Good morning Bluesers!

Yesterday's plan mostly went well, although I snacked more than I wanted at my 2nd evening meeting. Had a good night though - got 14 girls signed up for my Brownie group!

Thursday means another session with my trainer; I'm feeling very sore from Tuesday's session, so hoping things will continue to loosen up as the day goes on.

Here's another Quote of the Day for you all:

Good morning Blue Team!

Diva - I'm so sorry about BF's mom. Sometimes the healthcare system can be so stupid. My co-workers mother fell a few weeks ago and broke the ball of her arm bone off (ouch!) in her shoulder and was all messed up, and they were trying to put off her surgery for a week! They sent her home with a sling and the woman's bones were smashed! UGH - medical systems are the pits.

Well, my BIL made a surprise visit with his girlfriend yesterday, so we met them out for dinner and I didn't have time for exercise by the time we got home and helped with Algebra homework (yuck!)

We're in for rain here for the next 5 days, so inside activities for this chickie. I have some new videos (Ballet and Hula dancing) to try out and I have been slack on doing weight training stuff, so I will work on that.

Hoping to stay on plan today again. Anyone have any good snacks that are filling and low cal? I've been eating carrots like they are going out of style and they don't fill me up in between meals. I've tried almonds, reduced fat cheese, and yogurt too. I've just been so ravenously hungry lately, to the point that I am embarrassed by it.

Have a great day girls!

good luck everyone..
amouse awesome job on the exercise BTW. It's a shame they don't show the US version there. I LOVE the aussie version I've watched them all on UTube... when does the next aussie season begin? You might be able to find the US version on the web somewhere.

today i made fake mashed potatoes with cauliflower! my dad didnt even realise! he thoughts they were real mashed potatos.

and i have to admit, they tasted pretty damn good!! i was impressed :-) if i dont say so myself hehehe.
i saw it on the biggest loser, Jillian suggested it , during the trainer tips. it was fun making it
i added my own little ideas to it to make it tasty.

if anyone is interested here is my recipe:

recipe:
i cauliflower head, cut up into florets, removing majority of the white stalks.
steam in a steamer for 40 minutes, until a fork easily goes through them, but dont over cook them
at the same time, saute some onions until brown in olive oil and add some balsamic vinegar, and continue cooking for a little abit longer.
remove from steamer, add 1 teaspoon of salt. black pepper to taste, just under 1 teaspoon of garlic paste. parsley, thyme and a tiny bit of itallian herbs. a little bit of butter, and milk and the onions. and put it all in a food processer. and voila.

disclaimer, make at your own risk and adjust cooking time and herbs/garlic/seasoning to your taste.

if it doesnt come out well. please dont come after me ! hehehe

i am sooo ignorant..... had my teeth pulled yesterday am. and i thought i would be a little tender, but by today i would be right as rain.. boy was i wrong. first off it was two molars. secondly one molor has three roots that grew in diff directions, so he had to cut the tooth into three parts then pull them out individually. i now have stitches, my face feels like someone punched me, i have had nothing to eat in two days cept chicken noodle soup and diet pudding, and exercise prob wont happen for at least a few more days.

i hope everyone is doing well and brushing and flossing lol.

Hi everyone,
I still have this cold but I am pushing through it and staying on track with my diet and exercise. Seriously, I am such a baby when I am not feeling well so I am surprised I haven't just curled up on the couch for the past few days.

Echo, I have wanted to try that recipe before but for some reason I never get around to it. I am going to make a point of making it next week though!

Twilightwing, ouch! I hope you are feeling better soon

Diva, I hope your future MIL gets the surgery soon.

Naia, congratulations on your new baby niece!

One snack that always fills me up for a long time is cottage cheese with frozen blueberries with cinnamon on top. I also snack on sugar snap peas quite a bit.

Keep up the great work blue team

Just poppin in to say "Hi". Had a long day today. We had back to school night were I work and I just got home. No time for a workout today cause I got up too late this morning. Will count today as my day of rest. Calories were great right at 1400.

Hope everyone has a great night!

Hello fellow Bluesers!

Had a great day today an everything was balanced and in harmony. I had enough cal, fat and protein and light on the carbs again but I feel better with the level of carbs I have been getting.

Howdy team !

Hope everyone had/is having a great day. My day was really great. Managed to wear the dogs out at the dog park and walked to my water aerobics class tonight. Eating was right on target as well.

Have a great Friday !!

Ok is third time the charm? This will be my third attempt at posting.

Hugs to all those going through rough times

Hi fives to those who are staying on plan this first week of the challenge

Anybody else watch last years Greys season finale? I balled my eyes out again, even though I knew what was gonna happen. Can't wait til next weeks opener, I'll be sitting in the recliner with my box of tissues.

I've had a hectic week. Had to find alternate daycare, sitter and her hubby have H1N1. Got a flat, found out we have fleas in the house, employer took away our sick days, DD is complaining of sore throat and stomach ache, and DS is crying uncontrollably...I've been trying to make reasonable choices eating wise (Stress eater). Exercise hasn't been as good as I would like but I'm ready to come on strong at the end of the week. Ok I'm off to exercise, wash bottles and put flea powder on the carpet. Everyone have a great night

Keep up the hardwork Blue!
