Congrats to that Great Weight losss...

I do not know if you have a Publix Supermarket Near you, but if you do, they have the Nestle Sugar Free Coffee Mate, the large 32 oz. ones 2 for $5.00.
I bought the Vanilla which I love, and the Hazelnut.. The hazelnut is soooo good.

Grats to the losses!

I love the sugar free french vanilla coffemates. I alternate between it and heavy cream every other day in my coffee! Wish they'd do a sugar free butter pecan, that's my favorite.

Down 1lb myself this week. Not as much as I want, but down is down and I'll take it.

I cheated today. We went to TGIF's and I had the Jack Daniels ribeye and shrimp. I debreaded the shrimp but I'm sure the Jack Daniels sauce had sugar in it. Oh well. All I've had today is that with broccoli so maybe the damage isn't too bad. I forgot all about the sauce man. It was good though!

Hubby is down 28 lbs. I'm so happy for him.... So happy I'm plotting smothering him with a pillow. :p

Hope you all have a great weekend!

rpm3060 07-12-2015 08:49 AM

I keep forgetting to post my daily food intake here, but will try to remember. I do post it on Myfitness.pal daily...

Wishing everyone a real nice Sunday.. 96 here in South yesterday.. But it is our summer...

smith1313 07-12-2015 11:18 AM

oooo I fell off the wagon big time and smacked my head pretty good (not really) ....I got down to 184 but with work and the pizza they provided through a working lunch, it was downhill from there.....this am was 189 !! almost everything back, totally disgusting. I woke up, drank some water, bandaged my head, strapped up my shoes and hit the treadmill.

FickleHearts 07-12-2015 01:45 PM

It's 96 outside at the moment here, heat index places it about 109 with a high of 116. Even waiting till 9 to go for my walk, it's still a scorcher out there. UGH.

Thank you for A/C John Gorrie from my hometown area of Apalachicola!!!

Well, my cheat didn't kick me out of ketosis, so YAY! My legs are killing me today. Took back up my kettle bell circuits. I hate squats. Started a Yoga for beginners DVD, but wow am I NOT flexible LOL.

I also jogged during my walk and it didn't kill me! I'm actually quite proud of that.

Leftover steak today with green beans, taco salad tonight with deviled eggs if I get snack-ish. I'm feeling pretty good right now. Still haven't seen the scale move down much or my clothes feel any looser, but I'm enjoying this WOE so I don't see any reason to quit. As long as I don't gain, I'm just going to continue on!

Larry H 07-13-2015 08:37 AM

Checking in. DW and I have been traveling for a week from our home in Florida to our son's home in Niverville, NY. We have stopped and visited friends and family along the way. The great news is that I was able to stay completely on my Atkins Induction eating plan while dining in restaurants along the way.

We are at our son's home now so I should be able to post more often now.

I have not weighed for a couple of weeks and was pleasently surprized by a 4 pound loss!!

FickleHearts 07-13-2015 09:21 AM

Hope you enjoy your vacay Larry and grats on sticking to plan while traveling! That's one of my biggest issues.

Well, I finally have two minor NSV's. Pants I wore three weeks ago that I had to unbutton to sit in are now fitting perfectly and my stomach just barely hangs over. :carrot: I bought two new shirts on Sat a size smaller than normal to have something to shrink into, but they already fit. So the heck with the scale LOL.

Today's plans are:
B- deviled eggs, coffee with splenda and sugar free creamer
L - hot wing (if I'm hungry)
D - taco salad again

And I just passed up a doughnut! WOOT! :carrot:

FickleHearts 07-13-2015 11:49 AM

Anybody here take alpha lipoic acid? My husband was diagnosed with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and in the course of researching that I came across the Atkins site saying it's a good supplement for weight loss and liver function. Now, he's lost 30lbs in 3 weeks so I think the LC diet is working just fine without additions, but was just curious. Losing weight period will clear up his liver issue, but hey, anything to help right?

I have been taking alpha lipoic acid for years as a great antioxidant.. I did find out from hubby's doctor, it should not be taken with any form of cholesterol meds including natural cholesterol prevention. My husband takes the natural Red Yeast Rice for his cholesterol, and alpha lipoic acid is not to be taken with that.

Today been one of those busy days.. :running: :dizzy:
breakfast veg omelet
didn't have time for lunch. work was to hectic and new boss is always there, no scheduled breaks just eat in between customers if you can..
dinner a couple ultra beers I usually don't drink everyday, but I got to do something to get sleepy by 5 pm, its 3:30 now... I'm cooking chicken breast and left over veg's.. then I got to get my shower and get to bed and get up at 1:30 in the morning.. Its my turn again to open the store for a couple days...

