Hi gals! I'm excited about being on the black team. After several years of watching TBL and lamenting about my changing (over 40) body and feeling defeated, I finally have accepted what I have to do. In February, DH and I did a consultation for lapbands. Our insurance turned us both down. Which is okay because it really wasn't the route I wanted to go; but would have if that is what it took to get the weight off. But, shortly after the consultation, I joined the local fitness center and fell in love with working out again. Since that consultation, I've lost about 12 pounds and feel successful again. I am partcipating in the Fitness Center's Biggest Loser challenge that started about 3 weeks ago.

This is exactly what I did the last challenge. Lost around 3 lb every week at first and then basically kicked around the same few until the end. I think the most important thing is to stay in the challenge to the end even if you are struggling...stick it out and don't drop out and you have at least accomplished something. I lost 15 lb. last time, aiming for more this time around. We can do this, just have to stay focused somehow.
