TBL "WMB" - Blue Team Chat

Alright Blue Team..... Time for your surprise!

A nice little signature banner with sexy Bob in it!
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...lueTeamSig.jpg

If you decide to use it you will probably have to get rid of your ticker because it will make your signature too long.

Just right click the picture and click "Copy image location" then use the image button in your edit signature screen and paste the code in. :D

TBL "WMB" - Blue Team Chat

So because of the craziness in the one thread idea we have to make team threads. Please keep the majority of your posts here Blue Team so we can stay organized!

Sorry about the changes so early in the challenge! :dizzy:

Shay 01-13-2008 11:17 PM

I figure whatever makes it easiest for you, Melissa, and Julz works for me. I look foward to getting to know everyone.

Chellez--I thought it was cute that by the time you got to the 3rd pic for the pic and measurements thread all of the animals were in the picture.

vixjean 01-13-2008 11:17 PM

That's great I was a little intimidated by the 7 page thread, we just started. Anyway, how was your pasta?
I have to share an NSV- MIL and SIL both noticed I was loosing weight, TODAY, they said I was looking good, was I working out and keep it up, awe, I almost cried it was soooo nice of them!

GirlyGirlSebas 01-13-2008 11:18 PM

Hi Blue team! Boy, that one thread was getting kinda crazy, huh? Just posted my starting measurement and pictures. I'm ready to make some big changes and help my team win this challenge! I'll be back tomorrow to post again.

chellez 01-13-2008 11:20 PM

Shay - That was actually my first picture... I just like showing off my bratty puppy!

My pasta was yummy last night.... I'm hurting for a snack right now but I'm restraining myself like a good girl! :D

Frozen Peach 01-13-2008 11:32 PM

I meant to get my pics and measurements done.....but....notsomuch

will definitely get it done tomorrow though - promise!

I've got the munchies tonight and am heading to bed to avoid the fridge!

psst - love showing off my furbabies too! ;)

chellez 01-13-2008 11:34 PM

 You sound like me peach.... you wanted to do something but it can wait until later...

I did that with packing today so don't feel alone!

sportmom 01-13-2008 11:36 PM

ah, this is much better! :) I think alot of people were even missing their own personals and questions addressed to them bc they wouldn't scroll back to read the history - so then, you don't really feel like addressing anyone anymore, kwim? This will be good though.

chellez 01-13-2008 11:39 PM

Fran - Enlighten me as to what kwim is plz? :?:

sportmom 01-13-2008 11:40 PM

chellez 01-13-2008 11:41 PM

Thanks.... I have been educated in yet another acronym of the intraweb I did not know. :D

FrouFrou 01-14-2008 02:05 AM

Hello ladies...

Still up and thought I would pop in and say HI! This is much better...no more chaos...that was crazy over there,

I was also going to put some pics up but decided to try a few more tomorrow to see what I like best. I had some picked but DD walked by and said are you sure you want those?

Vixjean...WTG on your NSV!! :bravo: Isn't is great when others notice all your hard work?

I am so ready for this challenge ladies...I may get off to a slow start though because of the back...not sure yet. Starting my exercise back up tomorrow, light but it will be something so we'll see.

Nighty, night!

ferrarimomof2 01-14-2008 02:10 AM

Just wanted to say, "Hi" to everyone. I am going to try and get pics posted tomorrow. I am on pain medicine now and look like a chipmunk so the pic will probably be one I took last week,

Antares 01-14-2008 02:34 AM

Hey everyone. Hope you all are doing great today. Right now seems to be pretty hectic in this sub-forum! I should be posting up pictures tomorrow, or as soon as I can push through the humiliation.

