I cheated and snuck on the scale this morning..(I think that will be my motto for a while, by the way...replacing my carb addiction with a scale addiction) and I'm down to 250.8, so part of the way to my January goal :carrot: As for what I'm working for; I have lots of low self esteem issues relating to my body, and I absolutly do not want to pass those on to my daughter. She should grow up with a confident mom who feels comfortable with her weight, and is not always out of energy. I owe it not only to myself, but to her :) |

Yes the red team banner is hard to read....i think white letters would make it stand out more and make it easier to read also. just a thought ;)
I'm home now - we went to DS's speech appt then went to pay for the kids' january gymnastics classes. ouch to the wallet. lol but i see the kids enjoy it so much - so that helps me when i'm swiping the debit card. LOL :) i'm about to have some lunch and get some of a workout done before we have to go get DD from school. need to call and set up some daycare hours for DS for this month...he hasnt been in a while and he loves to go (playing and learnign with other kids his age) and gives me some down time from having kids around - so i can focus on me (and cleaning my house) :) lol good luck and have a great day everyone ;) |
Monte- I would also like the code once it is all straightened out.
Food has been good, day 3 of exercise was awesome, my endurance is going back up quickly which makes me very happy. The soreness is down today as well as the scale which is always nice to see. My BF told me last night that he wants taco bell for dinner tonight so I switched up my eating today and planned for those calories which actually aren't too bad with the new fresco menu they have. That really is all that is going on here since classes don't start back until the end of the month. I do have plans to do some cleaning around the house and maybe attempt the yoga dvd today. I passed yesterday because it really kicks my butt! I think I might alternate it with the days I do strength, not sure yet though. |
So, ladies, I'm having a tough week. I have been super tired, like sleeping until 12, 1, sometimes after 2 pm!! My son wakes me up at 7:30 for a cup, ten at 10:30 to get up, and I feel horrible bc I let him play while I sleep on the couch. I dk wtf is going on. My Dr. has put my on anti-depressants and a sleep aid and while my quality of sleep is better, I'm still tired until the afternoon!! And getting up after lunch means that the only meals left are snack, dinner, snack, theres no way i can cram 1800 calories into the 10 hours I'm awake!!!! What to do... any suggestions are appreciated.

meandmyself- Yeah it is hard to read, but for some reason it cracks me up that you felt the need to speak up about it (Not in a bad way. I like peope who speak up about things b/c I don't. Don't mind me, I find humor in odd things)

Mandey...it cracked me up when you said that the BL made you wanna snack! That is SO funny cause that is how I am! Last night watching them workout made me wanna eat! I was good though. BUT, something about them working their tails off makes me hungry LOL!!!!!! Medina.....I also wonder if it could be the meds...hope you call your doc and I hope you feel better tomorrow! Just an FYI...Jillian was on Jay Leno last night and he asked her how often she works out and she said three times a week...she said its basically the diet. hmmmm....very interesting. She said as a teen she weighed 170 pounds before she started learning martial arts. |
Hi ladies,
Like many of you, I'm having a pretty rough week!! I'm already a bit discouraged that I began the challenge 3 pounds heavier than the start weight I posted when I joined the challenge, mostly due to an unexpected visit from family out of state. I had a good start, but unfortunately after a great workout at the gym on Monday, all my stuff, including my wallet, license, gym card, car keys, and even my winter coat was stolen while I was working out. It was a horrible experience and I don't even know when I'll make it to the gym again. I have a treadmill in my basement and I'm struggling to convince myself to get down there and suck it up because I hate running. I left all my fun workout DVD's at school, and the workouts on FitTV are pretty lifeless. I might end up having to pull out our old TaeBo VHS's to get a workout! |

Medinazarley~ Thanks for the heads up on the calorie intake, Tuesday is a tough day for me when I work 12-13 hrs and I usually don't eat breakfast...no wonder I get headaches. Good luck to you too! :hug: This is the first time I've counted calories. I still need to balance my meals a little better to include fresh fruit and veggies. |
Love reading all of the posts! You are all so encouraging. So far so good for me- I feel like I'm in that 'zone' place regarding my food consumption. Wish you could buy that in a bottle! Today I did NOT eat any cookies or chocolate at my meeting, which was HARD. Now I just need to amek it past my nightime blow-it cravings.

Had a very stressful day at work, which made restraining myself when eating nachos this evening very trying. To make up for it instead of walking the dog I was ran with him. The first time I've ran in a while, so glad I was able to go for 30 min. now to convince myself I can run a 10K later this spring. :o
Keep up the great work ladies!! If you falter- don't worry too much as tomorrow is a new day- onward & upward! Monte- the Red Team badge looks great with the white text- I'd love the graphic as well please ;) |
