Oops! I did the one leg stand wrong. I had the leg that was up folded under me instead of out straight. I will have to re-do those! ;)

How far up are we talking here?

Idealmuse 05-02-2008 03:43 PM

Wait how do we do the leg balance thing? I think I did mine wrong too I did them like bob does on TBL workout #1. Gotta Re-do.

Idealmuse 05-02-2008 03:46 PM

Hey girls quick!

Cheap HR monitor on Woot today $20.00! Its a Reebok. Not super fancy but has a chest strap so it's a fairly good one that usually would run around $70 range.

www.woot.com

I can't decide if I should get a back-up for my Polar.

earthgrl3 05-02-2008 03:51 PM

1. What would you like us to call you? earthgrl, Darcee

2. What eating plan are you using? Weight Watchers Online

3. What is your favorite way to exercise? Cardio!!!! Specifically an arctrainer....it's similar to an elliptical but no arm movement, all legs.

4. What is one area of weightloss that you struggle with? binge eating

5. What is one area of weightloss that you excel at? excercise, but I only get to really truly go at it on my days off

6. What is your short term goal? to meet my WW 10% mark. 5# to go!!

7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? a mani/pedi. It's warm here already, sandal season and I've never indulged myself with either of them.

8. Best weight loss tip? Surround yourself with supportive people. My parents live with me and have gotten used to my eating separately (my mom cooks a lot of the meals and is old school meat and potatoes. I'm a vegetarian and making a lifestyle change....they don't go together). And there are quite a few of us at work trying to live healthier lifestyles, four of us on WW. So we trade food ideas that we have found that keep us OP.

9. Bob or Jillian? Jillian. I'd dislike her at first, but she'd be the one to push push push.

10. Tell us a little about yourself! I'm a single mother of 3: 2 DS's and 1 DD. I'm an RN, love my career, just not every moment of every day. I'm a HUGE fan of music. I only really turn my nose up to country and rap, otherwise I'll listen to about anything. I'm an avid reader, I always have my nose in a book. Love the outdoors, going to different state parks and wandering around with the munchkins getting filthy lol. Always looking for something new to explore. Originally from the Midwest.

I'm struggling with what to use as reward for our challenge (because I'm going to accomplish my goals!). I am single with no children, and I reward myself often (not reward myself often because I'm single with no kids, but because I don't have anyone to spend the extra cash on. Selfish? Perhaps. - I do overbuy for my nephew and my sister gets on my case about it! ;)) I can't think of anything that would be something I may not just go out and buy for myself on any given week. I have to really think about what I want to do. I am going to an actual beach for vacation the first week of June. I wonder if there's anything I could do to prepare for that? Hmmm?

Disclaimer - I have periods in my life that I've really gone without and maybe that's why I let myself splurge so much now. I do not live outside of my means. Inner dialog: I hope I don't sound like a selfish, spoiled brat because I don't *think* I am!

And in 14 days I bet you'll be able to do TWO! But, you've gotta start somewhere. Just get on the floor and do it! Do it for you! Feel free to call me all the names you want LOL! But you will thank me in the end!

OK, my red bracelet is going to have beads that read W.W.HUN.E.D

By the way Hun....did you find that friendship bracelet pattern?

You don't sound like a brat. I'm single with a decent job and no kids also. It's OKAY to treat yourself as much as you like with non-food rewards as long as you live within your means and save a little.

Whew! It's sometimes hard to tell the tone of something written. I tend to joke around a lot but that doesn't always come across in posts. I'm glad you understand! ;) I've been on the other side of the coin which is perhaps why I've become such a saver. I've had many "rainy days," and I've just recently gotten to the point where I can breathe! (Gosh - I hope I didn't just jinx myself. ;))

StacyLynn225 05-02-2008 04:25 PM

Single (not married) with no kids here too!
I've been seeing everyone talk about Bobs book so i've been thinking about getting it but now i'm not going to let myself get it until I hit my goals.

Before I start my mini challenges... What exactly is going on with the leg thing? I thought I had it figured out but now with everyone questioning it...so am I!