Take care!

mumtoliam 01-14-2008 03:24 AM

Hi all on the blue team - How are you all? - I am glad this has gone to a team thread it was too hard to reread all the posts. I want to start this thread off by introducing myself. I am Vanessa, 32, single parent to a 3.75 year old. I work full time as a kindergarten teacher, currently we are on Summer Vacation - I live in Australia and the new school year starts on January 29. I am going away Jan 19th and wont have internet access for a week, but I am thinking I may still get away with weighing in because of the time differences. If not, I will have to use a freebie week early on. I am motivated... and cant wait to do the challenges. This is my first TBL challenge, and I know that it will help me to stay focus when its gets hard. By getting hard - I mean when I back to work full time, juggling work, being a mum, going to the gym and making healthy food choices. I started my journey Jan 2nd and I am trying to get into a routine with exercising. If I can continue that routine when I go back to work - I know I am on the right path this year...

Enough about me, I hope I get to know all of you better as this challenge continues.

GirlyGirlSebas 01-14-2008 07:53 AM

Good morning, Blues! How was your weekend? Everyone ready to lose some weight and win this challenge? :carrot:

Please allow me to introduce myself: I am Rhonda, 43 years old, Mom to two daughters (11 and 8), 3 dogs and one parakeet. Also, wife to Hubby of 14 years. I am a WAHM (Work At Home Mom.) I love to watch TV, read and decorate. I follow the Southbeach plan. Currently, my exercise is almost non-existent, therefore, my weight loss has been almost non-existent lately. So, my goals for this challenge are to start walking on the treadmill everyday and I want to start strength training. I hope to lose 25 pounds during this challenge. I am so excited that this challenge is beginning again and am really looking forward to getting to know some new friends.

This morning, I have a doctor's appointment for my yearly physical. I'm fasting for my bloodwork...which is a really good thing. I need a jump start for getting back on-plan this morning. My weekend wasn't so great. I was upset about not losing anything and I allowed myself to comfort myself with food. Crazy, huh? I didn't make myself feel any better and I have a 1.6 pound gain to show for it. Today, I'm back on board and ready to be a Biggest Loser. I'm re-starting Phase 1 of Southbeach and I will be on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes today. I've not yet put together my strength training program. If time permits, I'd like to do that today.

I'll check back in again later today.

:cheer::cheer::cheer: Go Blue! :cheer::cheer::cheer:

Purplefirefly 01-14-2008 08:11 AM

:cheer:Good Morning Blue Team:cheer:

I like having our own thread! I thought I would never get to know everyone in the big thread. I am about to post my first loss for our team and am super excited. This morning started out horrible with my 5 yo daughter Allie just being rotten as she can get. I am going to make to make it a good day at least for my health and get in lots of exercise. Tonight I won't be around much...son has basketball then daughter has cheerleading right after, I will get home just in time for my evening workout, shower, and bed.

kgood2005 01-14-2008 08:17 AM

Hi All!!

Wow that other thread went crazy. This is my first challenge and I'd like to introduce myself. I am 29 (shhh next month I turn 30 :dizzy:). I have an almost 2 year old son. His b-day is this weekend. We are just starting the terrible 2's. I already don't know how I am going to survive. I'm tall and have been big as long as I can remember. But this is the year for me. I'm trying to get my DH to lose some weight as well but you can't force them. I work in retail and am on my feet all day so that helps keep from putting weight on even when I'm bad so now I have to just lose the weight I already have. I'll post pictures sometime this week. I need my husband to take pictures of me.

Go Blue Team.

Karen

Purplefirefly 01-14-2008 08:19 AM

Rhonda--I know you will get back on plan and get that scale moving down. It is funny how we turn to food because we didn't lose weight, isn't it? I have done that before and it makes no sense at all! You can undo that damage though, I have faith in ya. I am glad we both are blue as well...I miss ya over in the other forum!

Vanessa--This is my first TBL challenge as well!

