Hi everyone. Just a quickie as I am dying of exhaustion and need to get out of the office chair and go lay down. I made it through another day of commuting the kids an hour each way to school - man will I be glad when it is Friday and I move to my new house. My Mom and I had a huge argument yesterday which seems to have blown over (she like to pretend big arguments never happened, I don't but she's here to help out and I need it so I am letting it go). So today was much less stressful. I didn't eat very well for the little food I did eat, but I doubt it will do anything to my weight. I'm starting to get actually hungry which is more than a little annoying since I still can't swallow all that well. I think I am going to try some plain noodles tonight and head to bed early and just DVR my shows

Scale said 197 today which is awesome but I hate losing weight without exercising - I feel like I am cheating haha. I will feel a whole lot better in another week or ten days when I am cleared to run again and I can eat normal food and sleep better at night.

Hope everyone is having a great day and enjoy TBL tonight - remember there are people on the West Coast that haven't seen it yet so no spoilers!!!

Hello all. I'm at the heaviest I've ever been and I'm so ready to get this weight off. I'm going good exercise wise and I'm fine foodwise until the evenings. I'm trying to decide if I want to count calories or do WW's. I probably need to do a little more research on both and then make my decision. Excited about getting started and kicking the Blue Team's butt.

You should be able to attend a free meeting at WW to try it out if you want.

Ashley - Thanks for reminding me about the free meeting. I completely forgot. I think I have a coupon for a free month.

Wow- lots of chatter today- tough to keep up.

had a good day at work & I enticed the kids & hubby to walk the dog with me & we checked out a new cafe near by. Kids had gelato- I had a lemon ice which was yummy

Don't know when/if TBL is on up north & we don't have cable- so i'll read the recaps etc.

Hey everyone! Well I did pretty good yesterday, but today was another story. I ended up eating pretty badly, and didn't get to exercise because the elliptical broke, so I did homework instead (which really needed to get done). I am also trying to decide between counting calories and weight watcher points, but I will be doing WW on my own. I counted calories last spring and lost 15 pounds in about 2 months. Then I got fitted for a bridesmaid dress and went on vacation the next day and got completely off track. I kept telling myself I had to maintain, not lose, so that I could fit in the dress and ended up gaining back 7 pounds (but didn't gain any inches!). Right now I am giving the WW points a try, hopefully it works! I'm having trouble fitting in the amount of exercise that I would like due to going to school 5 days a week and working the other two. But Oct. 18 will be my last day at work so that I can have the weekends to concentrate on school/exercise. I'll graduate in December then start my new job at a school.

Well tomorrow is a new day, and even though I can't exercise as much as I'd like right now, I can be very careful about what I eat. So I WILL do better tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. Goodnight Red Team!

Okay I so mega proud of myself for two reasons.

1. I have finally run a consistent 10:42 miles for 3 MILES (see I told I am still slow but I am so happy to be under 11:06 I don't know what to do)

2. I didn't feel like going to run yesterday so instead I took a nap (like an hour). When I woke up I felt bad for not running and was to eat something (emotional eater here ) but instead I told myself if I only run 3 miles then I would have done SOMETHING and then I can quit. Well I did my 3 miles at a 10:42 PACE and I did quit but only because I got to the gym so late and absolutely had to be back at the house for by 8:00 for TBL!

Kim – Seems like you had a pretty busy yesterday. How did everything workout?

MsPerception – Yes the Monthly challenges. That is awesome what you are doing. Back when I met you were in the middle of moving and trying to stay focused. WTG

Amber – WTG on NOT buying chips!

Bradleysmom – I couldn’t wait to get home last night. I am so glad the season has started. It motivates me to work really hard. IDK why it just does.

Angela – Are you teacher? Forgive I must have missed it somewhere. Also once you start weight training and working out in general (at least in the first couple weeks) when your muscles will retain fluid because they are recovering (lactic acid). Your body will eventually adjust. Just keep getting in your fluid and continue your plan like have been. Good Luck

Igetfit – That is awesome what you are doing. Everything will go fine.

Cakses – I hope you feel better

Timeforme –
It gets easier. And then as soon as you are comfy with 2 miles, you will just push yourself harder…LOL. You are doing great

LadyBug – I do WW’s as well. I really love it!!

Zoochick – I like your attitude. That is right today is a new day. A chance to start all over. And remember we are here for you!

Just popping in real quick before my workout.... haven't watched Biggest Loser yet, as I was working and DVRed it. Probably won't get to it until Friday night unfortunately. Anyway, hope you all are doing well with your eating and working out!

Hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!!! I think that if I lacked motivation before watching TBL last night certainly gave me the motivation to continue. I usualy do not become emotionally vested in TV shows but I think within minutes last night I became vested. I even cried and I do not cry easily.

My son had a football game last night and they lost big time and he is so down right now. It makes me so sad to see him emotionally defeated. I am sure this afternoon will not be any better as he will go to school and hear all the smack talk. I am just hoping it is not too bad. he did very well, but he just takes it all so personally just to be 11. I keep telling him even Peyton Manning looses games and thows interceptions and that when he was 11 he was not perfect either, but who believes what their mom says right??

Anyway, I did very well eating yesterday. I did not even think about visiting the concession stand during the game. That is one good thing about having your kids on the field. I am so preoccupied watching them, I could care less about snacks. I did not get any offical exercise but I chased and I mean chased Baby Andrew around for about 2 hours last night so that has to count for a little something, right? at least I was moving.

So the plan for today is eating on plan and getting some exercise!! easy enough, I hope...

Cakebatter- way to go on your running you are a Superstar!!!!

Oh, I am going to love this season of TBL! Everyone seems so nice! I know the meanness doesnt come out til later in the season though! I usually pick a team to root for but I am having a hard time deciding!

I weighed myself this morning and I am down 3.6 lbs!! I cant believe it, I have been stuck at 280 since the baby was born, 10 months ago, (had no motivation to try to lose it!)

GO ALL YOU REDDIES!!!!

It feels excellent to have made a decision to take back my life! Just worked out the entire 2 hours it took to watch last night season premier on tape. They should run the show 7 nights a week!

Good Morning Red Team. Not much new with me. Watched the show last night. So inspiring. And such heart wrenching stories from everyone on it. Makes me grateful for the small problems I have in my life.

Just wanted to pop in. Be back later.

Greetings Ladies!

Doing as well as I can here...seeing as how my life has been absorbed by a huge bubble of stress...Just alot of cooking, a rehersal dinner for my friends wedding, and then the actual wedding on Sat. Hopefully by Sunday everything will calm itself down.

Zoochick and Ladybug
: I have done both WW and Calorie Counting and been successful with both. I love WW because of the accountability and support (if you find a good meeting!), and I love calorie counting because it is versatile and well...free! If it makes a difference, as I mentioned in a precvious post WW is running a promotion right now where you get two months for the price of one.

Amber-: I agree, it's going to be hard to pick a favorite this season on TBL.

Igetfitnstrong: When I lived with my Mom she had a mini-trampoline and I used it quite a bit. It was great to use while watching TV because it can be so mindless.

Well, I'm off to see what comes of today...or rather what I can make of it!
