Well we hit our 500 post limit so i am starting a new thread!!

After i weighed in saturday and lost 2.4 lbs i over did it saturday on eating! Back up 2lbs this morning but i'll get it back off! Was camping with my DH and felt pretty good. I have been on track for two months just wanted to have one day.

FickleHearts 06-28-2015 06:14 PM

I'm skipping WI this week due to mother nature. Stupid water bloat!

Today is much better than yesterday.

L- leftover steak with scrambled eggs in coconut oil
S- a few bites of left over stuffed chicken parm (dog ended up stealing the rest)
D - grilled something another, probably a pork chop, with steamed broccoli

Nothing wrong with one day skelley! It'll come back off.

Hey everyone.
Way to go Skelley on the loss and you know that's just water weight- u know what to do :)
Promoted in a new position so the last two weeks have involved training and grabbing meals on the go. I actually lost 2 lbs and am holding. Not really following a plan but really find myself just eating if I'm really hungry and that is grabbing a greek yogurt or piece of cheese or whatever lean protein, protein bar or shake, celery whatever is handy. Pimento cheese has been a great snack on lite Italian fold out wrap. I'm really trying to just eat enough to not be hungry. Hot and spicy pork rinds are my go to snack food! :)
I fried a lb of bacon on my griddler and in the am grab a couple slices to eat on the way to work with my eggs in a mug! So keeping busy is working for me.
Tough getting the water in becuz my new coworker is training me and we are always running around. Of course I have to pee! Before we go anywhere!! Lol

smith1313 06-28-2015 09:10 PM

Ficklehearts....will you cook for me? LOL Your menu sounds so good

skelly....just one day off right?

bigdog....it's nice to know you can still loose on the run!

I decided to weigh in only on Thursday, I have a tendency to get carried away with it. I going to concentrate more on intake and energy expenditure this time around. Making it more of a lifestyle then diet

Went to Red Lobster last night....had no alcohol, grilled shrimp and salmon with green beans and played in the rice. It was a win since someone at our table ordered cheesecake to share

Larry H 06-29-2015 04:37 AM

Boy am I sore. I went down last evening. NO not on my motorcycle.
I was painting the frame work of the V-Nose air deflector for my new bike trailer. I lost my balance and I fell to the ground from the top of an 8 foot step ladder. Fortunately I bounced instead of breaking. My left ankle, left thigh muscle, back and neck all hurt. The worst is my ankle. I am just getting to be able to walk without a limp. I have decided that 70 going on 71 in a few weeks is too old to start a new career as a circus acrobat. lmao

skelley331 06-29-2015 08:32 AM

Well I'm down 1/2 lb so I'm on my way to recovery from the 2lb gain from over eating Saturday.

Thanks BigDog, glad you are back on here, have missed you.

Larry H I'm glad you're okay wow!

smith1313, I weigh every morning because it helps keep me in check and I know my weight will fluctuate but I've been doing this forever and it seems to work for me. But yes it can get carried away.

rpm3060 06-29-2015 10:21 AM

I did not weigh in this morning, as I had to have yearly blood work done.. So will go tomorrow . I am on phase 2.. I will decide what to do on phases after I get weighed in.

Skelley.. You are dedicated to your challenge and it will all come off. You were entitled to your day.

Larry.. So glad you are ok.. My husband took a fall off ladder and scared me silly, but thank goodness other than bruises and soreness, he was fine.

My friend who is on Atkins, has lost 55 pounds so far.. She is on phase 2 now and still losing, but a bit slower, but it is still coming off. She had one slip up, went back to induction for three days and back to phase 2 and it worked well for her.

Wishing everyone a great weight loss week.

FickleHearts 06-29-2015 12:23 PM

I think I've done just about every diet out there and so far the only ones that have ever really stuck for me have been WW's and LCHF. My BFF wanted to do LCHF and wanted a support buddy, and even when I was low cal I tended to be low carb, so I said why not. Then my husband's doctor put him on a 1600cal/low carb diet and it became very easy to stick too. He's lost 10 lbs so far! (It'll be a week tomorrow since we started)

I've managed to get from 265 to the 230's and this is where I've seemingly stayed for years now LOL. I'm hoping between the two of them I can stay on track this time and actually see the 100's again. I've missed them so.

