Just a quick hello to everyone. I have been struggling the past few weeks with my self-control around food. I finally feel like I am in a better place to make good decisions. Yesterday was a good day and today will be a great one too!
Eny, your pictures are lovely, particularly the one where DD is hugging you when you are kissing DH. What a precious memory. Your dress was indeed gorgeous and DD's green dress is the same color dress I had when I was her age. Mine was velvet and made specially for Christmas.
Bette k, I think you can use a few of these. Hope things start to look up for you.
Chiquita, now that you know you need to make better choices and get serious you're half way there. Now you have to do what you know you have to do.

WE WON????!!!!! I just got on line and never checked the other thread and didn't know until I read pintobean and MonteCristo's posts. Congratulations Mindy on being the biggest loser this week. WTG RED TEAM!
I've been busy, busy, busy all morning. I'm getting ready for Canadian Thanksgiving coming up on Oct. 13. My DS and DIL are coming for the weekend and we have a church Thanksgiving potluck besides our own dinner to plan for so I'm trying to get ahead of the game. I was at the grocery store before 8:30 am and had bread rising for rolls before I left for the store. I also made calzones for the weekend, split pea soup for lunch and gave mom her bath. I have pies and cakes to put together yet but probably that'll be for tomorrow. I'm so tired as I was on my feet since 7 am. I just sat down to eat and read a few threads. I have a sinkful of dishes (this is a common theme you'll hear over and over again) to clean and a dishwasher full of clean dishes. DS had his soup in a beer mug because every bowl in the house was either dirty or in the dishwasher. Ha, ha. I'll rest awhile and then tackle the kitchen, a 5k jog and 5k bike ride. But now I'll put my feet up for a few minutes and catch up on a few more threads. Catch you all later on this evening.

Way to go red team. Wish I could say I helped this week I have decided to mix things up a bit, I am walking/running 2 miles then doing the 30 day shred video. Maybe that will help me over this hump. Doesn't help when hubby and I get in fights over stupid stuff. Just stressed. Hope you all have a lovely day, its rainy here in st. louis, that doesn't help with my mood.
retiredone--you are going on a 5K jog AND a 5K bike ride? WOW! You just made me feel waaay out of shape! I was patting myself on the back for Saturday's 4.5 miles of jogging/walking which I did in (count'em) 3 separate outings!
You have just become my motivation today to get off my butt, off the
and go start my exercise for the day! Today I'm taking the dogs and hoping for at least 3 miles, then swim tonight at 6, generally at least 1 mile. After a nap in between
Good morning!
YAY! We won! I am feeling a lot better this morning. I think it is in my best interset to take one more day off from walking. It is supposed to be close to 90 here today, so I think it will be too much. I am going to walk tomorrow though. Then if that goes ok, I will hit the gym Thursday after work.
I can't wait for this weekend. I am going to pamper myself at the salon and get my hair done! I am SO excited!
I haven't been exercising, but at least I have been getting my fluids!
Anyway, I better get back to work. I just wanted to check in and say hi!
Congrats to Mindy and the whole RED team for being the BIGGEST LOSERS!
Yippee Red Team! We did it!
I second the idea that we should make it two weeks in a row!
Things are still not going well for me. Still sick, which has led to eating badly and no exercise. I just can't seem to kick this fever. It was really hard to make myself go to work this morning, but I somehow made it. I'm not commiting to any exercise yet, but I am going to stick to 1500 calories today. I promise!
Modcat, I jog around the house, indoors and the 5k bike ride is on my exercise bike. I didn't start out doing 10k a day. It just worked up to that over time. You should pat yourself on the back. A 4.5 mile walk/jog out side is way more difficult than inside. I can hardly jog outside at all because the pavement is uneven, full of pothole, lots of gravel on the road, cars, dogs, people wanting to talk, etc...So I'd say you're doing just great! You're a motivation to me.
