Good Morning everyone ! I just want to send out a big Congrats to Selway and All the losers this week ! Great job !

Selway - You have got me interested in doing the P90X . I have it just have never try it.

I did my first Zumba class yesterday. First one in 5 months. I had surgery 8 weeks ago on my foot (achilles tendon) . I was so excited to start back into some of my normal excerise routines. I am still going jump in my favorite class soon which is Kickboxing ! After Zumba I went to a Group Stenght class . We did lots of planks, squats, and some weight lifting. I really enjoy the YMCA . I have meet so many lifetime friends. Have a great day ! Good Luck .......gotta go the the Y !!!!

I tried P90X at the beginning of the year...I'm not quite ready for it. Those are the only workouts that had me on the floor wishing to die afterwards. I'm looking forward to giving it another go once I've dropped 20-30lbs. I will to a pullup some day!

Hi gang-
busy few days at work & meetings/activities in the evenings. ACK!

I can empathize with not seeing IMMEDIATE results on the scale and getting increasingly frustrated. I'm trying to focus on the positive things- like- hey my pants still fit! LOL
What other NSV do you use to keep yourself motivated?
My arms are sore from my workouts. I've been doing standing push-ups against my kitchen counter, but now can do 10 on the floor and the rest on various counters around the house.

Dumplin- yay on the zumba! I can't get my hips to move like that.

mary- congrats to you son's graduation from law school. What a huge accomplishment.

There was an interesting article in the NY Times science section about the cause of weight loss and they talked about this body weight simulator
check out: bwsimulator.niddk.nih.gov
have a great afternoon all!

This week has been a tough one for me but I'm determined to end strong! I already exercised this morning and have prepared all my meals in advance.

I just accepted a new job offer at work. I'll be moving to a different department at the end of the summer, so everything is just chaos right now. I'm really, really excited about this change but even good change is still so stressful!

Just stay the course. I was up almost 3 lbs on Monday. Ate correctly all week and am back down to weigh in weight. Now to try to lose a couple more before Sunday. Going out to eat tonite but will just eat protein and veggies.

Congrats on the new job!!!

afm~the scale was finally down this morning. I am now officially only 5 lbs above my lowest weight last year. Hope to be there by the end of May. Have a plan for this weekend. Making a big pot of cabbage soup today and going to eat that every time I get the munchies. No salty things for me this weekend.

Thanks for all the congrats. So proud of him. He completed it in 4 years all while working full-time with a wife & daughter. Not an easy accomplishment. Now to pass the bar and find a job!

I went on a shopping trip to the mall for a new swimsuit. This will probably sound silly, but I've been really annoyed with my chest lately...it just seems freakin' huge (not really, only a DD, but that doesn't stop the way it feels, KWIM?). Let me tell you, shopping for a swimsuit did NOT help. A 16 fits me, except in the boob department...I went all the way up to a 24W and still couldn't get 'em in. Very depressing. I suppose they most sell swimsuits that fit according to bra size somewhere, right? I guess I'll just have to keep looking. But it is giving me somewhat of a complex.

I think decreasing the exercise is helping. I've not got that exhausted feeling anymore...haven't quite gotten to invigorated, but I'm still holding on to hope.

Montecristo, OH BOY you are brave. There is not much I hate more than swimsuit shopping. Just be happy you have happy healthy "girls". I had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction made from my tummy fat over a year ago. Now I'm actually happy that belly fat is the hardest to lose

Mary, that sure is an accomplishment for your son with a young family and all. He sounds very dedicated AND very smart! Some firm will be lucky to hire him.

Mapleleaf, congrats on the new job!

WUV, you are looking FANTASTIC! Love the new pic.

Riddy, walking/jogging was how I got plantar fasciitis in the first place. Be careful. I did get a 45 minute yoga workout from Tony Horton that I used to replace his 90 minute one in P90x. It was much more doable. I know yoga is all the craze and really good for you, but I can never seem to get excited about it. One more downward dog and Imma gonna scream

I really watched my food intake yesterday and drank 136 oz water. Well, it worked and my gain was reversed, plus some. Actually down 3.2 lbs today. Thank goodness.

