B- coffee with liquid splenda and creamer L - 6 hot wings and 6 deviled eggs D- low carb taco pie (not that good) with lettuce and sour cream 1,279 calories 10 grams of carbs Today: B - coffee with liquid splenda and half and half (ran out of the good stuff) L - leftover taco pie D - grilled ahi tuna in herb garlic marinade with broccoli and butter S - peanut butter fudge fat bomb 1,152 calories 17 grams of carbs (not net) I think I need to eat more calories. I'm not hungry really so I don't feel like I'm starving, but that's less than the 1200-1400 I was eating daily on CICO..... I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it? Scale still showing 229. So either I didn't have the TOM water gain like normal, or I'm actually 3-5 lbs lighter. I don't feel bloated this month, so I'm going with the former. ONE MORE DAY TILL VACAY! |
Hi everybody!
I am so inspired by your willpower and proud of you for going "down" and sticking with it. I have a long history of falling off the wagon….but I am not giving up. I haven't been exercising at all since coming back which sure shows on the scale. My eating exceeded the total carbs and am now working on getting back in ketosis state, which takes almost a week, as you smart people already explained here and on other threads. Shopping: While at the store, I bought 2 way too small swimwear bottoms (not skimpy just a smaller size : medium vs. Xlarge) which were on sale for only $5.00. I want these to be a goal and motivation for next summer's vacation. Today's eating: Breakfast: omelet (2 eggs, raw spinach, cooked in oil) Lunch: veggie smoothie (spinach, broccoli, bell pepper - a couple of slices, and 2 strawberries all in the Nutribullet with water and nothing else) Revised later in the day - No veggie drink: I had fried chicken livers with 2 pickles. Dinner: Protein and fat: not sure if it's going to be tilapia, sausage, pork loin……haven't decided what we are having for dinner yet. Exercise: walk on the treadmill while I watch a favorite show: about 3 miles. I went to the store and bought tupperware with compartments. Each Sunday, I am going to grill or bake chicken, cook other types of protein (hamburger meat, pulled pork, shrimp, fish) and prep my lunches for the whole week, ahead of time. I plan on having a protein and salad or cut veggies. Another thing I have been doing is buy the Costco roasted chicken, take all the meat apart, portion it into ziploc bags and freezing it. This works well for a quick add-on to salads, omelets, snacking, etc. Now, I just need to avoid the forbidden foods. I have the knowledge, know and understand the benefits, MUST and NEED to improve my health. I must be strong and not allow bad choices to rule/ruin my health. Lunch is always hard to me, either I don't eat anything and then overeat at home or eat the bad stuff. Planning ahead will help me stay on track. Best of luck to you all! I was on Atkins a long time ago and am back.. I was with another local diet program , lost the weight stayed on maintenance for a long time, and maintenance would not work for me after a year so am back at Atkins, where I know I can get the pounds off and get back to where I so hard tried to get at. This is a great group. I find by people posting what they ate, it helps me stay on focus. Good luck to you Dee |
Food report for 7/29/15
Ate breakfast out.. Egg omelet, spinach, green tea. Did not eat the home fries toast ,nor the fruit Snack.. Atkins bar.. Took care of bad craving Lunch.. Leftover chicken with lettuce, tomato, cuke oil and splash of vinegar Snack Iced coffee with Atkins Mocha Latte Shake.. I froze this for awhile, they put in blender.. It is like a frozen latte.. Again, took away craving Supper.. Barbecued halibut fish with herbs, broccoli I forgot my carb count, but it was not over 18. Jello |
Well, I didn't have to worry about calories last night at all LOL. Ended up adding cheese to my broccoli which pushed me right on up there!
Heading out to Biloxi today. I don't have a meal plan as we'll be traveling. I have decided not to let myself cheat, other than a piece of cake, so that means no alcohol! Naturally I saw 228 today, so nope nope nope nope. I am not going to go off diet and risk staying off when I get back to the 220's at last LOL. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Have you tried coconut oil? i bought mine from Costco at a fraction of the cost compared to a regular store. Now, I need to use it for cooking not just as a moisturizer hahaha Keep up the good work! Morning everyone..:wave: I have been so busy lately, getting up at 1:30 am to open the store the last few days then from there going to get my daughter for her dr apps and washing up baby clothes all day then taking her back home, not getting in bed till around 8pm and up again at 130 am to do it all again.. Hubby had my time yesterday after work, he bought a Harley off buy/sell, we had to drive about an hour to look at it and he bought it, didn't get back home till 8:30, so we stopped at taco bell and I got a taco salad.. I'm pooped.. All this not getting enough sleep and being run down I woke up yesterday with a busted blood vessel in my eye, looks terrible... I'm off this weekend.. yeah!! I'm not really losing any weight, but I'm getting really good at maintaining... lol :D

