Oh I got carried away and didn't finish. I'm on Body For Life, and I am eating the Eating for Life plan. I love it. 6 small meals a day, rarely get hungry, and I'm finally learning to not overeat!

I think saying "wife" for two women...or "husband" for two men is just fine. It is what you are...it just doesn't sound right to call a woman husband, no matter how butch she may be. I think along with the new law...that appropriate marriage licenses are in order with two spaces for wives and husbands.

You know what makes me sick? Who was it the other day (someone involved in the political campaign) said something to the effect of, "If we allow marriage between same sexes, it's the first step toward allowing bestiality."
God. Give me strength. Marriage is about love between two people. It's that "simple". Why the **** can't those idiots see beyond "sex".

BTW, I personally like the word, "partner". But maybe that's because I'm a married hetero. And a feminist. Just trying to break down some of the fences, maybe. I hate being called a "wife".

Harry's brother referred to his wife as his "mattress cover". I hated him a lot! Luckily he died before I could murder him.

How about 'my old lady'? Ewwww. All my ex-husband's redneck friends used that one. He was threatened repeatedly to never use it on me!

Jason teases me a lot on the phone...he'll say old lady, or ball and chain on the phone at work 'cause he knows I can't slug him. I prefer "the boss" myself...cuz it's true. One day I was on the phone with him at work...and his co-workers were right there...and when I said "I love you" he said (really loud and obnoxiously) "I can't say THAT....my FRIENDS will hear!"

What thread is this?

My DH and I have a little ritual in the mornings. I always wave goodbye to him as he drives off, and we blow kisses and make the "I love you" hand sign to each other. Starts the day off nicely.
