I turned 40 today and had a cupcake designed by my two little ones. I hope it doesn't throw me off too far - it was worth it to see their faces as I savored every bite!

I hope everyone is having a great week!

Happy birthday, Selway!

I hope you enjoyed every bite of that cupcake.

Another thread made me think of this - if any of you use myfitnesspal, I'd love more friends there! I'm Riddygirl there.

Happy Birthday Selway!

With the way you are killing it week after week, I think you can safely have a cupcake on your birthday!

Hi everyone
I am so sorry that I have not been a good team member this challenge. I think I've only posted once I have been reading but just haven't had the time to actually post. I am almost finished school - 1 week left! However, then I start my practicum for 6 weeks. I am really going to try to post more so that I can get and give support. I do so much better when I keep up with the threads.
I have been on plan and I feel good, but I haven't lost anything this week. I will weigh-in on Sunday and hopefully I can lose at least one pound.

Selway - Happy belated birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day.

Montecristo - Italy! I’m so jealous. What a great motivator for you. You can do it

Mel - it seems like my children have had a lot more 4 day weekends than any other year as well.

Well I better get back to studying. I hope everyone has a great day!

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes! The cupcake was worth it - well, not the food actually, but my kids' expressions since they made it for me. I got Jillian Michaels's Body Revolution which is great since I am done with P90X tomorrow and am ready for a break from Tony Horton!

Narnia - great to see you on here! Hang in there for that last week!

Monte - ITALY! How exciting!!!

Riddy - have a great trip this weekend.

MaryS - hope the party goes well!

Elizabeth - do you get to catch up on sleep over the weekends?

Everyone have a great weekend! We can do this!

hAPPY BIRTHDAY SELWAY!! The cupcake sounds lovely also I was thinking about P90X, some of the guys I work with use P90X to get in great shape when they are going on vacation. Yes, I try to catch up on the weekends. I used to work a midnight shift but on weekends I would revert to sleeping at night. Now, I am up all night even on my days off. I'm going to have 11 days off that starts in a few days, and one of the things I'm going to work on is my sleep habits, AND an exercise program. I have heard if a person exercises they will sleep better. I finished fixing and cropping the photographs on the computer this morning at SIX A.M.!!! So now that is done I'm going to make some changes to not be such a night owl. I get off work at 2:30 a.m., so hoping I can scale back to getting to sleep by 3:30 or 4:00 a.m. Let us know how the Jillian Michaels workout goes -- if you think it is a good program and how hard it is.

Welcome back Naria -- it does help to stay up with a thread -- that's how it is for me anyway. If you are just finishing school you are very busy -- that makes it hard -- So, hang in there -- are you in a nursing program?

Montecristo -- Italy WOW -- happy for you , that will be fun. And what a good way to enjoy having met your goal -- you GO FOR IT! Italy is definitely on my to-do list someday.

wuv2beloved -- I like your attitude about a "catch up week". Definitely our body does not lose the same every week. I still say the scale is a tyrant taskmaster! Capricious and arbitrary.

Well the "straight skinny" on me is I am struggling -- hard with temptation. And temptation has been winning yesterday and tomorrow. I've got to get back on track. I did an emotional eating thing.....I made some cupcakes even -- WHAT was I thinking -- there was no way I could make them and only eat one. So I'm going to take the rest to work tomorrow -- the guys will eat them -- it will be "pick up your paperwork and get a bonus cupcake to go!" So, lost a battle but not the war -- I bought Bob Harper's book "The Skinny Rules" today at Costco. So I'm going to read that tonight and make up a list of rules for myself i can live with.

Soooo, I am expecting a weight gain this week! Glad it won't hurt the team, but I still want to do better -- I'm thinking I'm in training to be a "biggest loser" for when I can join a team officially next time.

So, let's remember to drink our water -- and just say no to cupcakes (exception of course is always the cupcake made by our dear little ones -- those cupcakes of course are PRICEless!)

Hugs.....

P.S. to Fearless Leader -- Hey Mel, how is your week going? Is DH still on the trip with you keeping the home fires burning? And....we appreciate the work you do keeping our threads going.

And Mary -- please advise how the graduation party goes....we're hoping for good weather for you -- today here was 103 degrees -- hope you have a nicer day than that :-)

Hi Red Team
Happy Birthday Selway, and a big congrats to our Biggest Loser and all the runnerups.

It's been a week of running and it's looking like a whole month of running people around. I still don't have a car and it looks like I won't be able to afford one till fall. We are getting by using Ds old Bronco and borrowing one of Dad's cars when we have to. So much for my idea of getting a summer job. I went to the movie with DD and one of her friends tonight, we saw Dark Shadows. It was a good movie, the girls liked it, and afterwards her friend came to stay over night with her. We were on the way home, still in town (small town) and driving Ds's bronco when all of a sudden there were flashing lights behind us. I went a block further so I could get off the road and then we waited for several minutes before the officer came up. Ther was me in the front and 2 giggling 11-y-o in the back and here comes 2 officers one on each side of the vehicle. shining flashlights through the windows and checking us out pretty good. I guess I had a headlight out and I didn't know it, but I was still kind of shook up. I don't know why, I only got a warning to fix the light which I will get done on Monday. I didn't know this officer, he was younger. It was quite and adventure.

Have a great weekend everyone, we got some rain so I;m going to do some work in the garden tomorrow.

Good morning Red Team !!! I haven't been doing as well as I would have liked due to my Achilles Tendon surgery 2 1/2 months ago . However as if yesterday my PT requested that I increase my walking unless I have swelling in the heel . I walked at the lake yesterday morning and just finished this morning without any swelling ! I thank God for helping me with my surgery and my recovery ! I am in the gym parking lot so excited about increasing my workouts after 3 months of down time . I believe I will do much better with Mt weight loss with this increase of motion . I am so so glad I did not gain any weight in the 3 months downtime . I actually did a class where you exercise from a chair . I was amazed what you could do . Have a great on plan weekend !