As it is, planning out dinners for the week. Tonight I'm thinking bacon cheeseburger casserole with a veggie of some sort on the side. Probably won't weigh until Thurs myself. Lord willing mother nature will have moved on by then. I feel like somethings working because my shirts are looser. I too am an every day weigher, but right now it'd just make me depressed and since I'm just starting, I don't need that.

See, it's coming back off skelley.

Larry - glad you are okay, hope you feel better soon.

Grats to your friend rpm!

I love red lobster smith1313, but man would those biscuits tempt me right now! And haha, if you find yourself in Fl, hit me up one night LOL.

I guess you could say I'm kinda on phase 2, I'm usually between 20-35 net carbs, but I have yet to add any fruits, I do eat a 100 cal pack of walnuts/almonds that emerald nuts makes in little packages that work great for me. Oh and I've found I can eat a teaspoon of jif low sodium peanut butter in the evening if I get hungry. Saturday when I spurged I ended up with 1627 calories 108 net carbs 109 gm protein 8 gm fat so I think as long as I stay under 50net carbs I will lose.

Yes I've done about every diet too, in fact back in june 2012 I did the MRC (metabolic Research Center program) Lost 32 lbs and got down to size 8 but once I hit maintenance after about 2-3 months all my cravings came back and so I rejoined in fact two more times thinking 3rd times a charm, not it wouldn't work for me again. Cravings kept coming back and I think I spent well over $3,000 YIKES! I came to the conclusion carbs are my enemy so I started atkins on 3/30/31 , it's coming off slow but that's okay. I don't crave anything either.

Hang in there you can do this!!

FickleHearts 06-30-2015 10:16 AM

Still battling mother nature and it's worse today. Ugh

Did okay yesterday, could have been better.

B - two eggs, scrambled in coconut oil with 2 slices bacon
L - spicy chicken salad with 4g dressing
D - bacon cheeseburger casserole
S - 5 sugar free reese cups (blah)

Yeah, DH whined about not having options and wanted the sugar free candy so I got it for him and couldn't resist. But I made him hide them away so I won't be tempted anymore. He's lost 12 lbs so I guess they aren't affecting him. I don't trust sugar alcohols and I can't tell if they affected me or not due to TOM.

Eh, I'm a little crabby today. Not feeling very well and work is throwing a goodbye party for a coworker, so now I have to resist cake. Meh.

Ficklehearts:

Since I've been doing atkins I don't crave all the cake/sweet stuff or starchy stuff. How long have you been following atkins?

FickleHearts 06-30-2015 02:50 PM

Started last week LOL. I've got a bit to go before that kicks in, but I do remember not having the cravings at all after a month eating clean. I also remember not being hungry as much.

Last night with the candy was my first slip and thankfully it was only sugar free candy. I made sure all the sweets were consumed and gone before we started this endeavor as that's my biggest weakness. Today I've resisted the cake, which has been helped by it being far away from my desk in another department. I've felt so ick all day, honestly, I'm not even hungry. Skipped lunch and took a nap instead.

I'm not sure if its induction flu, TOM, or just bad allergies, but it needs to go away.

Candy In Alabama 06-30-2015 07:43 PM

So the hubby has lost 19 lbs now. I'm super happy for him and I also want to strangle him LOL.

Yesterday:
B- two scrambled eggs and bacon
skipped lunch
D - pork loin with faux taters and cabbage

I love being able to season my cabbage with bacon again. I can even eat my grandmas greens. Ah, southern cooking, how I love thee.

Hello Candy!

Not sure if anyone is familiar with Gabrielle Iglesias, aka Fluffy the stand up comedian, but my husband loves him. I had no clue he'd started a low carb diet. He's looking great. Fluffy ain't that fluffy no more!

The chicken wings were delicious! I probably won't be hungry for dinner tonight.

Hope you guys have a great 4th. I'm pretty booked up till Sun!

