(I'm not sure if you've already done it cause I haven't checked the exercise thread yet :dizzy:)

When next week starts on Sunday, a Week 2 thread will be made and you can post your numbers for week 2 there. ;)

Sorry, I meant I am done with the exercises that we are doing as a red team....the plank, pushups, chair, ect. and wanted to know where to put those.

But, I am about 20 min from being done with the other plane trip one too!

Fat Chick B Gone 05-02-2008 02:21 PM

Hey Ladies. What is HIIT?? I've seen a few people around here use it.

Jewel, I think Melissa is going to post us a challenge real soon, possibly sometime today. I think she just wants us to have our numbers ready. :) BTW, I HATE the Plank. I am convinced that the Devil invented that move.

HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. I've never done it so I'm not even going to pretend I know how to explain it. Its hard to get an exact definition because some people use it for cardio, some people use it for weights and so on. But I did find this:

It seems to have some good info! Hope it helps!

Thanks Diva! I do vary my intensity level, maybe not to their exact forumla, but do mix it up. Good to know I'm doing something good!

I've seen a thread on 3FC where Jillian used to come in a post (some personals even) every once in a while. She actually posted her before pics in there too. It was quite interesting.

Bob's book is in the mail to me. I can't wait!

WOW...that would so cool to see Jillian's pics. I wonder if they are still here somewhere.... :chin:

I think I will have to get Bob's book and see what it is all about.

My doggie went in to get neutered today. Everyone think happy thoughts for my baby! I haven't eaten anything yet....I will soon. I hate having to leave my baby at the vet.

Hope everyone has a great day and weekend! Hopefully my dog won't be in too much pain!

Cool link. Seems I have been doing that with my elliptical and not even knowing it..... :D I read somewhere that it was better to do intervals and my elliptical has the setting. I think I might get a heart rate monitor. Anyone know of a good one and where to get it??

Sending positive thoughts your doggies way! We got Ozzy fixed not to long ago, and he was fine. One day of sleeping and being lazy and the next day he was back to himself. :)

I have a Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor.

I love it.

I bought it at REI but it is also available at the Polar Website.

It does a whole bunch of stuff, including track each exercise activity (time exercised, number of calories burned and amount of time in 'Zone'), each weeks' total exercise activity as well as a TOTAL for the life of the monitor (unless you choose to erase it).

It also synchs with all the exercise equipment at the gym so I can see my heart rate on the elliptical or the treadmill without holding onto the handles.

It does require a chest strap which is not terribly comfortable and does take some getting used to.

ABout the Jillian personal threads: do a search for Jillian Michaels and go back about three years or so. She did post a pic of herself when she was an overweight teen.

I was fortunate to receive a personal reply from her!!
