Hi Red Team
It looks lie everyone has been staying busy this week. I'm getting ready for DS to be home next week. He's going to be here for a couple of weeks then he's leaving for South Korea for a year so I'll have to spoil him while he's here. I'm going to make some cheese this weekend, I'm going to make nuefchantel and maybe some quark. I'm also going to bake some bread and all kins of goodies that I shouldn't have but I love making and he loes eating. The end of the month we are having a party for both kids and will have lots of family and friends here so I'll feed what's left to them.
Tomorrow is music lessons and library day for DD. She is doing pretty good with her flute that she started last fall, and now she has added the saxaphone and is doing great on that (1 lesson and can all ready play a couple of easy songs).
I don't know how I'm going to do this month, TOM hit unexpectedly and with major chocolate cravings.
Have a great weekend
Bette K

Hi everyone -- update -- well after practicing, went to pick up my elderly mother to take her to lunch and out to store to look for yarn, and took her back to her house. At her house I fell (sandal caught in on something) and I fell -- ON MY WRISTS!!! yikes. it was so painful, and I fell on wrists first then onto side, so banged up right knee, and right ribs -- and for SOME reason my boob hurts -- oh it was awful.

I fell also 7 years and one day ago and had broken my right arm up by the shoulder, so this time since I fell forward and to the side, I rolled on over onto my back and was laying there sort of paws up and tits up and was trying to figure out if anything was broken. I remember this car driving by slowly -- and it would have been NICE if they had stopped, but I'm thinking maybe they thought, "oh look at that drunk fat lady!!!" lol I know maybe I shouldn't think that's funny, but truly I do.

Needless to say, I'm banged up, but I'll be fine. I'm using LOTS of ice everywhere, especially WRISTS, and I'm taking naprosyn. Today (24 hours) after the fall was the hardest, and I think I'm starting to feel better. I did practice today -- SOMEONE PLEASE TELL me why I can be so dedicated to the piano but fall short with eating right and exercise. Hmmmmmm something for me to think about while I pack myself in ice for the night.

Ya'all hang in there and if any of you can send a prayer my way on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m., I'd sure appreciate it. I'm afraid to play in public -- didn't used to be -- and I think it's connected to the weight. I KNOW the first thing I'll do will be to have the janitor turn that piano around so I can hide behind it instead of being seen, so that tells me something right there.

Oh, also, couldn't figure out why my biceps hurt so much since the fall, and son told me (he's an athlete) that when I fell by trying to break the fall with my hands/wrists, I ended up doing the ultimate pushup.

The good news is the soreness is subsiding....I'm just so glad I did not break anything.....sigh

Did anyone see the abc show about ultimate weight loss transformation about Jacqui -- WOW it was truly inspiring.

Soooooooo let's goooooooooooo RED TEAM!

God morning ladies. It's Friday- that means my all day board meeting is today- oh joy! I'll be glad when it was all done.
I Finalky have a weight loss to post- holy cow, it's about time. Now let's see if I can keep it off.
I was doing my best not to snack after dinner last night and kept saying to myself 'if you want to see a lower number on the scale in the morning, don't put that in your mouth' LOL let me tell you the internal dialogue I have going on sometimes is louder than a normal conversation.

Elizabeth- OUCH. I'm so glad you didn't break anything. I think you hit on a number of important points and the fact that they are in your head, means you are conscious and aware- which is one of the first steps on making your lifestyle change.
I like that phrase 'the ultimate pushup'!

Have a great Friday all!

What dialogue do you 'hear' in your head when you are making choices about what to eat?

MonteC - ouch, back pain is the worst. I hope the chiropractor can do some magic.

Elizabeth - oh my goodness, it is a good thing you didn't break anything! I will be thinking about you on Sunday. Rock them with your music!!

Bettek - you amaze me with your culinary talents. I hope you have a great visit with your DS.

