Diva, when I make steel cut oats I find that if I soak them in water overnight they cook up in the morning much quicker. I've never used a slow cooker with them but others do. I haven't had steel cut oats in a while. Think I'll go soak a few for tomorrow.

Diva - I make a batch and divide it into 4 or 8 portions. I think how much extras you add is really personal taste. I've tried odd things such a coco powder too. (Was odd but interesting) Blueberries etc are good too.

Well team it looks like I made it back down to 100 lost. It's a lot more anti-climatic since I made it there once before last summer, but I'm still happy about it. I've lost nearly 40lbs the last 4 months or so that I had gained back. I need to lose another 15 or so before I'm in new territory, which I'm really looking forward to.

Good afternoon team

This morning I did my weight workout and tonight I am going to try to squeeze in a cardio workout. I really think I need to do more cardio in order to see the pounds drop a little quicker. I've been on plan eating wise but I'm a little worried about the weigh-in tomorrow, as my sodium intake was high yesterday.

Echo, good for you for putting back the chocolate. Great loss this week as well  Good luck on your exam!

Idealmuse, way to go!! That is awesome!!

Roni, I have Steel Cut Oats that I cook in the microwave and then I add a bit of skim milk and cinnamon. Adding cut up apples sounds delicious!

I hope everyone who is having a rough time right now has a better week. Hang in there

Argh!!! Trying to behave yesterday to make up for pizza on Friday...Did ok till grocery shopping last night...Cheerios snack mix is one of my pitfalls, and I've been avoiding that aisle for the past month. Sure enough, my weight was up this morning. Guess I'm holding off till tomorrow morning for my weigh in! Oh well! Gotta have a treat once in a while I guess. Good luck to everyone! Get that final push in today!

i lost 3 lbs this week which im pretty happy about considering i have spent a lot of it in bed holding my cheek lol.. today im finally able to move a bit without feeling like im dying.. im not doing too much today as i dont want to push it essentially the first day out of bed, but i did clean up my room(which sorely needed it). i feel so lazy now from not doing any exercise all week.. im going to start my walks back tomoz. a morning one and an evening one and will do more as i feel better and gain more energy.
eating is going to be a challenge for me. i can no longer chew.. im in the process of getting all my teeth pulled (as i cn afford it) so as of wed i no longer have any spot left in my mouth to chew.. have teeth here and there, but without bottom or top mates to chew against lol.... so i not only have to figure out low cal, but Soft low cal lol... wish me luck... if liquid diets werent so bad for you in the long run i would just do slim fast three times a day and forget it lol.. would be loads easier
hope youre all having a great day...

Okay....my uncle thinks it is 1969....... He is doing better today since they took out the incubation tube and he is able to eat solids. I will weigh in the morning so I am hoping it will be a good weigh in.

Thank you for all the positive thoughts and prayers.

Well here goes my first real try at personals so forgive me if I get anything wrong, it's just kind of nice to see that people read what you put and respond so here I go:

Gatorgirl: how it the personal trainer? I am thinking of getting one but don't know if the price they are quoting me is good or not $59.00hr but you can by packages to make it cheaper so will see.

Amouse: wow size 16 that's awesome, I can barley get into my 18's and I have 16 and 14's so can hardly wait to get back into them (only about 30lbs to go) and I hope you are feeling better soon.

Nella: 178.8 WTG

idealmuse: I have big arms myself so I know how happy you must be to see the loss there, congrats.and also big congrats to see the 100 gone again. I think you should celebrate it as it is a new loss.

iwanawurkat: I hope your uncle is doing okay best wishes coming your way.

newshinyme: good luck with the move

sood2BFitChick: congratulations on the loss.

Tina30: Hi nice to meet you. I also am looking forward to new moon coming out. I just saw twilight as I have such a picture of Edward in my head I was scared to see the movie as it might crush my image. Have to say "my" Edward is still better

inklestinkle: WTG on the 4lbs

Echo: Way to put back the chocolate and WTG on the weight loss

Lil Pixie: I hope that you feel more like yourself soon, hang in there were all here for you.

Dixied: To bad about the long hours they are not fun but WTG on still getting the running in. I don't know how you do it. By the way did you show those dustbunnies whos boss?

Nixmom: Hope you don't have to keep up with the extra hours for long.

Mebhealthy: I think treats are okay now and then so don't feel bad. If we could never treat ourselves again I don't think it would be realsitic for a lifestyle change.

Well as for me I had weigh in this morning and the scale said -4 so that's a total of -8 for my official weigh in and I am off to post the results. I hope it sticks and goes down even further next week.

Keep up the great work blue team.

Just completed my weigh-in and hadn't lost, but hadn't gained, either. DH has a really, really busy week at work that will include a few dinners out, so it'll just be me, which makes it SOOO much easier.

I made some tartar sauce yesterday to encourage me to eat my fish this week. I can't do it with just lemon, so figure 1t of homemade sauce is OK. I also made some hummus to encourage me to snack on my veggies.

Twilight, I can't imagine what you're going through! I had all four wisdom teeth out at once, thinking it would be easier, and the pain was almost overwhelming. Facing having them all removed, even if only one or two at a go, takes a brave woman!!

Well, here's to a strong start to a new week for all of us!

Just popping in to report my progress. I am at 235.2 this morning so I am down 1.6. I plan to have a better report next week! I was off plan somewhat this weekend - out of town and not as easy to make good choices - but I didn't gain as much as I normally would have on a weekend away! This week I am on plan again. I did my C25K workout already and have healthy food planed for the day. Off to get some groceries on the way home from work - need to plan a menu and make a list of what I need. I am also going to be very vigilant this week in keeping a journal - I have slacked on that lately and that needs to be remedied!

GO BLUE!!!!!!!!