Antares--I am so mortified at posting my pics, but I did it and am making myself not remove them. A friend looked at them and said she could tell I have lost weight, but I just see a blob of fat  but that's exactly why I am here, and it is big motivation to make big changes so the next set won't be so hideous. You can do it, just get them up there and strive to make them a little better next time  WE CAN DO THIS!

ferrari--What are you on pain meds for? Just curious :)

Vix--It is awesome to get noticed for your hard work! Now just imagine the attention you'll get after we win this challenge ;)

chellez 01-14-2008 09:12 AM

Morning Everyone!

Well I got my 5 hours of sleep last night :tired: since I went to bed at 2 and woke up at 7 to take care of the puppy. Work looks like its going to be slow today so I'll probably be online most of the day if any of you want to have a little chat and get more familiar with the challenge. I know I told Melissa I'm making special banners for the team leaders sometime today but I'm not sure when. I also want to get back to reading my romance novel.

I hopped on the scale this morning :goodscale (not for my official weigh in) and I was still the same as my starting weight which is a relief being that I ate horribly this past weekend. It's really hard to get groceries and cook when you have the majority of the stuff packed to move. Daniel took off this week because of the house stuff. He's doing the final walk through this afternoon and then we close tomorrow at 11:30. I'm really excited to be getting my first home and I'm only 22. Kind of makes me think there's great potential in my future of real estate.

I really don't think I'll lose any weight this week being that we are moving and I don't think I'll eat a full home cooked meal until probably Thursday. We should get the treadmill sometime this weekend so I'm going to be hopping on that thing ASAP.:woops: I also got a surprise in the mail the other day when my PUSH DVD came in and I thought I'd canceled the subscription. Maybe staring at Bob for 40 minutes everyday can be my motivation!

Cristina - I hope your back feels better! My shin just started hurting while I was typing this post. I know my progress pics look rough cause my roots have grown out and no makeup... :faint: it's bad....

Dionne - Hope you feel better! Pain meds make me feel sleepy and fluffy.

Antares - Have no fear of posting pictures. Think about how scrumpcious you'll look once you've met your goal! We are here to support you! :grouphug:

Vanessa - If for some reason you think you can't make the weigh in that week you could always weigh in early instead of using a freebie week. I think alot of people forgot about that last challenge. I admire you for being a single mum. I can't imagine how hard that must be trying to take care of your child and get your weight loss on track.

Rhonda - I think mine and your exercise regimen are the same! It's really hard to find time to exercise when you could think of a million other things you could be doing. Don't worry about your little gain. There's plenty of time for you to sweat it out! I know practiceliving said it last round that the three of us have the similar weigh issues of the "up and downs" so maybe we can work together and keep each other accountable on exercising daily? Whatda ya say? ;)

Purple - Morning! Kids... I can't testify but I'm dreading that my kid will be more rotten than my husband and I combined when we decide to have one. :dizzy:

Karen - :welcome: to The Biggest Loser Challenge! We are a pretty easy going crew around here as long as people follow the rules and post their weights on time. I tend to get grumpy when people are late but thats just me having a fit so bear with me. :tantrum:  I tried getting my husband to commit losing weight with me this year since he's overweight and his dad is at risk of having a stroke and he's only in his early 40s. I would hope that would be motivation but my hubby likes video games and TV + food. Sometimes there's no hope for a man like that. :(

Victoria Ayumi 01-14-2008 09:54 AM

Hi everyone!! This is my first challenge as well!
I'm Ashley and i'm an 18 year old sophomore in college. I'm a music major, studying voice. Everytime I tell people that I'm studying opera, they think I want to be a big opera singer, and that's such a stereotype. lol, but I am a bit chubby, and I just want to have a more toned body overall!
I gained that freshman...erm...30 last year (lol) and I've got out of the 200's and back to the 190's(which is great) ^_^ Dorm food just...argh!!
I want to get back to my old high school size (10/12) and be more toned than I ever was before. I've even got a friend that's going to the school gym with me, and I also do some kundalini yoga from time to time.
Good luck ladies!!! ^_^

scgirl32 01-14-2008 10:01 AM

This sounds like it's going to be so much fun, and I'm so happy to be a Blue Team-er! Here's my introduction:

I'm a 31-year-old single gal. I work full-time as a special collections librarian at a university (I deal with all of the rare books and historic manuscripts) and teach two courses a semester for an online master's degree program for another university. So, work keeps me pretty busy. A lot of my free time is spent with my four-legged pal whose picture is my avatar (that's Franny). We walk every day (weather permitting), and we've done obedience classes, nursing home visits, and, starting in a few weeks, agility training.