I got to relax yesterday, I decided I'm not going to worry about my eating today and take a day off, so I ate bologna and cheese sandwich on 100% whole wheat bread and pork rinds, hung out in the pool and drank 4 miller beers and for supper I made regular bbq chicken and cole slaw and for bedtime snack I had 2 bananas. my fitness pal said I had, 1587 calories and 128 carbs for the day.. and this morning the scales said I lost 1 pound and 4 ounces... :?: Maybe I shook it up a bit, I don't know.. hopefully tomorrow won't be a gain... oh well we will see... Have a great day everyone.. |
Congratulations candy on the loss! Well I gained yesterday :( but that's okay, I spent all day tilling up my flower gardens, pulling weeds and spraying weeds for about 3-4 hours and was sweating my butt off, boy was I sore this morning! My fitness pal had me burning 445 calories plus I did 8,060 steps for another 76 calories burnt! I fixed a pot roast :D with potatoes and decided I was going to eat the potatoes lol and had a small slice of pecan pie and yes it was yummy! So I too ate off plan but didn't feel guilty! I ate 1,779 calories and 55 net carbs but only gained .8 oz's so that's not bad! :carrot:
Tomorrow will be a better and new day!! :) |
Well..... Didn't stick 100% to my diet on vacation, but I didn't gain anything, held at 228. Thurs I had some popcorn and a beer, Friday, two pieces of cake, mashed sweet potato stuff, pina colada, diet coke and rum, and another beer. Saturday had a small mocha latte, but then nothing to eat until late that evening.
Yesterday: L - steak and egg D- hamburger steak with onions and gravy (my only carbs all day, so I'm not too upset about the gravy LOL) Not sure what I'm doing today yet. I'm still recovering from the little I did do over the weekend! Sticks say I'm back in ketosis, so YAY! We're thinking about doing a cruise in October. I wonder if I could make Onederland by then? |
Atkins Induction Day 104
I rode my Motorcycle with friends 240 miles yesterday in New York along the Hudson River and up into the Adirondack Park. We stopped at the Dinosaur BBQ in Troy for lunch. The only thing on the menu suitable for Atkins was the chicken wings (not breaded) so I ordered the bakers dozen. 13 wings. At home in the evening I fixed scrambled eggs cooked in lard to increase the fat content.
It must have been good choices because this morning I am down 3 more pounds to 250 even. I am knocking on the door of the 240's. :D:D:D |

Sometimes, switching it up leads to weight loss like in Candy in Alabama's case. Sometimes, it doesn't……..one never knows. Candy in Alabama, glad to hear that you relaxed and enjoyed the little break by the pool. Yesterday's food intake: black coffer, water roasted chicken with salad (all kind of veggies) cheese roasted chicken again with greek salad and sautéed veggies (in butter). Today's plan: black coffee, water 2 fried eggs in oil/butter roasted chicken with salad with oil and vinegar grilled hamburger patty, no bread, sautéed spinach, salad Have a super day everyone! |

I started atkins yesterday. I tried the 21 day fix diet last month and just failed. I couldn't stand longer than 2 weeks on. Hoping this will give me a bit more choices and flavor. I will add my food in tomorrow its way passed my bedtime.

Normally, I eat a little better than this LOL. But no, they are baked wings in hot sauce. Website says they are 0 carbs.
Tonight for dinner the menu's been changed to rotisserie chicken and broccoli, likely. Or chicken and green beans. Haven't had much time to cook lately so I'm having to eat out, which is frustrating and depends entirely on my dad or DH. Hoping next week I can get back to cooking my eggs and taco salads. (My car is in the shop.) |

My DH loves wings :) He would love this as a diet plan.. Good to know hot sauce is on the list. Im a wuss and like them mild so I usually use bbq sauce going to have to find a MILD hot wing sauce.

Luvmymonkeys- what are beef sticks? Like slim jims? We eat those all the time boating. Back from family reunion Monday night- not sure if I gained becuz I'm avoiding the scales! We had eggs, bacon, BBQ, burgers, hot dogs, ribs, shrimp, salad, sugar free Trifle for dessert and I made Pillsbury sugar free brownies- (still had carbs though) lower calorie. I'm still programmed to leave the buns or bread and for potato or macaroni salads- I'll just have a taste. I did have a few Mich Ultras and sugar free Margaritas. We were hiking, swimming, walked a lot so did get a lot of activity in :) Snacked on pork rinds It was really hot, so ate smaller portions. I'm not a fan of hot spicy things either monkey. Prior to this, I preferred honey bbq ones, but can't have that anymore so..... Hungry Howies is a pizza chain really and their sauce isn't too spicy, I'd call it mild for sure. I'm up here near Panama City, but I've seen Howies all over Fl if you are interested. The best wings however are at a place in Panama City called Wingos - I can eat my weight in their garlic parmesan ones. Fried, not breaded, and YUM. My DH only eats bbq boneless wings though.... Oh well, more for me LOL. Ended up last night with rotisserie chicken and a baby spinach salad, and was promptly up a lb this morning. I'm sure it's just water, but disappointed nonetheless. B- coffee with sugar free creamer, 4 deviled eggs, half a chicken breast and mini quiche L- probably nothing seeing as I'm having a late breakfast (work party) D - DH is taking me out to eat tonight! He's being all hush hush, but since he's LC'ing too I'm sure it's to a place that'll be on plan. I got my car back! Just in time for the weekend. Let me tell ya'll...... Having no A/C in Florida is unbearable! Dang thing best be fixed now. |