Dumplin - How do you like zumba? There's a class at my local community center that I've been meaning to try, but I'm afraid I won't be able to move correctly and I'll look like a moron. :P

MonteCristo - Ohhh, I feel your pain. I'm a fellow DD/DDD, and I have never found a one-piece that fit okay. And since I'm afraid to wear a 2-piece, that means I haven't been swimming since I was about 10... Have you tried looking online at swimsuits with sized cups? There are some cute ones at Figleaves and ASOS if you're willing to spend $50-60 on one. I'm planning on getting one this summer so I can actually go swimming for once.

Sorry I haven't checked in yet this week, ladies. It's been a busy busy week. The eating has been okay (although I need to cut down on the sugar - started eating Greek yogurt with cherry preserves in the morning, and I think it's not doing great things for my weight). I finally got to go out for a nice trail run yesterday. Running on trails is SO much more fun than treadmills or tracks. Nothing makes you feel like a bad-*** like charging up a 50 foot almost-vertical sand hill, y'know.

I've been doing really well this week staying on plan. I started adding in some weight training, is it possible that it may affect my weight loss. I'm determined to lose this weight, but I've read on other threads that weight training is very important if I want to look toned. I really want my arms to look good because I want to be able to wear tank tops. Should I be weight training or does anyone think I should wait until I am closer to goal.

Hope everyones week is going good...

Lesson of the week: underripe garlic is a BAD thing.

But otherwise, this recipe was amazeballs. I made a double batch b/c we had tons of amazing fresh spinach. (It's spinach season.)

This is from WW"s new cookbook, Better Than Takeout. 7 Points per serving.

Spaghetti With Chicken, Arugula, And Breadcrumbs

6 oz whole wheat spaghetti
0.5 lb chicken tenders, cut into thin strips
0.5 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 large shallot, thinly sliced
2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
6 cups baby arugula (I used spinach, but think it lacked bite w/o arug)
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
3 tablespoons dried whole wheat bread crumbs (I used panko and it was fine)

Cook spaghetti according to package instructions, omitting salt. Drain, reserving 0.25 cup cooking water.

Meanwhile, sprinkle chicken with salt. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook, turning occasionally, until chicken is browned and cooked through, 3 to 4 minutes. Add shallot, garlic, and pepper flakes and cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute.

Stir in spaghetti, arugula, lemon zest and juice, and reserved pasta water. Cook, stirring, just until arugula begins to wilt, about 1 minute. Add bread crumbs and toss to coat.

NB: I needed more red pepper flakes on my servings. DH doesn't like them, but liked the recipe.

Mapleleaf - yay for the new position!

zogo - I've been fortunate to not have a flare up of the plantar fasciitis in years. It got much better when I stopped working 12 & 1/2 hour days of ALL standing. Now I have and extensive collection of Birkenstocks and Danskos, and hardly ever wear anything else. Losing weight can only help my poor feet.

MonteCristo - I don't know how much you're willing to spend, but Fit4U makes swimsuits for D&E cups - they're around $70-$100. I really want one, but can't justify one while I'm still losing.

http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/v...-Neck-Swimsuit

The same woman used to have a line called It Figures, which also had larger cup sized suits. I have a lot of those in size 24, and just bought a 14 on ebay for about $25 - new with tags!

getmydivaback, I started yoga in January, and kettlebells in February. I can feel my triceps but I have too much skin there. My biceps are definitely visible, though. I tell myself when I have weeks of little weight loss that maybe it's because I'm building muscle, but I don't know if it's actually true.

Thanks for all the swimsuit suggestions. After posting my little hissy fit I went online and did a search...I found a tankini top at JCPenney that was sized by bra size, so I ordered that and some board shorts (I'm overly modest at times). A little more $ than I really wanted to spend, but hopefully it will fit. The kids have been swiming since March, and I'm ready to join in!

Just stopping by to say 'hey'! Staying OP as much as possible, been really busy with upcoming events and getting the outside in shape. Am off to plant some flowers now. Hope everyone is doing well. May post my weigh in tomorrow -- not going to be around much this weekend.
