that people could see what numbers the other teams have posted and then try to win for their team by posting a less than honest number.
I have been complimented many times on my ability to see how easy it is to break a law, bend the rules, act unethically. It is kind of a gift that I have, and even I did not come up with that!

I really don't think that kind of thing has happened much, if at all. I mean we have people often taking freebies when they know they need it, posting gains honestly even when it is 0.5 a pound or even much bigger gains and so on.
Also, that would take a LOT of people all working in that same dishonest manner to skew the numbers for a team enough to make a win for the team.
Anyway, I would love for Chellez to explain what she meant.
Well we dont gotta answer the PMs all you gotta do is look at it and record the number. Just like we do now only it wouldnt be on a full thread.
Well, it's true, no one HAS to respond to PM's, ever, but I for one would want a response and would ask for one (which could then be ignored, right? ).
I think the numbers should be posted. It provides more accountability...which is the purpose of the game. If someone does not want to post numbers, they can choose to not play.
I want to play in the next round....but I don't know what the point would be in playing if numbers weren't posted because I would not be accountable to post my numbers each week.

Yeah, my *starting weight* PM at the beginning of this challenge was missed/failed/bounced (even though it showed as *sent* in my box) and I almost missed the cut off because of that. It could easily happen with weigh ins also I suppose and then people would be eliminated because the PM system failed or bounced their message.
I voted for "liking" the idea. I, too, think it takes the possibility for "fudged" numbers out of the equation. As a leader, I wouldn't mind having all PM's for weigh-ins. It makes me feel special to have PMS.... NO... PM's
I happen to like having to post my numbers. I am accountable that way. I do a ticker change every two weeks when I go to the doc and do my weigh in. This is another way of being accountable. I really don't understand the thoughts of lying or trying to fix weigh ins to make a team win. Are we dealing with children? This is suppose to be about being accountable, being supportive of other people. Not about a certain team doing better than another team. My gosh anytime anyone loses any weight at all I am cheering them on and happy for them.

The way I'm reading it I'm thinking that you're misunderstanding. But I could be wrong... it's happened before. Everyone is still just as accountable as before, its just not public.
By having the weigh in's PM'd to team leaders, it only takes away the public display of numbers and helps cut down on potential cheaters.
I know we are all grown ups here and it seems like we shouldn't have to shift things around to make it seem secretive or childish. I'm just trying to protect the integrity of the challenges I run.

I'm trying to remember if my PM box was expanded to the 1000 pm limit before or after the challenge.
I know personally for the Blue Team, if we decide to go with this system, I'm going to have a message prepped and ready to give a reply saying I got the weigh in. That way you know I got it. If you don't get the message before the deadline... I either didn't get it or haven't gotten to my box.
