served at the party! Well...upping my calories has certainly worked. I even tried my electronic scale that made we weary!! Well I put my two 5lb dumbells on it and got 10 lbs exactly! So I guess it was right....but if I went by the numbers that I did last week. I'm down 2.5 lbs! LOL Scales....so maddening. But I have noticed that my face is more pronounced. And looking at old photos of me, I looked alot heavier in them then now!!! My stomach doesn't protrude out as much, I don't too much of the "pregnant" look going. But it is still there! LOL Ok enough on my part!

Zenor- You look fabooolous!!! Great job!!! You certainly don't look as much as you weigh! :) You go on with your bad self there girl!:carrot: Wild fires yike! You're not by them are u? Stay safe if you are! I remember when I lived in Cali still, we got evacuated at 2 am!! IT was the scariest thing ever....I miss Cali, but not the wild fires. I'm so glad that my parents relocated to San Diego!!! When we lived in San Bernardino, we had fires every Spring, Summer and Fall!

LittleRed-
Hahahahaha, no one touches my beans either. The black and black eyed peas, and kidney beans. And this is coming from someone who HATED beans!

My DF is like a kid in the grocery store, we can get this, can we get that? Though he's a great bargain shopper when he wants to be.

TimmyShawn- The kiddies don't have the norovirus do they? I heard that is going around again. I hope they feel better!! It's no fun to be sick, but with a kid it's different!:( Have a great time bowling!!!

Petra- Yah that dude is crazy, it's not like the captain is going to turn the boat around and dock them so that he can get his crazy butt to the court house, there is money that needs to be made! Ok I sound like I'm part of the crew! Hhahahahahah! The money is great, but wow....I sure couldn't do that kind of work!! Just too much!

Well....hope everyone has a a great Saturday!! Talk to you all later!!

CoolMom75 05-12-2007 02:50 PM

You look fab Zenor! Good luck with your dinner party. I haven't even had friends over like that in a looooong time.

zenor77 05-12-2007 03:44 PM

Tinky & Coolmom~ Thanks! I'm finally starting to feel more like my "old" self. Although, I don't think that I've weighted this little since the 90's. So, it's my REALLY "old" self. Once I find some before pics I'll post them in the mini-goal forum. I was usually the one behind the camera during that time period.

No wild fires in my area. :crossed: It has been a really dry year here. I think the grape harvest will come early. I know the company I work for has had to irrigate a lot more than usual this year. The Santa Ana's don't really start up until September and that's when the really fire issues begin, but most of the fires are much farther south.

Coolmom~ Thanks for the well wishes! I'm too much of a foodie to not have friends over. The meal I planned is really healthy, but I didn't plan on ending up in a artisan cheese shop last night. I've already decided to have half portions of everything and then I'll be REALLY good on Monday. :D

Just want to tell everyone here, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

Natalia 05-13-2007 12:15 AM

What an awful day today. I feel horrible.
I don't know if it's withdrawal symptoms from the Cipro or what (I've been on it for the last 4 years and stopped taking it yesterday bc it was making me have anxiety attacks, hallucinations..feeling like I was going to die.

So today I have the most severe nausea..joint pain so bad I can barely move :( And I didnt want to go off plan, I wasn't hungry at all..but forced myself to eat something..I could not bring myself to eat meat though. For some reason that was a real turnoff, like when youre fluey or pregnant lol and have the sensitivity to smell.
So I had sugar free fat free pudding for supper. FOr lunch I had a pita with salsa and cheese on it. I just could not bear to deal with chicken :( \

I hope you ladies are all doing well ..!! Hoping to have a better day tomorow ..

Petra6998 05-13-2007 08:11 AM

Happy Mother's Day everyone!!! Well I was going to sleep in today and I guess I did...7:30...since I ususally wake up at 5. LOL I think that I have broke through my plateau. As of this morning I am down to 146.2!! So only 11 lbs to my goal. I am thinking I might change it though, will have to wait for when I get to 135 and see. Food was good yesterday. Only exercise I got was cleaning the house, which I didn't really do much of that, wasn't in the mood. I did get alot of laundry folded though, still have more to fold and wash. Us four sure do go through a lot of clothes!!
Well I hope everyone has a GREAT day. Talk to yall later.
Mary

Happy Mothers Day! I need to go see my mom today, so can't stay here too long.
I had that retirement party for my Uncle yesterday, oh man...I am so beat!!!! Didn't stay OP, and I am feeling it today, hands are swollen, mild headache! blahhh, I feel hung over! But the party went great! Going to drinks lots of water today, flush out all that sodium! Figured I better check in here to get my daily dose of will power!

On a positive note: did loose 2 more lbs, and Luc lost 3!
Congrats to everyone on their weight loss and will power!

Will stop in later, have a wonderful Mothers Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies out there!

Littlered~ I just realized that I was wrong! :o I guess dietary fiber is both kinds of fiber added together (I'm not sure where my confusion came from.) I made oat bran-flax pancakes this morning and I noticed on the label of oat bran (which had all 3 kinds of fiber on it~dietary, insoluble, soluble) that the dietary equaled out to the other two added together. I'm sorry that I confused you! I guess it truly was just a fitday blip. Perhaps I should not expense advice! Label reading is so confusing sometimes!

Calories for yesterday~ 1445
Fiber~ 30g
Sodium~ 1521 mg

Everyone have a great day!

littlered 05-13-2007 02:57 PM

Zenor
No problem. :D
I don't get upset easy.
And I am just going to keep on putting everything I eat into Fitday,
as usual.
Every one does things there own way, anyway.
My way is not nessarily correct...Just my way.
Thats is how I raised my kids too.
I told them...do it anyway you can. As long as it works for you and IS honest. :D
The fiber thing was just a question anyway. I also value everyones opinion. That is how we learn from each other. and I have lots more to learn.

Luc'sMom. And Mary.
Congrates on the loss! :carrot:
Keep it up.

Natalia,

I don't feel I know you well... but I would Highly advise you to call your dr. in the a.m.

Hello everyone! Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there. I'm new to the site so I just wanted to stop by and say hi to everyone.

Natalia 05-13-2007 04:58 PM

Hey littlered,
Thank you for the Cipro information.
I stopped taking it a couple days ago..and all the information I have seen about it does not include withdrawal information..? But I know I don't have to taper from it, my joints don't feel as bad I am just going to ride out the headache and nausea I've had since stopping it..
Side effects were so scary and this was only 4 YEARS of continued use so after that long i wasn't so fast pointing the finger at the Cipro, kwim? but now I know it was from the Cipro..hopefully I'll never have to go there again.

From what I've read actually, cipro is sometimes prescribed for joint pain relief so I guess maybe it makes sense to ache after coming off? Also it supposedly changes the pressure level in your brain while you're on it (which is why seizures and convulsions are a rare side effect) so changing the presure level coming off it, perhaps that's the reason for the headache? Who knows..lol