I'm trying to lose those tough last few pounds. I started my weight loss journey in February 2003, weighing 286 pounds. I was a grad student working on my thesis at the time, and I was just tired all the time. I pretty much just got fed up with stuff and started walking and calorie counting. I moved from Texas to Tennessee in the summer of 2003, and weighed 250 pounds when I started working out at Curves. By 2005, I was hovering around 170-175, and I stayed there for the next two years or so. Now, I'm ready to work even harder to hit my ultimate goal of 150 lbs. I'm signed up for a 5K at the end of March. Hopefully, that and this challenge will be just what I need!!

ssgtswife33 01-14-2008 10:26 AM

Good Morning Everyone!!!

This is my first TBL challenge as well. I am so excited to be part of this. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jenn and I am 35yr old SAHM and a Proud Army wife. I have a wonderful husband of 16+ years and 2 wonderful boys. I look forward to meeting more of my fellow blue team-mates. Happy Monday Everyone!!

kgood2005 01-14-2008 10:35 AM

:welcome3: Everybody. I'm so excited. I'm off work for the next 6 days after today so I hope I can stay in control. But at least I know I'll have time to really get in some exercise without worrying how I'll feel at work.

Karen

practiceliving 01-14-2008 10:47 AM

Morning gals! I'll be back later with more to say, but for now I just wanted to share today's For Better or For Worse - it's how I felt this morning getting dressed!

mcbender99 01-14-2008 11:48 AM

Hello to all of my fellow teammates!
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and am so excited to be on a "team"! I'll work on posting my pics and update my info after work tonight. Just wanted to chime in and let you know I'm with you guys on this! If my scale is right I'm down a few pounds...I'll keep you posted.

dixied 01-14-2008 11:52 AM

Good Morning Blue Crew!

I'm going to do my intro now and come back later and try to do some personals.

I'm Dee, 36 years old, married for 6 years, with one 11 year old stepson. I'm owned by a 4 pound Chihuahua who shamelessly bosses me around and take advange of my good nature. I work at an architecture firm, my actual job is editing, however it's probably best described as being a nanny to architects.

I was always thin as a child/teen, I remember crying my eyes out when the scale hit 106 my senior year, thinking I was fat. This wasn't helped by the fact that I was soooo overly sensitive and my dad used to tease me about being fat. I didn't actually having a weight problem until I was 23, since then I've yo-yo dieted and it's really messed with my ability to lose the weight I need to lose. I reached 200.5 in December 2006 after a horrific year in which I had a large phyllodes tumor removed from my right breast and 6 weeks later was in a head on car wreck. I was in physical therapy until December 2006, and could not exercise much. Starting that December (06), I have lost 28 pounds thru diet and exercise. I'm a horribly slow loser, but I fight hard for every pound. Currently I walk 5-6 days a week for an hour a day and follow the South Beach Diet. This is my second BL challenge, and I hope to be below 162 at the end of it, making me smaller than I have ever been since I got married.

GirlyGirlSebas 01-14-2008 11:57 AM

Hi again, Blues! Didn't expect to see me back so soon, huh? I should be working, but took a little time to read the threads. I must confess, I read all three team chats!:D And, I've stolen the questionaire from the Red team (Thanks, Melissa!) Some of us have done a brief introductions, but I like the idea of having a questionaire full of fun/useful information so we can get to know each other.

