Ms Perception~ How are you doing with your to-do list?
ArmyWife02~ WOW! You have been crazy busy! I would love to have a large trampoline, but am currently settling for a small one in my dining room.
So I had myself all talked up to go to the gym at the end of the day yesterday… and I didn’t end up going. I actually fell asleep about 3-4 times on the drive to the gym, so I chose to go home and take what was supposed to be a short nap. Well, I ended up passing out as soon as I laid down and didn’t wake up until my roommate came home with her kids 2.5 hours later. Guess I needed it. I’m not hammering myself too much about it because I think I was being a little unrealistic in thinking that I could jump right into going to the gym every day. So I’ve made my schedule a little bit more relaxed gym wise and just added trampoline workouts for the days I’m not going to the gym. Today I have two hours to kill before my second job, so there is no point in going home and the gym is right by job #2, so a nap won’t get me out of the gym today. I have to keep reminding myself that I can’t make this an all or nothing thing, otherwise I will never be able to stick with the plan long enough to lose weight. This will be my last post before the weekend, so everyone have a wonderful OP weekend!
I am very excited that we are about to finish this Fall's BL Challenge. I think we all did a great job. I hope I can join in the spring one. I am feeling a bit under the weather today, the flu has relasped, so I am just resting.
Antonia (MonteCristo): thank you for stepping up and being such a great leader.
Shan84: I think we all want to hear about your date, please give us all the details.
AW: wow you are an amazing woman, I couldn't do all that you do!
CanadaMel:
KimL: I think you are wonderful!
tinabinab: On passing the 10% mark!
Ms Perception: I tried on an old size 12 skirt, just a bit tight, but I am getting there! I think like most people I seem to have every size under the sky! LOL But when I reach my goal I am giving away things that are too big or if I can have them taken in.
Antonia who is still in the running on both teams for the biggest loser? Can you show us the list?
My spreadsheet with all the info is at work, so I won't be able to give you that information until Monday. I'm really bad about remembering stuff, so you may want to remind me then.
Hey Everyone.. Hope you all had a great week!! We are almost to the wire.. I can not believe we are almost finished of this challenge. I remember being impatient for it to start! That doesn't seem that long ago...lol But funny thing is I was wondering the same thing as Igetfit just last night when I realized how close we are and I looked everyone up..I do not have the numbers for the Red Team.. but I have the list of everyone still in the running, so I figured I would come and post them up for all of us to see in both threads.. haha
Monte-It'll be interesting to see what the numbers are for everyone. I know several of our fabulous women have shown up big several weeks with fantastic weigh-ins, but I'm proud of everyone "still standing"! Good job, ladies!!
As for me, I saw another modest loss this morning to bring me to 133.0 which is only about 1 pound from reaching my WW goal weight. I cannot wait to hit that mark, but with the holidays and all it'll be the BIG challenge to stay there consistantly!! I actually did really well at my 2 older kids' bday parties today, so hopefully I'll keep making good choices and resisting unneccesary calories (with the slight exception of my grandma's delicious goodies, but that's just 1 day).
Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't been on the past two days. Last night was the dinner party with the bf's friends. I was so incredibly nervous. Everything went amazingly well! Even with the language barrier, we all had a good time. Some of his friends showed up early and we chatted for an hour or so. Then everyone else showed up. It was really sweet being introduced as his girlfriend. I don't think I've ever had that crazy wonderful feeling of being introduced like that before. Of all of his friends, two of them are married so they pulled me aside at the beginning of the night asking me all kinds of questions about our relationship, how we met, who made the first move, etc. Haha. Then we barbecued outside on the terrace. I think we had dinner and drinks for a solid 5 hours last night. I woke up with a huge headache, but a big smile on my face because I had such a good time and I think they liked me.
I did step on the scale this morning to take a peak before weigh in, in 2 days, and right now im only showing a small loss. But, hey its something! For everyone whose interested in knowing, its now Sunday here in South Korea. I leave Friday night for Japan!!! For my VACATION!! Woohoo! So, my plan is to weigh in on Friday morning and post that loss as my last loss for this challenge. Then I will catch up with everyone when I come back from Japan the following week! Then its Christmas, and New Year's. Did I mention this is my favorite time of the year???
igetfit- Hope you're feeling better! msperception- That's so awesome that you're that close to goal. I'm excited for you! Do you go to meetings? Do you have any goal celebration plans? Shan84- I'm glad your dinner party went well. And so jealous that you're going to Japan!
