I'm in, you can never have too many challenges when it comes to getting fit :] What better way to lose the weight for grad school than aiming for the wonderful Onderland by Christmas!
Starting out at 210lbs, my dissertation fieldwork means walking about 10 miles three times a week over rough terrain, hoping to work in about 30 minutes of off-road running in-between observation sites since I can get all red and sweaty without coming across anyone for hours
Even if I don't get down to the 100's if I can build up my fitness then i'll be happy :]
Really going to try and watch my diet, sticking to between 1200-1400 a day and really watching
what i'm eating too. Really need to be strong with this as my mother isn't very supportive of my weight loss journey and until i'm permanently moved into student halls I have to eat the same food as the family (it's cultural, if I didn't it would be like slapping my family in the face) but if I can get out of the house every day for brisk walks/slow runs then it's manageable.
Once I get back to university i'm making use of the £30 year long gym membership, especially since i'll only be in once a week. If I can keep up three days of fieldwork combined with three afternoons of structured gym sessions it'll be better than 7 days of laziness