1. What do you prefer we call you? Rhonda (or "Skinny" if you'd like.;))

2. What weightloss plan are you using? Southbeach

3. What is your favorite exercise? Walking on the treadmill

4. What is one area that you struggle? I lose slowly and get discouraged.

5. What is one area of your weightloss journey that you excel at? I never quit. I may struggle, but I always come back.

6. What is your short term goal? I'd love to lose 25 pounds during this challenge.

7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? New clothes are always a great reward.

8. Best weight loss tip? Don't ever quit! This is a lifetime journey....weight loss then maintenance. Perfection is not the goal. Learning and changing my eating patterns are my goals.

9. Bob or Jillian? Jillian rocks! I want to be her when I grow up. :D

10. Tell us about yourself! Some of this I covered in my first post, but I'll put it here too. I'm 43, a wife of 14 years and Mom to two DD's, 3 dogs and a parakeet. I work from home and I'm a recent transplant from Florida to Georgia (Go, Bucs!)

dixied 01-14-2008 12:32 PM

1. What do you prefer we call you? Either Dee or Dixie

2. What weightloss plan are you using? Southbeach

3. What is your favorite exercise?
Walking the local college track

4. What is one area that you struggle? Strength training? what's that?

5. What is one area of your weightloss journey that you excel at? Knowledge, I know exactly what I should be doing, it's just the actual doing that gets lost sometimes.

6. What is your short term goal? To get below 162.

7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? 162 - wear shorts again. When I reach my ultimate goal I'm going on a walking tour of Ireland.

8. Best weight loss tip? Consistency, not perfection!

9. Bob or Jillian? Bobalicous! But I luv Jillian too!

10. Tell us about yourself! My intro is above, but I'll add that I'm originally from West Virginia and moved to Florida in 2000.

zinkemomx2 01-14-2008 12:35 PM

Morning everyone!
I am zinkemomx2 and I am a 242 pound, 32 year old SAHM to 3.25 YO twins. I have PCOS and am hypothyroid. I have always been heavy and I am tired of it. I don't like not having clothes that fit. I hate not being able to keep up with my kids. I don't like being looked down upon by those that are healthy and fit. I have issues. More often than not I would prefer to sit in front of the computer and hide from life than exercise. I will admit though that I feel better about myself when I exercise regularly and I am trying to change that. I am working on starting a new routine that gets me up before the kids and doing a workout video and weights. I am hoping by the end of this challenge to be under 230 pounds and that exercising will be much higher of a priority for me.

practiceliving 01-14-2008 12:36 PM

1. What do you prefer we call you? Marianne

2. What weightloss plan are you using? Bob Greene's Best Life Diet

3. What is your favorite exercise?
Aquacize or a looong trail-walk in Pacific Spirit Park with a girlfriend.

4. What is one area that you struggle? I lose slowly and get discouraged. <--- Rhonda, ME TOO!

5. What is one area of your weightloss journey that you excel at?
I keep the faith - I remember that I am in control over my life, that this is a long process, and, most importantly, that my self-worth is NOT defined by the scale or my pants size.

6. What is your short term goal? For the challenge, I want to beat the 190s once and for all!

7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? New bras! I know it seems funny, but I'm a 38G right now, so my bras are pricey, and hopefully I'll need new, smaller ones soon!

8. Best weight loss tip? Don't tie your worth to your dieting. We are all SO much more than our weight or diet.

9. Bob or Jillian? Gahhh I can't choose. Bob is the hotttttness. Jillian is a hottie too, though, and I think she'd kick my *** more than Bob. I need the beat down sometimes, and she seems better at it than Bob. :D

