Muse - Awesome freaking job on the triathalon!! Wow what an accomplishment!
Danielle - WTG on the progress. I know what ya mean about the gym clothes. My shirts are getting baggy and I feel like a bum when I go! I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Just seems too young for someone to go through that. Karen - I've wanted to check out the Bare Minerals Make-up. I'm a pretty low maint. girl myself. Do you just order online? Agggh gotta get in the shower. This week is determined to kick my butt!! Everyone else - sorry and have a great day! |

So sorry to hear about your friend. Is a very nice thing that the little child won't be left with strangers. Things are going to be tough enough for him. Beauty product Moisture on call by Clinique. The stuff makes my skin feel great. I have been using it since my early 20's. Muse Terrific, terrific, terrific. :) |

I am in the auto ship club directly from Bare Minerals. You can set it up to receive shipments at different time increments. The normal is every other month. I go every 3 months and they break down my payments into 2 payments. When you order through Bare Minerals club directly they will sometimes send you free gifts like a brush or their moisturizer to try. I don't always get a free gift but I wonder if it's because I'm on the 3 month schedule? The first time I purchased it, I got it at an Ulta store when I was visiting my sister. They have starter kits that have all the basics (no eyeshadow or blush, but they do come with warmth). I also sometimes purchase off of QVC online. You might check there to see if they have any deals on starter kits to try before you commit. Also I have purchased pieces from Faceetc.com. They are a little cheaper but don't have all the colors. They will sometimes substitute (or rather offer as a alternative) their generic products. I've tried one of their blushes and it was fine. |
I'm still struggling for whatever reason. I had a few good days and now I'm fighting it again. I didn't get my initial pushup test done yet. Monday evenings are my late night at my second job and then I had to come home to pack for a business trip.
I will be gone to a business trip for a few days and am going to do my best to eat as healthy as possible while I'm gone. I did see that my hotel has a fitness room so I've packed workout clothes and shoes. I'm taking my computer because I think there is internet access. If there isn't then I may be gone from 3FC for a few days, but I'll be back on Friday. I'll check in before that if I can. What will I do with my evenings since I won't have to go to my night job? ;) Oh yeah, my hotel is very close to a mall!! |
{{{{{{Karen}}}}}} I'll miss you gf!!!
Oh, and get them Push-ups done woman! I'm sore this morning from my day 1. The good sore! The kind that tells me, there may some booby lifting action going on! hehe :D |
Good Morning everyone! Running behind because of results so I'm just flying by to wish everyone a wonderful OP day!!

Well, Mel asked me to post the QOTD, and I had a really good one yesterday, but for the life of me I can't remember it....
So...I had a little situation with Jess last night that infuriated me. He cut himself a 3 serving size slice of cake, and even though he was in the back watching TV, he felt the need to plop down right in front of me and ate this cake w/a HUGE glass of MY Milk. I was watching a movie and it was right at the end or I would have just left the room. But then I thought to myself, why in :censored: should "I" have to leave the room? it was soooooo hard to resist the site and smell of what he was doing but I did it, and I didn't crumble! I had Day 1 OP and day 1 of a non binge eating night so HA! I am convinced now more than ever that he doesn't want to see me succeed. He wants to keep me fat for whatever reason, but I was strong. I think that once I realized what he was doing (with a little help from Mel), I feel like I have control again. :) So the QOTD is: Does your significant other and/or family members support your new lifestyle, or do you find that they try to Sabotage you at every given chance? |
Does your significant other and/or family members support your new lifestyle, or do you find that they try to Sabotage you at every given chance?
DH used to sabotage but I don't think all that consciously. He is a very snacky person by nature, always has been but seemed like he ALWAYS suggested DQ or something from the bakery whenever I really got going good on food or with the exercise. It finally took me confronting him after I read Bob's book and having to tell him that I was moving on with the next phase of my life and NOT looking back. This included leaving him behind if I had to. Hardest thing I've ever done, but you know what, it was what he needed. Ever since then he has been totally supportive and committed himself to a new healthy lifestyle as well. He has been by my side every step of the way now and it's been awesome! My kids, well, they just want their ole mom healthy so of course they support me. My DS in particular I think worries about me so he is always been my voice of "reason" when I have wanted junk food or to stop w/ the exercise. |
Toni – Congrats on a great week – amazing what we can do when we stick to it!!
Army wife – You have to give me your secret to getting the kids to sleep in – mine are always up by 7 (usually 6!!) Heather – So awesome that you and your mom get to take a trip together – free is even better! Hope you have a great time. Lonnie – I’m sure you made the right choice with your “friend”. As I get older, I’ve come to realize I don’t want to waste my precious time on people who aren’t worth it. I’d rather have one great friend to hang out with than a ton of aquantenices. Diva – I’m glad you are back on track – I think my favorite part of your work out would be dancing around the living room – the kids and I love doing that!! Danielle – I just wish some day our kids would realize how much we gave up to stay around and take care of them – but I doubt it will ever happen. At least I feel I made the right choice, no matter how crappy a job I end up with!! Great job on the big loss – nice work. So sorry to hear about your friend and her son. A friend of mine passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago and left behind four kids. I have a very difficulty time understanding why things like this happen….. I hope her son realizes how much his mom loved him and does well with his aunt and uncle. It’s nice that you had the opportunity to reconnect with her. Jelynn – Hope you had a great day at the lake yesterday. I so much prefer taking the kids outside for something compared to the craziness of like Chuck E Cheese!! Muse – you are awesome! Congrats on the Triathalon!! Karen – enjoy your trip – don’t forget – walking the mall is exercise too!! I’m sure I’ve missed a few – hope everyone has an awesome, on plan day. Sorry, I missed the question yesterday – time to catch up -- beauty product?? -- I’ll admit I’ve let myself go -- I would have to say Loreal Bare Natural mineral finish powder and any kind of face cream to keep the wrinkles from taking over! Does your significant other and/or family members support your new lifestyle, or do you find that they try to Sabotage you at every given chance? My husband is being fairly supportive this time around – I think he had lost his patience with my “on again/off again” dieting for the past 10 years! He’s been pretty decent. My kids have been noticing and it’s been difficulty to keep it low key – I’m sure the kids at school know that their mom goes to WW by now!! |
My husband is totally supportive. When someone on this site told me about fit day he helped me a whole weekend put foods into fit day. When I say I want this or that he will say are you sure you want that. He never says I shouldn't have anything he just reminds me to think about it twice. He makes sure he doesn't have things in the house that I don't allow myself. He makes sure everyone leaves me alone during my exercise time. He is terrific. I am so sorry for all of you that don't have supportive spouses. I have never really understood why a spouse will complain about the weight gain but not support a person to get the weight off. I have to wonder if these people are like that in all aspects of the marriage or just about weight loss.

Well I have no significant other at the time but my two closest friends have been very supportive. My roommate (whom I've talked to about my binge eating problems) is always there if I need to gripe instead of eat. My best guy friend who doesn't know the nitty gritty details but knows I've been working on myself keeps healthy vegan snacks around for when we hang out. I began a vegan diet/lifestyle in the beginning of May and for the most part have had support with this as well. I hate that some of you don't have this support system as it has really been vital for me. Can you talk to those who are enabling/being non-supportive about how much it bothers you? |
