Hi! I used to post here alot and found it very inspiring. I really got off track and sometimes when I was binging I'd think of this forum. So about 2 weeks ago I began to lurk. Here I am! I love the challenges, so I'm in.
Current weight: 167
Goal: 150
Reward: getting to wear the clothing I wore at this time last year when I weighed 148 !!!
My goal is to reach 230 by Solstice (dec 21), so for Dec 1, I'm going to tack 5 lbs onto that. So, 235 by December 1. That's 10 pounds a month. Which seems like a lot but is so do-able.
Also, I want to build up a swimming regiment. 3 days a week of swimming, 3 days of lifting.
i am sooo into this-- i was visiting my folks this weekend which always turns me back into a crazy teenager who is hypersensitive about her weight and though i have shed a few pounds in the past month or so i was irritated by what their scale said to me this weekend (175. god! it's like the soundbarrier of weight for me.). i'll be out there again for christmas and would love to go 10 or 15 lbs lighter. my plan is to:
*wake up ON TIME everyday and get in a good (20minute) AM walk with the dog instead of a 5 minute dash down the sidewalk.
*give her her 'regular' evening walk EVERYDAY instead of 2 or 3 xper week (45min - 1 hr)
*drink 2 nalgenes of h2o everyday
*get away from my desk at work more during the day-- and not set foot in the rickety elevator here. use the stairs for everything!
*make it to kickboxing 2x per week instead of just once
*cut out beer!!! ok limit beer to 3 - 4 on one weekend day/night
my reward will be a new pair of my very favorite but so-freaking-expensive jeans.
5'7"

lowest wieght- 114 (welcome to the horror of a highschool eating disorder)
current weight- 175
x-mas goal- 165
long-term goal 150 - 160

Me too, me too! I'm in! hehe Ellis you cracked me up with your first post. I am soooo ready to get on track you have no idea. I went to my mommies over the weekend so that really started me off right. She has a garden so I got lots of fresh veggies. So this week is going pretty good so far. Ok where do I start?
Mini goal: Lose 10 pounds by Oct. 16 for a company party = 180
Reward: lookin' so fine in my beautiful party dress
Xmas Goal: Lose 15 pounds = 165
Reward: Blow my bonus on some new fab clothes!!!
I would love to join you guys in this challenge. Currently I am at 150lbs (down from 187) and would like to loose another 25 but will make my x-mas goal 15.
BTW RuthXXX I was just about to eat my dim sum as I read your post and instead I just ate the insides (it was good anyway). I will challenge myself to stay on track with food and water and start that exercise again (the WATP dvd's are getting really dusty)
I haven't been able to weigh in lately. I should know next week. I feel smaller, my waist is 1" smaller than it was a few months ago. But I have to admit I have not been eating well at all. Hopefully I can go buy lots of veggies tomorrow. Hope you're all doing well. I think I'll weigh myself like this Ya'll have a good day.
haven't had a chance to weigh myself but i've been pretty well on track (except for getting up in the morning-- my poor puppy!) i've been good about making good food choices and have been drinking loads of water and using the stairs and am solid on the evening walk so all is not lost. i am however going to the austin city limits festival tomorrow which is a 3-day outdoor music festival (i'm unbearably excited to see the pixies) and i'm starting to get a little anxious about three days of festival food and beerbeerbeer (goes down so nicely in this texas heat). i'll of course have a nalgene of h2o strapped to my side but don't think i'll be able to resist the ugre to 'cut loose' and drink a bit and possibly partake in texas' infamous festival/state fair fry-up. the lone star state in notorious for offering --are you ready for this-- fried oreos, fried twinkies, and fried snickers bars... luckily those sound repellant to me, but funnel cake??? how can i resist? i'm not made of stone people.
my problem is that i have this ridiculous notion that 'cutting loose' means ditching my diet and i am easily lured into the mindset that if i do indulge a moderate amount then i've already blown it. I have never been the type of person who travels well with good eating habits anyway-- i realize there are plenty of ways to make good choices at events like this or on vacation in general and so my main question is if anyone has any advice on how to check this attitude of mine that one slice of pizza and a beer is an open invitation to a festival fried foods free-for-all.
sorry for the alliteration and thanks for the advice
And everytime I eat vegetables
It makes me think of you
And everytime I eat vegetables
I don't know what to do, to do ow-ooo