10. Tell us about yourself! Hi! I'm Marianne! I'm 22yrs and live in beautiful Vancouver, BC. I live with my 24yr old DBF, Adam, and we'll be celebrating our 5yr anniversary in early February. I just finished at university (BA in Sociology, minor in Psych) in December, and I'm continuing to work for a small non-profit. I was always a curvy girl, but never fat until I moved to Van for university. As a kid, I was always playing sports and dancing, walking everywhere, and eating well at home. Then I moved over here for university, started sitting on my butt all the time, and stopped eating my mum's healthy cooking, and on came the extra weight. My goal weight (160) is set from what I weighed when I graduated HS - I was fit, strong, and healthy, and I can't wait to be back there!

scgirl32 01-14-2008 01:08 PM

1. What do you prefer we call you? Erin

2. What weightloss plan are you using? Calorie counting

3. What is your favorite exercise? Hiking with my dog

4. What is one area that you struggle? I'm an emotional eater.

5. What is one area of your weightloss journey that you excel at? I'm stubborn. Nothing motivates me like surveys that say that virtually no one can maintain a large weight loss.

6. What is your short term goal? I want a "healthy" BMI -- for me, that means hitting 155 pounds.

7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? I don't know yet...probably a new outfit.

8. Best weight loss tip? Write down what you eat (including the "nibbles"). It keeps you accountable and helps you look back and see what works and what doesn't.

9. Bob or Jillian? I want my arms to look like Jillian's. I'd love to work with either of them, though (no comment on the fact that there's not a "Kim" option ;) ).

10. Tell us about yourself! Aside from what I've written earlier... I'm a sports junkie, although I'm not coordinated enough to play anything! My favorite is college basketball, men's and women's (Go Duke!). I'm also obsessed with The Office, and I'm ready to the writer's strike to be over!

Sara108 01-14-2008 01:23 PM

Hi Blue Team :carrot:

I'm Sara.

This is my first challenge and I'm so ready to start this thing!

My weigh in day is on Wednesdays.

My exercise revolves around my treadmill and some free weights/DVD's.

I am a food-a-holic. I think about food from the time I wake up till the time I fall asleep.

I have my daughter's wedding coming up and have vowed to lose this excess weight before her big day. That's my incentive.
She and I are both working out. We've become long distance work out buddies. She lives in another state, but we talk each day on the phone to encourage one another.

I look forward to being part of this team and getting to know as many of you as I can!

GO BLUE TEAM!!!!!!

6. What is your short term goal? To get to 220.

7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? Going on a date with my husband. He has never seen me lighter than 225!
8. Best weight loss tip? Don't go on a diet!! Change your lifestyle! Look at the positive and believe it!

9. Bob or Jillian? Bob!!! Believe me, I was MORE than happy to be a BLUE team member!!!

We have 2 cats Cleo and Deucey who I also call my children. I work as a Test Center Administrator and I am also a Nursing student. I plan to graduate and hopefully work in Obstetrics or in a Hospital on the L&D floor. I am a Christian, and I thank God for every step of this weight loss journey I have completed. Without him and the support of my family and friends I couldnt do this!

FrouFrou 01-14-2008 01:41 PM

Hello Blue team! :woohoo:

9. Bob or Jillian? Bob

10. Tell us about yourself! I feel like the grandma here, lol-but I don't feel old so...I am 48 yrs young! I am a SAHW...I say wife because the kids don't need me anymore, lol. They always need us really. Have a son in college, one in the army (HOOAH) and a dd who is undecided at this time, and a angel baby. Married for the second time almost 9 years (widowed the first time). KS transplant. I've not always been big...not sure why I let myself go when I married the first time except that DH was always feeding me, lol. Then had three children. Not making excuses because it is no one's fault but my own. I had lost quite a bit when DH#1 was killed but then that dreaded circle of life...met DH#2 and started slowly gaining. Lost a baby and turned to food and put the weight on fast. Worked my way back up to 213 and have been trying to lose ever since. I know I will never be the weight I was when I first married, not even trying to get there. I just want to be at a healthy, comfortable weight for me now. And that is why I am undecided about my actual goal weight...I am aiming for 160 to see if that is where I want to be or if I want to continue and lose another 5-10. I'm thinking my goal weight will end up being 155...but I'll see when I get there. I am happy to be here at 3fc & on this challenge!