Hi all  I have not had time to post muchh lately but I am doing well and I have stayed on plan. DW and I leave for an extended stay with our son and his family in New York on the 7th. Time is running out quickly and I still have some work to complete on my trailer build. Also numerous tasks around the house before we leave.

On Monday I get a new CPAP machine and I am really looking forward to that. I have used my present one every night since October 2006 and it is getting tired.

skelley331 07-02-2015 11:20 PM

Had a good day went to watch our youngest grandson play baseball and they won yay!! Stayed on plan had a low carb burger tonight!! More games tomorrow

rpm3060 07-03-2015 07:00 AM

I did not weigh in this week.. Had an episode when I had my blood taken . They broke a vessel, and have been back and forth to doctor, as it was so bad, it was something doctor wanted to watch. Will weigh in on Monday for sure.

We mentioned weighing in daily.. I have been doing that forever. It keeps me focused and it is a habit.

Depending what my weigh in is next week, I may add in fruit..

Wishing everyone a great day.

Dee

Skelley!

I found you!

So sorry to hear about the botched blood test job! Yikes!

Feel better.

Weird that there are only 500 posts allowed. Not sure why that's a deal.

Great to see you here. I'm in a HUGE quandry over my weight. I was doing GREAT and on Tuesday after dinner out with friends I had a frozen yogurt with candy on it. I've been running, exercising, eating right on plan...and I'm 4 lbs up!!! WT&*$%???!!! Seriously! I don't get it. So, I'm hanging in there and eating on plan and just waiting to see how this plays out.

Have a lovely holiday weekend!

Hope everything gets better for you rpm3060..

Skelley have lots of fun at them games, hope they win more.:D

Larry, Hope you and you wife have a wonderful vacation at your sons in New York.. :)

birdietweet, maybe its just water weight, Im so afraid if I up my carb limit I to will gain like that, when I get closer to goal im gonna have to try and find my owl, then maintenance. seems im so carb sensitive, its really gonna be terrible if all I can handle is 30 or 40 carbs a day and gain from that..

I had a very busy day at work today. these 9 hour days are killing my feet, I have plantar fasciitis, once I get it feeling better, i have long hours again, I have to stand on my feet the whole time no breaks, unless no customers, and that rarely happends.. lol My granson Tuckers Birthday party :woo: is tomorrow, He is turning 2, me and my daughter is baking the cake, we are going to make a construction cake, hope it don't turn out to bad... lol Its my weekend off from work, im hoping I at least can have sunday to do nothing....:beach: Oh, and my daughters dr. yesterday said her C-section :preg: will probably be after august 20th. Hello to everyone! :) Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of july..:D

smith1313 07-03-2015 04:43 PM

Candy...congrats on the new grand baby!!

birdie...you could be gaining muscle with losing the fat, do you measure?

Even with all my oopsies, I managed to bring in a loss for the first week!!! Now my position is changing and my hours at work, should prove interesting. I did start walk/jog this last week too along with playing more in the pool

skelley331 07-03-2015 10:23 PM

Welll i was doing so great this week but today i ended up at Dairy Queen, bummer, but it's so nice not to get all upset and down because i know whatever my gain is tomorrow i'll get it off, i'm not running a race i'm changing my lifestyle one day at a time and i will get there.:carrot:

Candy In Alabama 07-04-2015 07:13 AM

thanks smith 1313.. Congrats on the loss...

Skelley there will be days we will do this, like you said its a lifestyle change, and I know I will have goodies when I want them, just not everyday like I use to. Life without them ever, would be horrible, I think that's one reason I always gained all the weight back in the past. I never allowed myself to ever have them till I got fed up and went back to my old ways. I think this time for me im going to allow myself to have a little here and there and always stay focused, and we can get it right back off again, a couple pounds on then take that couple pounds off, that is my new plan this time around.. staying focused for life... We can do this!!! It's gonna be like everything else in my life, when I mess it up I'm gonna clean it up!! Always stay on top of it and it will work... :high: Busy day for me, Tuckers Birthday party, then when I get home, relaxing and watching fireworks, heck I might just give myself a treat and drink me a couple beers...:D

Have a bang of an Independence Day Everyone!!! :D
