Default RED TEAM Chat Thread - WEEK 9 (3/1-3/7)

Welcome to the Red Team Week 9 Chat thread.

Looks like we really busted our losing streak...we've beaten Blue Team 2 weeks in a row now! But we can't let it go to our heads...they are a tough team, and won't let this go down without a fight...

Because of the Olympics, the BL show is now going to run through April 27th, a couple of weeks longer than the challenge is currently scheduled to go. Normally we extend the challenge to coincide with the show....if anyone has objections to this plan, please let Angela or I know so we can take them into consideration.

Shannon (Shan84) has volunteered to take on the Red Team after my retirement ( ) She will be working with Angela to set up a Summer Challenge....so be on the look out for upcoming announcements! Thanks Shannon for stepping up to the plate!!

BURN IT!!

Congrats to the Red team and to all of our losers for this week! Let's keep working hard. I myself, just started losing again this past week after a really difficult two month struggle with my weight loss even being on plan. Hope this is starting a new downward trend for me!

YAY Shan for being the next Red Team Leader!!
Interesting how you got to Korea! Very cool. When we came back from Japan dh wasn't able to get a job in the US, but did have an offer in Canada- that's how we ended up here. We've been here 10 years now! Longest I've lived in once place-LOL.

Kids don't have school today- so it's a relaxing morning. palydates set up for this afternoon so I better get my butt gear.

Way to go Red Team! 2 wins in a row, let's keep it up!

I wasn't much help this past week. I still haven't been able to break through this plateau and with TOM around the corner I was up .2lbs. I'm really hoping to see the numbers fall a little this week...I think I'm due for a little whoosh, hopefully! Good luck this week!

Hope everyone is having a good start to the week. I'm on a couple days of vacation time from work. Me and the bf are heading to a log cabin in the national park for the night. Good times. Last time we stayed there we had a blast. Plus it gives us a good excuse to go hiking and to hit the beach. Chat later. ~Shan

When will we know for sure if we are extending the challenge? I want to change my goal if we are extending it.

Shan-log cabin sounds romantic (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)- enjoy your time together.

My major beakthrough the past 2 days is spending time at home at not hanging out in the kitchen and eating myself out of house and home. I'm such a mindless snacker. I think I've finally breaking the bad & creating new

Back from the cabin. How awful it was! I actually was sick the entire time. Made a bad food choice in trying to eat fried chicken with the bf for lunch the day before. I was sick all night! UGH! Goes to show me how well I have been on plan because my body rejects greasy food now. Note taken. Hope everyone is having a good week. I'm back to work tomorrow for two days of desk time (no kids at the school). Looking to jump back in to my workout dvd's today.

We are going to extend the challenge if there are no major objections....nobody has objected yet, so I suppose we will make it official for next week. So go ahead and change your goal!

Hiya ladies.

Yay Shan for taking over!

Well, I went on my first date in 5 years last night, and lets just say as we ate at Olive Garden, I was not on plan. Scale is up 5 pounds today! Ugh.... I know some of it is just sodium/water or whatever, but still...some of it is also fat due to the cheese, alfredo sauce, etc. I am dedicated for the rest of the month thought! I am actually planning on doing the master cleanse, and although weight loss is not my goal for doing it, it is a nice perk! I am just hoping to be able to get back down to this week's starting weight so I don't have to post a gain for the week, and then if I start the cleanse next week I should really be able to contribute to the team's stats. I actually thought I was going to start the cleanse today, and then realized I have a huge tattoo being done tomorrow (all day tattoo schedule from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.!) and so it probably wouldn't be healthy to be on some intensive cleansing fast while going through the tattoo, so I am postponing it.

Oh Shan :hugs: that sucks being so sick. I hope you're on the mend & you and bf get to go away again.
Jess- an all day tattoo. Impressive. Is this a continuation of your other tat? Where's our pics? I sat for ~3 h when I got my tattoo-the prisms & rainbow from Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album

it's Thursday & it feels as if spring is here in Calgary & I'm enjoying the sunshine.
Have a great day all!

I hope everyone is outside enjoying the spring like weather 'cause it's sure been quiet around here.

Went for a run this morning. Was able to run 5k in 33min. Not bad for my first outdoor run this year. I guess the aerobics & core strengthening are doing their jobs.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Nice run! I've been working through C25K, currently at W7D1. I'm up to running 25 minutes, which put my overall 5K time at 36:40. I really want to get it down below 30:00 by summer.
