Just got back from the gym with a 1067 calorie deficit for the day!

It still kills me to see women heavier than I am, running longer distances than I can. I mean, I'm jealous a bit, but at the same time I'm angry at myself for letting my heart/lungs get so out of shape.

Ah well, here's to the future!

Ok, 1322 cals, 48 oz water (up! so that's better), and 10262 steps today!! I really hope to see a change in the scale. But I hope I'm not too upset if there isn't. It's happened to me before though.

Trying to stay positive even when I'm stressed. Luckily, the house we bought has off white carpeting throughout it and so now we only eat in the kitchen. You wouldn't believe what a difference it made for both of us as far as not snacking. I just don't wanna go in there and be bored snacking at the table. I look forward to our meals but I don't like to eat alone in there. Guess I will have to stick with it even when we get ceramic tile.

Hope you all had a great day too. Hugsssssssss!!!!

Calories for the day at 1148 with 27% coming from fat.

Total deficit for January 10,627 calories which translates to 3.03 pounds. We'll know tomorrow when I weigh in.

1501 cals for Tuesday is a little better. The quality is not good but I can work on that.

Good morning fellow calorie counters,

Soon2bfit, yes I agree. A HUGE part of this weightloss is preparation. For me it is essential. It is DEFINITELY worth the effort though. That's very funny about your white carpet and not eating. That's a tip I'm sure no one has ever thought of before.

Smartbutt, those recipes sound yummy.

I didn't get to count all that high yesterday, another low one for me, I'm looking to bring it up a bit today. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

Tuesday's calories - about 1000

Have a good healthy day everyone.

Hey everyone.
Yesterday's calories were 871. I was way stressed from work and probably could have ate alot more but I didn't want to tempt myself. I only got 15 mins in on the Gazelle. I found a gym right around the corner from work, no I have to figure out a way to work it into the monthy budget.

Good luck to everyone with the weigh in's today!!

Good Morning Girls!
Julie...Long Time, No See
Sakuya... I like your menu, not much cooking during the day. You must be on the go quite a lot but still able to eat healthy. We buy the frozen individually chicken breast and eat at least once a week. They are so easy to prepare and good without adding all the high calories sauces, etc.
Diva...Glad to see you kick the bug in the butt and good luck on your weigh in tomorrow. :
Fitchick...I used to wear a pedometer all the time before my feet went bad. That is a fun way of getting in your exercise daily. We live in Minnesota and most everyone has basements. I usually iron my clothes upstairs in the kitchen and would purposely leave my clothes to be ironed in the basement. Every time I needed another piece to iron, I'd run down stairs and get only that items. It was nothing to run the stairs 15 or twenty times and fantastic exercise.
Mary...I'm sure you've dropped some weight by now with two days of low calories. Try a drop of fresh squeezed lemon juice in your water, it's good. Also you can get a jump start on your water if you make a point of downing 16 oz. right away in the morning. I don't like anything cold first thing so I pop it in the microwave to warm it up a tad and it goes right down.
Susan...Do you save some calories for a night time snack? I always do because DH has to have his popcorn or Ice Cream in the evening. More than once I've not been hungry but the smell of fresh popped popcorn has done me in.
Fl-Mom... Thanks for the suggestion, I'm happy to hear someone else uses that site. I have Recipes.com on my desk top because I use it most everyday. I've taken some recipes off it for the squash but we can only eat so much. I'll probably end up cooking and freezing it.
SmartButt...Thanks for the recipes, I'm going to make the casserole today. It sounds yummy except for the marshmellows, I'll leave those off. I had forgotten about the fries, I've made them before and they are truly delicious. Thanks for reminding me.
Hi Valerie Joy and Robin!
Tuesday Menu: (I have to hurry, it's just about time for"Regis and Kelly" plus DH wants my version of French Toast this morning. He had cheerio's and bananas yesterday and thought my breakfast sounded more appealing!
Calories 1,208 Fat 23%
Vit/Salmon oil
Cottage cheese with applesauce
Fiber One, French toast, SF Maple syrup. (I made the french toast differently, I beat up 2 egg whites with 2 Tablespoons of FF milk, Splenda and Cinnamon. Then folded in 2.5 slices of cubed low calories bread, I liked it.) I usually have some egg white left over when I make it the traditional way, this way I use all the egg whites and it makes a perfectly round, thick french toast.
Turkey Breast sandwich with lettuce and dijon mustart.
Chicken soup, large lettuce/arugula salad with fresh pear slices, Balsamic vinegar and Olive oil dressing.
Milk, cheesecake pudding with cool whip and fresh blackberries. 1/2 serving of almonds.
Have a good one!
Bobbi

Bobbi? Yes, I eat all day long. Breaking the evening snack habit is something I just cannot do.
I roughly follow either Body for Life or Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle and they stress the importance of putting something in there. I don't remember that they say anything about not eating at night. I don't think so.

G'morning Julie, Sakuya, Diva, Susan, Bobbi, Mary, Fl Mom, Smart, Valerie and Robin and anyone I may have forgotten!!!!!

I agree; eating at nite is good. I don't care what books say about stopping at a certain time. Most people who have kept their weight off after losing alot note that going to bed hungry is horrible and makes you want to throw in the towel. I can't do it. Bad Bad Bad for my determination. Hunger freaks me out. LOL

Yes, my pedometer is a great friend to me. It reminds me exactly what I've done today and what still needs to be accomplished! Also, to add steps I jog really fast for at least 2 mins b4 I get into bed and right when I wake up. Adds a few hundred steps to my day. I also jog while I wait for the microwave and it's one or two min increments all day. I try to at least pace around when I'm on the phone, stand when I'm folding laundry (I used to sit)etc. too. You wouldn't believe how much time we actually do have during the day when we think we have little time for exercise. So much of the time we are waiting!!! Waiting for the water to get hot in the sink, or something to boil, or coffee to make, or the oven to heat up (can y'all tell where I spend most of my time yet??) I'm always washing or drying dishes, doing laundry, cooking or cleaning somewhere. Also I try to be on the tmill if I'm watching any tv. That is where I find most of my time. Even one hour a day. If you walk during it or jog in place, that's a workout. Just some of the things I do, any other suggestions for adding movement to the day?

Hope you all have a fabulous day!!! I'm going to down my 16 oz right off; I like that idea.

Well, 1153 cals., 10.5 gms of fat, only 16 oz water, uggh!, but will make sure to have more tonite. Steps are at 8100+ but will get to 10k. Feeling pretty good. Probably will weigh on Sunday morning, and also measure.

Have a great nite!

Good job FL MOM! Man I can't wait for size 8's! It's been way too many years since I could get into those!

Calorie deficit only around 350 today. Kinda balances out yesterday I suppose. Today is a day off from working out, we're back at it tomorrow.

Gah. What an awful day. About 1900-2000 calories for the day. I have a massive headache and kept making poor food choices, so those aren't good calories at all. Blech.

I hope everyone else is doing better today.