So today I finally went to Fleet Feet to get measured for some good running shoes. They looked at my ankles, arches. and the way I walk. She told me I over-pronate and showed me on a model what that means. As soon as I saw how the model was putting so much pressure on the joint at the base of the big toe it clicked: that's why that joint hurts me so much when I speed-walk! So we picked some shoes to correct my over-pronation and I got to test them on the treadmill. I picked a nice pair of New Balances and my mom is going to buy them for me for Christmas (I can't afford them myself). I can't wait to get them; they make me excited to run!
Shan-WOW! How awesome that the night went off so well. I'm SO happy for you! What a wonderful gift for the holidays, huh? So what are you going to do in Japan? I would love to go there someday.
Aclai-I do go to WW meetings as an added level of support. I don't exactly follow their plan, but I find the support and accountability there helpful. Honestly, I don't have goal celebration plans. There's already so much going on this month. I don't even know where to begin celebrating. I guess my "celebration" will be buying more new clothes or something. Any ideas, ladies?
I woke up today with no 132.something, because....I HIT 131.6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, baby! Only a few pounds to go 'til I hit maintenance range. I set my goal for this month too low since I expected a little slower progress. Now I plan to hit goal and end the month there. I know there will be fluctuations along the way, but by the new year I will be at goal and trying my hand at maintenance!

I lost 2.8 LBS this week, for my last week I'm hoping to finish strong. I am hoping to get into the 150's. I am rather tired from the flu coming back, but other then that I am very happy.
Ms. Perception Congrats I know how good it must feel to be so close to your goal.
Ashley: I am still not feeling great but I had a great week on the scale.
Shan: He sounds amazing and lots of fun to be around.

I need to share my proud moment: Today one of my customers gave me a huge box of chocolates for the holidays.
Rather than 'hog' it all to myself (which is very easy to do).
I opened it up & shared it with my co-workers. That way instead of eating 40+ pieces of chocolate myself and suffering the consequences. I accepted the gift & spread the wealth so to speak. I didn't deny myself- I did have 3 pieces- and I enjoyed each of them
WTG Mel - you haev more self control than me. lol i had bought king size twix and kitkats the other night and had put them in the fridge and forgot about them...well i found them tonight after the kids went to bed.....and ate them both. i'll pay for that one. lol i'm going to try to get some workouts in this week. last week was crazy busy since i was helping a neighbor, then spend two different days getting the trampoline together. it's done !! i finished it last night and tried it out for safety reasons (LOL) before i let DD on it. DS had fallen asleep on DD's bedroom floor waiting for me to finish it - so i put him to bed at 615pm last night (when i found him)....poor kid was tired.
it rained today, so didn't get a chance to let the kids play on it...so hoping it dries out tomorrow and we can all have some fun 'exercise' for a while when it's kinda warm outside. they're excited i think it'll be so much fun to play outside now (and hidden exercise as a bonus).
i have to go to the shop on post tomorrow and let them put my van up on the rack to have them check my rack n pinion (hubby said it should be okay till he returns home then he can fix it), but with the cold weather and my parents coming in for the holidays - i wanna make sure it'll stay in one piece till Feb . My mom has agreed to buy new tires, battery, and a front end alignment for my minvan as our (me and hubby) christmas present (and also so the van is safely driveable for when they're here since i'll have to drive the van - since our truck would fit us comfortably)......so i got the battery already...now trying to find a good deal on tires that i want and hope to have less road noise. my current tires are the OE that came on it when we bought it new in July '05...and they're rated for 50K mile tires....i have almost 48K miles on the van - so they are in need of being replaced soon anyway.
so lots to do tomorrow. the tire shop and the on post shop (since they only carry 2 brands and none that i need in my budget) and to walmart to return a couple things.
made an appt with olan mills for fam pics on tues - debating on cancelling....i have done family holiday pics before while hubby's deployed...but i'm tired of having fam pics hanging up or sending to family that dont include the whole family.....so might call to cancel and then just do belated fam pics next year after hubby gets home - so our pics will be complete and actually have the entire family in them i know it cant be easy for him getting pics there (or in email) or see at home of me and the kids without him with us but that's life i guess....holidays just don't feel the same with him gone - but my parents will be here for 1-2 weeks, so i'm trying to get in the spirit of the holidays. and we'll do the rest of our fam christmas in feb when hubby is home to do it with us less than 2 more months!!!! yippee!!! a 12 month deployment! our shortest EVER!!!!! HOOAH!
ETA - Well that turned out a mess. When I go to edit everything is in three nice columns where it is easy to read, but whenever it posts it is all jumbled. I hope you can still read it. The first number is the pounds lost, and the second is the percentage of starting weight lost.