Today will be a sort of lazy day workout...I am still not up to par but I have to exercise! I have to! So I am aiming for an hour on the treadmill and do a WATP dvd. Not all at the same time because it would kill me! I did post pictures...I may post another at a later date to show my face, or maybe use one as my avatar.

Have a GREAT day BLUE TEAM!

1. What do you prefer we call you? Rosalie

2. What weightloss plan are you using? Calorie counting, and usually having 5-6 smallish meals per day (similar to Body For Life but without all the meat and cottage cheese since I don't eat that stuff)

3. What is your favorite exercise? I've been really into running lately (and pretending to train for the marathon), but I also really like pilates or hitting the cardio machines at the gym for a gossip session with friends.

4. What is one area that you struggle? Eating while bored/stressed/drunk. Being stressed and/or drunk way too often because of school.

5. What is one area of your weightloss journey that you excel at? I am fortunate enough to REALLY like fresh veggies and most of the time I really like working out too.

6. What is your short term goal? I'd really like to drop the 20(!) lb I've gained since I started law school in summer 06, and be able to wear all my smallest clothes (and not be able to wear my fat pants!)

7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? Clothes! And maybe a pedicure if my feet aren't too banged up from all the running.

8. Best weight loss tip? (1) make your routine as effort-free as possible by planning out all your meals and shopping ahead of time and (2) anytime I don't feel motivated to do a planned workout, I put on my sports bra and then I'm committed because I feel like a loser if I just take it back off and put it in the drawer!

9. Bob or Jillian? I have to admit, I don't see the appeal of Bob so much. Jillian seems like a tough broad and someone I might like, but I have a trust issue with blond guys for no particular reason. I do like his tattoos though.

10. Tell us about yourself! Hey ladies! I'm a single chick living in NYC and going to law school. I just started the second half of my second year, which means I am over halfway done (yay). I generally stick to a vegan diet, but do not be fooled, the vegan diet does not make you slim automatically, since all the best things in life (bread, chocolate, wine) are available in fully vegan versions and are just as delectable and high-cal. I do eat tons of tofu and other great protein-y things too, so I never really feel like I'm missing out. Anyway, I'm stoked to do my first TBL challenge, and get a big jumpstart moving in the right direction.

Hi Everyone! I'm excited to do this! I'm 38 and have been trying to lose weight for a long time. I know what I need to do, just need to stay commited...this group will be great for accountability! I don't know much about forums, or about what to do for this challenge, other than lose weight (haha). Any suggestions for what to read, where to post, where pics need to go, how to do all that fun stuff. Sorry, not normally a "needy" person, but I want to do things right and not let down the team by missing something. GO TEAM! Speaking of "team," I just got back from the Packer game this weekend in Lambeau, so I'm only eating water based foods today to try to lighten up my cheese and brat filled intestines, sorry for the graphics. I have a great workout planned, along with cashing in on a free sauna opportunity, so my Monday is starting out with "cleansing" involved. Get rid of those weekend toxins!

I've been overweight for a decade now, wow that's a long time, and I want to enter my 40's feeling better than I did in my 20's (when I was in shape). I'm an active person, LOVE disc golf, but the winters in WI put the kabash on my outdoor activities and that's when by food friends come around ( I love food!). I'm ready to shed the weight and this community will be awesome to share in the experience. GO BLUE!

Oops, didn't see the questionaire:
Elizabeth;
superfoods/healthy foods/ a "diet" for life;
hiking/disc golfing/yoga/Gilad aerobics = ) / weight lifting/walking/elliptical;
I struggle with eating when tired or when socializing;
I LOVE the taste of healthy foods...I think it's a mind thing
I plan to lose 15 -20 lbs and buy some high heels and boots
BEST TIP: The power of the mind! Positive thinking folks! It's my new tool for life...feels great!
