Talking Week 6 Challenge chat!

Good morning and welcome to week 6 of our Christmas Challenge!

I hope everyone had a good weekend and all you Canadian chicks had a great Thanksgiving

Well I have been going up and down for the last 2 weeks but I am still hoping to get to my goal by December 1.

I got lots of exercise on the weekend by finishing up packing and cleaning the apartment.

Mauvais - good luck with your continued venture getting ready to move. We moved last year the week of Thanksgiving and the after my Father died, talk about a kick in the pants- was really hard to enjoy a new house and the holidays. DH did almost everything I was in such a funk- we didn't even decorate for Christmas last year not even a tree.

Hannah - what are you doing to get your metabolism kicked up? Congrats on the loss.

Tiki - understand completely how you feel about being wiped out. That feels like what my past year and a half has been. Hoping my new change in schedule will help with my motivation. Good luck getting through Cheer
season.

Trixi - Congrats on getting swore at . I wish I could get to that point.... Your doing great.

Well I weighed again this morning. I started weighing on Tuesday originally so I guess today is my official day which means I am down another pound this AM- so I am down 4 pounds on my challenge-> 13 pounds to go.

Amyjo: I'm not really sure. I've been pretty hyper lately and walking a lot. I've also been having low appetite, so that helps.

On a sort of bad news/good news note my boyfriend and I have decided to call it quits. After eight years and a lot of changes we're kind of headed in different directions with our lives. Right now I feel good about it. I see a field of choices that were not open to me before. However, we will still be living together until after finals. Neither one of us can afford the time or money to move out now. I've been a bit depressed lately about some things in my life and he's been having a bit of an identity crisis. Once we talked things out we both realized what needed to be done and both of us feel good about it.

Sorry to hear about your breakup but if you both feel it is for the best then it is time to move on

Well I had pizza last night for dinner but only 2 small pieces so I guess that is not so bad. I think I may have worked it off by doing laundry - going up and down 4 flights of stairs several times must count for something

Hannah, what a mature decision. I know it won't be easy, but you sound very positive about the change.

Amyjo, I hope this Thanksgiving and Christmas is better for you. I certainly missed my Dad last week during our Thanksgiving. I had a major cry on the back porch, but I guess I needed it.

Mauvais, will you get a washer and dryer for the new house? What are we down to... two days?

The house actually came with a newer model washer and dryer - they are computerized so unless my DH and I help my parents with them they will have to handwash or buy new clothes each week

No seriously, if the power goes out their vcr says 12:00 for the next month until DH fixes it for them. They told us not to buy them a DVD player as it was too complicated for them

Good eveing everyone...hope you are all doing great! just wanted to say hi this evening....really tired but will post more tomorrow!

Hanah, I know what it's like making that sort of decision. sad but exciting as well, because who know what comes next, the good thing about it is you are able to control the next part of your life. Make the best decisions for you and not have to consider HIS feelings anymore. Live it and love it girl it's a whole new world. Take Care.

Dale Sorry that you are stressed out right now - being short staffed really adds to it, doesn't it? Hope things get better soon...

Well if last night is any indication I should be losing some weight in the next week or at least end up with calves of steel from running up and down the stairs at the new house. I figure that between the stairs and painting I should be developing some muscles I didn't know I had

When you're finished with your house, Mauvais, you can continue your exercise regime at my house.
