Does your significant other and/or family members support your new lifestyle, or do you find that they try to Sabotage you at every given chance?

Supportive. At least as much as he can without me telling him to back the crap off. I'm a bit on the independent side and hate hovering. He does, however, tell me that he's proud of me and will usually go to the gym with me (at least on the weekends) or else dogwatch while I do go the gym during the week. He's not perfect but he is definitely not sabotaging me. If he were, there would be a discussion and one more try - before we were done - completely. I'm not doing all this hard work for fun or even to be "just skinny". I'm doing it because it makes me happy and healthy and because it is NEEDFUL for me. This isn't something I take lightly and I made SURE that he knew that.

It's starting to look like to me that this is gonna have to be another one of them make us or break us conversations. Because all I know is I thought it was VERY inconsiderate of him to do that last night and I even made mention of it, by coming back into the room and saying, "How dare you eat that in front of me". Now if that wasn't a DIRECT hint to get the **** up and leave the room with that, I don't know what is. GAWD< I am so sick of this.....

Sorry for the slight gain this week but I have a good reason... this weekend way my first Triathalon! I'm going to work on a long post to post somewhere on 3fatchicks in another day or two. But the rundown is...

It was a beautiful day and everything went really smooth.

Overall Rank - 1184 out of 3650 total people

Class Rank - 155 of 370 for my age group 30-34

Swim - 19:50

Swim Rank - 2221 out of 3650 total people

Bike - 39:45

Bike Rank - 190 out of 3650 total people (190? Holy crap!!!)

MPH - 18.7 on Bike

Run - 35:48

Run Rank - 2227

Pace - 11:33 per mile (That's just over 5.25 mph)

Final Time - 1:42:09

I had so much fun! I'm a triathlete now! Woot!

Now I need to work off those carbs I loaded on before the race... retaining some water because of it.

CONGRATULATIONS TRIATHLETE! I remember when I did my first and the thrill it was to cross the line! The first one is so special! I follow your training log over on BT, by the way (mine is hidden)... you put in so much work to do this race. You should be SO PROUD! :congrat:

Amazingly, colossally, fantastically, and incredibly supportive.

He will buy OP foods, cook, weigh all ingredients, look up calorie counts for me, split meals in restaurants - letting me pick what works best for me - even if it isn't his favorite.

He is the best cheerleader and diet buddy anyone could have :)

Good job on the weight loss this week REDS! We really had a great week! Let's see if we can top it this week :)

Good Morning Girls. Today is my weigh-in day and despite being a slacker this weekend I managed to lose 2.2 this week. I was hoping for a tad more so I could hit an even 30lbs gone since I started but oh well what's one more week before progress pictures go up?

fat chick
Nice going on the weight loss.

Diva
It was very inconsiderate. You should be treated better than that.

Hun.e.B 07-16-2008 09:24 AM

Good Morning Red team!! I think we found our sunshine here again! It was nice to have a little break in the heat. I get my girls back today!!! Its been kind of a stressful week with them gone and dealing with dh stuff, but I got some relief last night and now my girls are coming back! Life is looking up!

I made a goal for myself to workout for every Big Brother episode, but havent done it yet..and I'm even gonna miss it tonight. I need to get on my darn goals!!

Have a fantastic day Red team!!

StacyLynn225 07-16-2008 09:53 AM

Hi Everyone!

I've been MIA lately...and i've missed a lot! I'll try to find time to read the past few days worth of posts to catch up.

I had a bad few days eating over the weekend. I'm always good about what I eat during the week so i'm back on track there. And i'm hitting the gym tonight so that will be going good also!

Soooo....My big news! My favorite band, O.A.R, is coming here to St. Louis this weekend to play a free show downtown. Well on my way home Sunday from Kentucky Lake I found out they are also playing a private show on Friday at lunchtime at one of the casinos here but you could only win tickets...not buy them. So yesterday...I WON TICKETS!! I am so incredibly excited! The bar/restaurant they are playing at only has a capacity of like 200 so i'm excited to see how intimate the setting will be! I can't wait 'til Friday!

Hope everyone else is doing well, staying OP and getting in all of their exercise.

Fat Chick B Gone 07-16-2008 10:32 AM

Stacy that's awesome!! I like O.A.R also! What a cool venue to see one of your favorite bands in!

StacyLynn225 07-16-2008 11:19 AM

Heather - Its been so hard to explain my excitement to everyone because most people are like "Who? OAR? I've never heard of them". I'll let you know how it is. I can't wait!

Diva 07-16-2008 01:50 PM

Good afternoon everyone. :)

I just finished my workout. I did:

32 minutes TM (HIIT)
100 crunches
Weights: Arms, chest, legs, back
Week 1, day 2 100 Push-up Challenge.

I was running a lil' late, but I still got to see Muscle dude. He spoke to me first today. ;) He's so beautiful........Came home and finished up and ate. Now my arms are shaking.

Anywho, anybody know what to do with the ipod Nano freezes? I have tried reseting it and everything and it just won't do anything. It's stuck on my Workout 2 Playlist and that's it. I had to do my TM workout w/out music, which meant I had to listen to everyone talk about boring politics and economics. grrrrrrr

MonteCristo 07-16-2008 01:56 PM

Roni - The only time my iPod (not nano) ever froze, I had to just let it sit until the battery went dead. Then I charged it, and it worked fine. It took several days though.

Hun.e.B 07-16-2008 02:22 PM

Roni my dd's ipod video is frozen too, its got a pick of a sick ipod on it. It wont charge or anything, but when I was trying to troubleshoot that, it said that when you plug in your ipod, in itunes there should be a prompt to check for updated software. Give that a whirl. Didnt work for us because her ipod doesnt even register to itunes...sick lil ipod!

Diva 07-16-2008 02:49 PM

I dl'ed the itunes updates and restarted my pc, plugged in the ipod and still nothing. I thought seriously about slamming it up against the wall, but changed my mind. lol....went back later and tried resetting it again and it worked.

Broke out the instructions after I FINALLY located them and did this:

To reset ipod nano:
1. Slide the Hold switch to HOLD and back again.
2. The press Menu & the center buttons at the same until the apple logo appears.
3. then press Menu and it was fixed. :)