JSK77 07-14-2015 05:20 PM

Well, being numb for 5 hours has made eating kind of difficult today (dental work-temporary crown put in) and now that I can eat, biting down is irritating.

It's 5:15pm and so far today I've had some "breakfast balls" (bulk sausage/ground beef/minced onion/2 eggs/8oz sharp cheddar combined and made into small meatballs) and a cup of coffee with heavy cream at 9:00am.

Yesterday I made some kale chips and overdid it with the salt-oops, so I've been super thirsty but unable to drink without dribbling-good times!;)

FickleHearts 07-15-2015 08:35 AM

B- 6 deviled eggs, coffee with sugar free creamer and 2 pks splenda
L - broccoli cheese chicken casserole
D - hamburger patty and mustard greens
S - sugar free peanut butter fudge (fat bomb recipe I found and made)

Exercise - yesterday walked 2.5 miles, today riding bike and doing kettlebells

Weight loss is still not happening on the scale, but my legs feel like they are getting toned. Meh. I'm getting really really tired of not seeing results. :(

I don't exercise with the exceptions of how many steps I do in a day! You are probably building muscle which will result in no weight loss. When you do a lot of exercising your muscles will retain water is what I was told.

Atkins Induction Day 85

Wow!! I can't believe that I have completed 85 days on Atkins Induction without
deviating a single time from my plan.:D:carrot::D

Today the scale rewarded me for my dilligence with a 3 pound loss. :D:D:D

I have lost 47 pounds in 85 days by following Atkins but also watching my calories (calorie counting is not normally part of the Atkins plan). I have kept my daily calories around 1450. When I was only calorie counting I totally stopped losing any weight for many months. This inspite of the fact that I had reduced my daily calories to 900.

rpm3060 07-15-2015 11:47 AM

Larry.... You are an inspiration.. Congrats on all the weight you have lost. Be proud of yourself.

For any of you that eat any of the Atkins treats and use myfitness.pal, please remember that myfitness.pal does not give you the net carbs. Only the total carbs.. So remember to figure that out when counting..

For instance.. I had a Caramel Chocolate Nut Roll for a treat. My fitness has it as total carbs of 19 g. We count net carbs, not total

On Atkins bar it says, 19 total carbs, minus 6grams fiber -10 sugar alcohol, making the net carb 3 grams not 19.

I can eat that bar on occasion without gaining weight.

Dee

if you do a search on atkins products there are several that come up that have calculated the net carbs and sugar acohol, I use my fitness pal and have logged in for 1,124 days straight, I always deduct my fiber from my carbs to get the nc

Dee and Skelly Thanks for the kind words. As far as net carbs go, I guess I am the odd ball on this thread. I know Atkins plan counts net carbs subtracting fiber from total carbs, but ever since I started 85 days ago I have only tracked total carbs never net carbs. My total carb average for the 85 days rounded off is 5 grams a day.

Good morning all-

Grats skelley on the size 8's and the loss Julie!

Still nada for me. /bangs head on desk

Today:
B - 4 deviled eggs, coffee with splenda and sugar free creamer
L - hamburger steak with onions
D - garlic parm wings with seasonal veggies
S - fat bomb chocolate peanut butter sugar free fudge

Exercise - rode my bike to my grandmas - I don't get it. Two months ago I was riding to work every day then 6 miles in the evening. Then it got excruciatingly hot. I try to ride a mile yesterday and could barely make it. Is it the heat or the diet or what???? I don't see how I could have lost that much progress in so little time :( I did manage a full kettlebell circuit though so at least that is something.

I'm hoping my lack of progress is just water retention. My grandmas friend said I looked like I lost weight, so here's hoping. Hubby has now lost 34 lbs.

bah on men (no offense Larry :) You are truly an inspiration. )

I did pass up on coconut cake, birthday cake, and pie last night. Had my tiny little meat patty and greens while everyone else chowed down on lasagna. You know, I was perfectly fine with that. I didn't crave it at all!

JSK77 07-16-2015 03:19 PM

FickleHearts and Julie: hope this scale starts reflecting all your hard work soon. I know how frustrating that can be.

Larry: 85 days at an average of 5(?) carbs per day? Wow! That's impressive

Skelley: over 1000 days of tracking your food?-Amazing! No wonder you're fitting into your size 8s

Yesterday was another challenging day. I had to leave for work at 1:00pm and didn't get home until 4:00am. All I ate during that time was some peanuts as there were no other options. Now today I'm exhausted and cravings sweets which hasn't happened in weeks.