CanadaMel - What is in my head? I pay chunk for my diet plan so (usually, my eating binge last week is the exception....) I ask myself if that bite is worth the $$$ that I am paying monthly for the diet/supplements/protein drinks, etc. Probably not the best motivation, but it works for me. I have set a limit for paying for the diet plan and I only have six weeks left, so whatever weight I have after that has to be lost without Metabolic Research Center - so I have to maximize the weight loss while I can.

I hope everyone is having a great Friday and has a great holiday weekend. We are going fishing (husband's favorite summer activity) tomorrow.

Hello Team- Happy Saturday!
I survived my board meeting yesterday- had a well deserved beer afterwards and can now breathe a sigh of relief.
Lots of little things to do as the kids head towards the end of school, but nothing pressing (at least in my eyes).

Monte- hope your back is feeling better.

Elizabeth- rock out the church tomorrow!

Bette- enjoy the visit with your son.

Dance recital for my eldest daughter today- so I'm on make-up & hair duty.
Baseball practice later in the day for my son.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day.
The board has really quieted down...hope everyone's doing well. Make positive choices!

I had a realization today -- during Zumba, I look like this:

That's me, the flapping chicken!!!!

I lost 1.4 this week, was surprised and amazed, especially since my gym scale had me 4 lbs heavier than I weighed in at WW. Lesson: no more other scales.

OK, finally checking back in.

Booze cruise was great - weather was perfect, band was great, I only had 2 flavored vodka & club sodas, and danced off some of those calories.

Selway - I'm in a Corvette club. My folks are in the club, too. Pretty fitting since I blame Dad for my Vette love.

Montecristo and Elizabeth - I hope you are both feeling better soon!

This coming week isn't looking much quieter - working late monday, car show meeting tuesday, cruise-in wednesday, pack thursday night, drive to PA friday to see my favorite band and some old friends at an Irish festival. It will be a long, fun, diet unfriendly weekend.

Bette - enjoy your cooking and visiting with your son. I do the same thing - I only make stuff I shouldn't eat if there are plenty of other people to eat it.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

Hi everyone -- I'm feeling better -- LOVE the ZUMBA chicken! that's what I thought I looked like also the time I tried Zumba.

Mel you sound like such a busy mom -- I miss those busy days. But they create fun memories.

Riddy -- glad you had fun on your cruise -- the dancing sounds like fun too.

Montecristo -- sending you vibes for your back feeling better.

Selway -- we find the motivation where we find it.....you're very determined, and focused, and that brings results. Go for it!

BetteK -- glad your DS will be with you for a while before Korea -- enjoy spoiling him. So, if he's going to Korea for a year I presume with the military? I appreciate his service to our country. Hmmmmm chocolate cravings.....can you satisfy them with sugar free chocolate (that stuff bothers my tummy though), or satisfy it with 1 tablespoon of mini choco-chips? That has worked for me in the past but the trick is only ONE level Tablespoon of the choco chips put in a baggy, and NO going back for seconds.

Welllllll, I need to sneak up on my scale and weigh. I've given in to some indiscriminate snacking the last couple days. Today i go back to work, and I think I actually do better on work days because I have more structure.

Everyone have a great weekend!! And don't forget to drink your water -- but just not all right before you weigh in! lol

everyone
Congratulations Zogo for being our BL and to the HM's

This past week has been a crazy one. I have been having to get up at 4:30 am for my practicum so I have been so tired! I haven't worked out once this week, but I have been walking a lot at work. I weighed myself this morning and I stayed the same. I am going to try to workout this week as I really want to finish the rotation I have been doing.

Riddy - I hope you have a great time at the Irish festival!
Shanhat - Congrats on the 1.4 lbs, awesome!
Mel - That beer must have been nice after the board meeting!
Elizabeth - Ouch!! Glad you didn't break anything. Good luck Sunday morning, I know you'll do great. I watched the Weight Loss Makeover show, (can't remember the actual name of it, lol), and Jacqui was so inspiring. I love that show.
MonteCristo - I hope you get some relief from your back pain soon.
Mary - I hope this week goes by quickly for you!

Hi, to everyone else