B.. egg omelet with vegan soy cheese slice, .25oz sliced tomato, coffee, sugar free soy milk. Snack.. Atkins chocolate caramel nut bar Lunch ground turkey in lettuce leafs . Ground turkey made with herbs and seasonings. Diet Coke Snack.. Jello , cream cheese whipped dessert, 1 serving Iced green and peach tea Total carbs = 19 Exercise.. Walked briskly for one hour. I did not weigh in this week, but will do so on Monday, however I weigh in each day, and have not gained.. |

there was no BLD to my eating yesterday it was more like stuffing food in my face when I got the chance..here is what I had..not all in that order ;) 3 meat sticks 2 hamburger pattys with cheese and mayo and a pickle- two was over load couldn't finish fed some to the dog and had a stomachache afterward.. will just go with one next time half an atkins snack bar eggs spinach with a bit of mayo for taste. very much over eggs after the 21 day fix diet only way I could choke them down was with a bit of mayo 4 sausage links coke zero Atkins shake I do also drink water all day! wanted to note that... promise I don't live on diet tea and diet coke Day 4 haven't had a chance to eat yet... have pork boneless ribs in the crock pot so I will atleast know what is for dinner. Need to make a trip to the super market. Planning a salad for a side. Bigdog- They are like more like summer sausage. I found them in beef and turkey at the store. Zero carb! I like the turkey a bit better than the beef but everyone in the house is snacking on them including my very picky two year old twins. Fickle- They just opened up a hungry howies not to far from me. Everyone has been telling me I need to try it. We have a place here its kind of a bar but families go for their great food. Its called moes and they have the best wings Ive ever had... in pretty much any flavor you can think of. My favorite was also the honey bar b q.. The hubby gets the moe hots and let me tell you they even touch my wings I wont eat them. Pretty sure he has an iron stomach :) YAY for getting your car back! Yes I agree on a/c in fl... my a/c is doing this only working on and off between max and normal with the a/c. My husband does most of our car repairs but Im not ready to complain yet because he will want my car down for the day to fix it... With two year old twins you go batty in the house to long :D |
Yesterday:
L- work party. I had 5 deviled eggs, 3 crustless mini quiches, and some green beans D- ribeye with side salad and ranch dressing That's 3 office parties I've successfully avoided sweets at! I am so proud of myself! Still at 227. I'm going through that monthly phase where I notice all the weight I still have to lose, and realize the enormity and the daunting task of doing so. Even if I manage 8-10 lbs a month the entire journey, I'm looking at March before I'm at goal. And I tell myself, that's really not that far away, but then I"m like, yes, yes it is, coupled with the fact weightloss likely slows to a crawl near goal anyhow. I feel like it's already crawling now LOL. But I know I'm just being silly. 1-2 lbs a week is healthy and acceptable. I've just got to be patient and pay attention to all the other positives that are happening with my body. I just really wish my tummy would go away. |

No breakfast Lunch went out : steak, green beans, green salad with ranch cucumbers and onions...and one tomato. I wasn't sure if I was allowed onions and tomatoes on phase one so only ate one grape tomato and 2 slices of onion ..oh and a couple bites of my sons bacon...Hey its my birthday and Im not eating cake :D Not sure whats for dinner just yet! My husband bought me a meat and cheese platter for my cake..Awww love him |

rpm3060 - hope you feel better. I tend to not eat when I'm sick or crave sweets for some reason either. Get better soon! 225 for me today! That's a new all time low! :carrot: And the hubby has now lost 51 lbs! He's a 1/3 of the way there now. Today: went and saw Mission Impossible, and since I was up all night slept till 12:30. :o We were in a rush to make the movie so skipped lunch. D - Outback filet mignon with unlimited garlic herb shrimp, had 2 orders of shrimp and only at half the steak, plus broccoli and salad. YUM! 1200 calories on the dot. (which holy cow, that's just one flippin meal! :o ) S - eh, not hungry at the moment, but have the rest of dinner later if I want it. |
